  As you may know, 32 bit OS' are limited less than 4 GB of RAM, unless the EAP is enabled, and it will impact your server when it starts to use on 3GBs of RAM.

  I suggest that using a 64 bit OS, this way you can throw all the RAM you want in it.

  Well, here's the problem. Your memory is DDR2 which is obsolete. They make 4 gig DDR2 (not 8 GB) modules, but a pair of them will cost more $US and maybe as much as $150US. Too much to spend on an old laptop.
