Satellite P300 - 13 M - recovery disk do not work
Hello
I have a Satellite P300 - 13M. I want to reinstall my Vista, but the recovery of the program disk do not work.
I do not have to uninstall the program, it is also on my list of software. I can see the program in C:\Program Toshiba Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator, but when I click on ToRDC.exe it does not start.
These are all the files in the map:

I also have the map on E:\HDDRecovery with all the files in it (4.12 GB).
Is there a way that the program works or can I make HDDRecovery map an ISO image and burn it to a cd?

Sorry for my question but what you want to do exactly?
You want to retrieve the laptop using the recovery disk or you want to create a recovery disk?
The Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator creates the recovery disk using files in HARD disk recovery file that is placed on the second partition.
If you want to recover the laptop, then you simply boot from the recovery disc.

I assume you are using recovery discs that you created using Toshiba recovery disc creator tool, right?
It seems silly now, but something went wrong and I m afraid recovery disks are now useless. It turns out that you can't change anything or force the cell to the recovery image installs successfully. The only thing you can try is - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD4103KB0000R01.htm
I don't think this will help, but you can test it in any case. Now, you have two options:
-for the restore disc original order from Toshiba
-install the clean version of the OS by using the Microsoft installation disc -

Hello
It's not easy to say what's wrong with the 2nd recovery disk.
I would recommend formatting the HARD drive completely and try again to recover the operating system. If it doesn't work, well try to contact Toshiba. Here, you can order the recovery CD. Maybe the problem of recovery will be solved as a gesture of goodwill.
Nevertheless, the recovery cd is not expensive. -
Satellite P100 - 160 PSPAAE - recovery disk does not work
Hello
My problem is that when I used the restore disk provided with the laptop it froze the computer when he was to "expand our files (0%). »
I thought that drive was defective, so bought a new drive of Toshiba (£30) but get the same error.
Machine is now starts rained because the recovery disks erased the hard drive before freezing.Any ideas?
Thank you
Hello
To be honest, this is the first time I see this error
I doubt that the recovery disk is defective or the drive HARD because as you say it was possible to install Win XP on this laptopI would recommend formatting the HARD drive again to erase all partitions and format the HARD drive using the Win XP disc. Then take the recovery disk and try to reinstall the new Vista operating system

For 1000-zx satellite recovery disk does not work
XP Recovery disk does not work. The 3 options are unresponsive. Is there an easy solution. All other functions of cell phones seem ok. It is a reliable machine for more than 3 years, but now must use the recovery disc. Brilliant ideas greatly appreciated.
Hello
Well, I put t know why you recovery CD doesn t work. Have you checked the CD some scratches? Have you tried to clean this CD?
However if it of impossible to use the recovery CD, you can contact the ASP and buy a new one. It doesn t expensive.
In addition, you can install an original Windows operating system and then all the Toshiba necessary drivers on the Toshiba site.Good bye

Satellite A50 - recovery disk is not working
Hello
I'm trying to do a clean install on my laptop, but the recovery disk is not working.
The files transferred to the laptop, but once done, I get an error message that says: "the system is not fully installed. Please run Setup again."Does anyone have suggestions as to how to fix it?
It took me four days to get to this point and make me very frustrated.
Thanks heaps
Naomi
Hello
What is the installation using another CD; That is to say the Microsoft Windows XP disk?
Have you tried that?In my opinion, this would help to pinpoint the problem
The error message can be linked to different issues; I mean the HARD drive or a single partition problem could also be possible.Try to format the drive HARD whole again. Delete all partitions from the HARD drive and check if you can proceed with the installation.
But if you will not be able to install the OS by using the recovery disk and other disks then a question must relate to a part of the material. (possibly HDD)

System recovery disks do not work.
I have a HP G62 339WM Notebook PC with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I bought by mail, system recovery discs and they do not work. And my HP Support Assistant displays "an error has occurred" and end not updates.
The Troubleshooting Guide for the recovery started from CD or DVD says: "update the firmware of the drive. This is especially true if the disks were received from HP customer service by mail. The firmware of a DVD player (the pilot) isn't able to recognize the support of recovery disk which was created using a newer DVD manufacturing process. Download and install updates on the firmware of the DVD available at HP that corresponds to the type of DVD drive on your computer. »
How do I update the firmware of the player when my HP Support Assistant would conduct no updates. I downloaded the latest Hp Support Assistant and he always always says "an error has occurred."
My laptop model has no updates from HP.
As new as your laptop is I doubt you need a firmware update for the CD/DVD drive.
Could you give a little more detail also the recovery disks do not work. For example you get an error, or is the laptop just not boot from them and goes directly into Windows?
Have you tried to put the first disc in the drive, shut down the laptop, wait a minute or two and turn on the laptop, start typing the ESCAPE key to get the menu. Should be an option of F9 to select the boot device. Select the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER.

I'm not so happy owner of a HP Pavilion S3120N. I am running windows vista home edition. The motherboard went out so I replaced it with a Zotac GeForce 8200 - ITX Wifi series. Now the computer says it is noa a hp solution valid, and the recovery disks do not work. is there a way to fix this without buying a new operating system?
Yes, return the Zotac motherboard and get an OEM HP/Compaq M2NC51-AR / HematiteXL-GL8E motherboard. I know that's not the answer you want to hear, but the recovery discs are locked to a specific set of HP/Compaq machines with specific HP OEM motherboards. Apart from this, you will need to buy a new OS.

Satellite C650 - error reading disk and the recovery disk does not work
Hello
I have a toshiba Satellite C650, who has recently developed with a disc read error. I want to access the command prompt to try some possible solutions I've read on the internet.
I made a Windows 7 recovery disk using my other acer laptop which has also installed Windows 7 64-bit. When I use the recovery disk and it loaded the files etc it evokes just a black screen and the cursor.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
I tried to start my computer acer laptop from the recovery disk and it worked fine.As is - this does anyone have suggestions as to why I get the message "disk read error - press ctrl, alt and delete to restart?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
On this virtual path, it is not easy to offer the exact diagnosis, but of course, there must be a problem with the HARD drive. Can you get a second one for test purposes and exchange it. Just to be sure if the HDD is troublemaker.
But there is something else:
> I made a Windows 7 recovery disk using my other computer acer laptop...
Sorry, but I don t understand this. Can you please explain what you did exactly? -
Vista recovery disk does not work
my recovery for a6057c disk will not work after that I used the NeoSmart
recovery disk. After logon to Vista I see that empty office, I can access the task
Manager by CTRL - ALT_DEL.manager.Windows and all my files are on drive D and my C is the drive has nothing on this subject now. I'd do it
I just want to make a disaster Recovery and
all over again with new factory. Does anyone have any ideas?I now remove the prtition C on my drive.
Vista still labels the d drive, I have no C?
I found the answer on the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
Item number: 947288 primary partition drive letter designation is lost when you use WinRE to repair a GPT in Windows volume
The article is also for Vista.
Article ID: 223188 How to restore the drive letter of the system / boot in Windows
Would do the same thing.
I took the article to use regedit to swap my C & D return records.
Now windows Vista starts OK. (All I had before was just an empty office).
I also received my HP Factory disaster recovery disks it looks they will work if I need.

Although earlier, I tried to grab the laptop and disks do not work, I set the BIOS to make the player load first, and everything that happens is a small comand window flashes up a gray screen is displayed with a chart of tape on it without any option for me too choose, and he stays on this screen forever.
Can someone help me?
Thank you, Kris
Hello
The reader at the link below must be compatible with your laptop and will offer a little more storage. You might well be able to install a hard drive with a larger capacity, but this should be a choice course.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes

Recovery disk does not work now I have installed a new hard drive.
I replaced my hard drive on my laptop HP - computer pavilion dv7 notebook. My recovery disks do not seem to work now, I get to 62% completion and then the error message "Recovery Manager is unable to restore your computer by using the original image. Please contact HP support. "Error code: 0xe0ef000e" do I need to buy a new HP recovery discs? Thanks, Nick
Hi, Nick:
Unfortunately, I don't have any experience in troubleshooting these special software installations.
We should expect to download and install.
If they are not, I have no tricks up my sleeve for you to try.
I recommend starting a new thread describing your questions with this software and hope that someone else in the support forum can help you with these items.
See you soon,.

Satellite A30 - 203 - recovery disk does not work
Hi all
I have an old Satellite A30-203 and have a problem. I tried to format my laptop but the product recovery cd does not seem to work in deletion the data on my disk, its becomes blocked during loading files of ntfs? Now I am not able to retrieve a windows session would I need a new product recovery cd and would be able to get it?
Thank you
Hi dimation,
It is difficult to say what is the reason of this but made is either it s a laptop problem itself or the recovery disc (e.g. scratches) causes this problem.
In my opinion the best way to check this using a Microsoft Windows disk. If the installation completed successfully, you need a new recovery disk. As a result, you can ask a service provider authorized in your country! :)

Hello
Very strange boyfriend
Would it be possible that the CD/DVD drive is unable to read the first disc correctly?
I mean, maybe it's a disk problem and not the problem with the dataI don't know what's wrong here, but you have some a lot of m options here:
To recover the laptop, you must use the Toshiba recovery disks or HARD drive recovery
You can use the HARD drive recovery process?
Turn on the device, press F8, choose fix my computer-> drive HARD recovery. If this is not possible? Well. You can always order a new disc here:
