Satellite P300-23V - marker is suddenly jump

I have a SATELLITE P300-23V with Windows 7 Home Pemium.
I have an irritating problem.

When I write a document in Word or write an email in Hotmail manufacturer is suddenly hopping somewhere else during the writing. When you are looking at the keyboard when writing and then search the text, the marker was moved to another place and the wrtitng continues from there. Very frustrating.
I have now examined very closely the text well written and as I said the marker suudenly, no reason, hopps to another location when writing.
Have someone else has experienced this problem and can do something to remedy this?
Is it a hardware problem or software?

Maybe, while typing, you touch a touchpad and cursor moves to another place... Disable a touchpad for a while check if the problem persists

    LED power button fix

    Toshiba
    Satellite P300-h-13

    By Thom
    Wijtenburg

First of all, I would like to
say you that I came up with this correction, after a clean reinstall of the
Vista. (I used the serial number of windows on the bottom of my laptop for)
install, so it's the same license as the OEM of windows and therefore
Tout_a_fait legal.) After the clean install and installation of all the
the drivers listed on the site of toshiba LED power button (also
known as the mute button) and the CDDVD butten (mediaplayer button)
stopped working. After browsing around forums toshiba I found
this case, I removed the support button utility that the mute button has acted as
a mute button. Also the mediaplayer button worked fine. Reinstalled
the utility support for the button and they have stopped working. After many
toshiba calls (I think about 5-6 in one day) they opened a
support ticket for me, because they (team support callcenter)
could not find a solution. Following their advice, I did the
next to try to make it work:

    * Don't have a system restore with the restore DVD.
    * Do you have an another clean install.
    * Install the drivers in various ways (alphabetically reversed by alphabetical order and order of collection DVD).
    * update my BIOS.
    * downloaded a 'new' version of value added package (which was the same thing I already had).
    * installed the VAP with and without technical support button utility, no changes.
    After doing everything
This, they said that they did not know the cause of my problem (at the beginning
they thought it was hardware related). They came with a possible
    anwer:

    "It is."
possible that we removed some features of windows vista
operating system so that our one utility for device drivers
work. In addition, we do support the configuration, that we delivered
When you bought the laptop. »

    Now of course, I have
understand that. I waited allmost a week, no response. Neither
by electronic mail, or by phone, so I decided to google more
    on the problem.

    After a certain
some research on Toshiba forum and Googling I came across
a thread that sayd I must first install the utility 'control '.
and the button press. Unfortunately what it did not work.

    Then, all of a sudden
Windows displays a message saying that I should install the TOSHIBA.
"ACPI-based value-added general use and logical device driver.
I clicked on the provided download link, and the VFR package was a newer version
version of the support page for my laptop which is held. So I downloaded
This PPV version 1.17 and installed it. After a reboot, the buttons
still did not work. But at least I got the file HWSetup.exe, where I
could turn the LED off. Look into the button holder utility, I have
saw that there where buttons like "Toshiba Assist" which my
    the laptop model is not.

    Navigation
through the toshiba forum I found a file named ButtonSettings.ini, in
which I can manually configure special keys. After a google
search on the name of the file, I found that all the buttons list
in a registry key. I saw the "Dimmer" file using the button
folder and clicked on it. Poof... lights went out. Click again,
Poof... lights turn it back on. So I replaced the wrong button definitions
with CDDVD and dimmer values. Saved my changes but is not a restart.
Opens the support button utility and change the path of
MediaPlayer (who was always there to a previous definition) to
Dimmer.exe. checked to see if the button CDDVD pointed
MediaPlayer and restarted. When everything has been started, I pushed on the
button again and presto... MUTE lights off. Pushed again, poof...
lights. Pressed the mediaplayer button and started to mediaplyer. I have
has been very happy when everything worked.
    Now that you
know the story, here's the fix.

    * Difficulty: *.
    * Download and install the new VAP from here: [http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/util_tvap_26084A.exe]
    * Choose Edit in the installation and make sure that everything is checked
    * do NOT restart after the installation.
    * Download the ini fix and the fixed registry
    * Uncompress its contents into your working folder.
    * Copy the ini into C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\TBS (where C: is the drive of program files)
    * In this same folder, start the exe called TBSbtnSt.exe
    * do NOT restart, click on 'no' in the dialog box.
    * Double click on the registry key, and then click 'Yes' to add to the registry
    * Then open the button support utility by clicking Start-> Toshiba-> utilities-> Toshiba assist. Help go to optimilization and click support button tohiba
    * If the path or the description is disabled, fix, and then click Save. See also if the CD/DVD mediaplayer points.
    * Restart you computer now.
    * If everything is is well past your special buttons should work.

    Hello!

  • Satellite P300-1FY - BSOD right video driver problem

    Hello

I bought this laptop a month ago to replace my old who crashed without possibility of repair and I had problems with the video drivers since then. I hoped that the problem would resolve since I am in the middle of my exams and I really have time too much more time to spend to fix it myself, and I also can not him go to the store because I need some software for my exams.

So the problem that in my view, lies in the video drivers for the graphics card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470. While I'm working on my laptop my screen all of a sudden turns black and my computer crashes (including the very unpleasant noise when I play music at the time) after 5 seconds it flashes live and displays a message indicating that a beelschermstuurprogramma niet Super perfect en is naked herstela. In English, it would be something like s video drivers did not work properly and have now been repaired.

It is of course extremely irritating, but it became even more then a few weeks previously when I had a blue screen because of a similar error. What make me lose half an hour of work on my laptop. (and as someone who has had reviews knows, half an hour is not something you can always afford to lose) I ran the wizard, and he sent me to the ATI site to look for the drivers.
The downside is that I could find many drivers, but none for the 3400 series. After an internet search for awhile I finally found some drivers for these series (or they pretend to be), however, this installer was corrupted. I also searched the Toshiba site, but I did find what I was looking for.

The laptop also freezes from time to time without the screen turning black.

Could someone help me with this problem?

    Louis-Philippe

P.S.: quality of the keyboard is really bad also

First of all, you should post the exact code of BSOD and what operating system you are using. Then, we can search for this problem and what is the reason for this on the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
Then please send the BSOD code.

In addition, I put t understand why you can t find a driver on the Toshiba site. Satellite P300-1FY belongs to the PSPCCE series and so I can find a display driver for XP and Vista. So where is the problem? Maybe you should try to install this driver:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

But before you install the driver, remove the old driver first. Reboot the laptop and clean your system with CCleaner. Restart the computer and then install the latest version on the Toshiba site.

The display driver on the factory site Internet (ATI) doesn't work because it s only for cards of office and not for laptops. Then, you can t install and your laptop has only been tested with drivers of Toshiba.

If the new driver doesn't work, you should try to update the BIOS too. You will find on the page of Toshiba.

  • Intel Wifi 5100 found on Satellite P300-1DB

    Good afternoon!

If anyone can, Please * HELP! *

I just bought the Toshiba Satellite P300-1 dB, and from the moment I started, I had problems with my wireless internet connection.

The Intel 5100 Wifi can not find the connectivity (when I know for sure that there is, because the other laptops work correctly) and
"the error I get is" there is no network adapter/hardware installed and configured on this laptop.

After re-booting the laptop for some time he suddenly showed that the network connectivity and I could go on the internet and everything works great.

"The next everything was gone, no network connectivity, and is the reason why Windows is to give: there is no network adapter/hardware installed and configured on this laptop.

I really tried everything, installation driver for Intel Wireless 5100, try to install the hardware for Intel Wireless 5100, but then it shows wireless Intel 5100 # 2 (which means # 1 is really on the laptop, but it is not found!) .

I also tried the full restore, where to get Windows installed again, but nothing helps!

So please if someone can, * HELP! *

If you have the BIOS 1.80, I found a Bulletin on the Toshiba support:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB8A02GW0000R01.htm

So to do a downgrade to BIOS, and then the problem should be solved.

  • Strange problem with the button "Enter" in Vista on Satellite P300-225

A few weeks ago I don't remember exactly when, Windows Vista on my Satellite P300-225 began to spend an incorrect applications scancode when you press the Enter key. It always sends the scancode of key keyboard, even when I hit than the alphanumeric part of the keyboard. It was working properly some time ago, but suddenly, it just started acting like that. No remapping all keys.

Since there are very few programs that Act different on these two keys, it has become quite an annoying problem.

The strangest part of it, is that the problem seems to be somehow related to Windows Vista, as the keys are properly reported on Linux.

If anyone has any idea, please let me know.

  • Sound on Satellite P300-156 problems

I bought a Satellite P300-156 1 year, mainly because he looked good and had Dolby Sound Room. However, I discovered not long after the purchase that he had no Dolby installed - so I tried to download the new drivers on the Toshiba site. They worked and gave me the SmartAudio app to activate the Dolby Virtual Speaker and Headphone Dolby of Dolby Sound Room. -The volume varies, as someone who has a hold on the volume dial. Not only when songs get more coins, but even just when someone speaks.

This is crazy - and very annoying - and disappointing given the speakers harmon/kardon give amazing clarity. 3 driver updates later - still the same problem. Heard about people with the new P500 have the same problem - please does anyone have a solution? I got the problem under Vista 32 bit and now the same thing under 7 64-bit. It's a Conexant driver.

The problem does not occur under the headphones/external speakers.

    Thank you.

    Hello

If I understand this problem, that happened after the driver installation, and after activating the Dolby Sound Room.

In Control Panel-> Audio Smart-> Audio second tab management, you will find a few options.
The mode clasic has been marked.

Uncheck this box and go to the Multi flow modes and configure it.

I m not very well what settings you need to enable or disable because I m not P300 owner, but you should play around with these options and try different settings.

    What we have already done:
-not scanned everything with good antivirus AVIRA (doubt to be a virus problem) no virus found in memory or on disk
-total complete reinstall from the DVD sistem beckup (when the laptop was buy new)
-Battery and BIOS battery disconnected too long to carry out all the data of the memoryes (doubt to be a virus problem), after recoonection the bios battery and battery problem even begin to occure.
    Nothing helps

I looked on the forums of thet is battery problem (defect battery) but no luck in the clear sollution or explanation.
I don't usually buy new battery (if it is 100%, which is the source of the problem) becuse I would that my laptop works perfectly without battery also only be connected to 220 V adapter if its possible.

    Help, please

In my opinion, this is not a battery problem.
Have you noticed that if the laptop is connected to the power adapter only and if the battery is not connected to the laptop?
If there is no difference then I would say that the question is not the battery problem.

Maybe it of problem of graphics but did you try to update the display driver? \
If this is not the case, try this!
In addition, I would recommend checking the computer laptop and external monitor.
If the same could not be visible on the screen internal and external monitor, the graphics card can be affected.

  • Satellite P300-1GN: greenish tint in the upper left corner of the screen

I recently bought a Satellite P300-1GN, best laptop, I have ever bought!

I booted up one morning to find a greenish hue in the upper left corner of the screen, at first I thought it was a graphics issue, but after looking closely, saw there was a line of crack/straight lines in the screen itself.

Fig 1: [http://onfinite.com/libraries/1506419/600.jpg] sorry for the bad quality, camera phone.

    Photo 2: [http://onfinite.com/libraries/1506420/600.jpg]

Then I had a glance at the back of the laptop to see if there was marks, see if something had been abandoned or struck, but no indication of that.

Now the crack grew, and instead of going down, it goes right through the screen :(

    Photo 3: [http://onfinite.com/libraries/1506421/600.jpg]

Could anyone help as to what could be the cause, and if it is covered by the standard warranty 1 year?

    Hello!

To be honest, I've never seen such a display problem, but for me it seems to be a malfunction of the internal display. Looks like the internal display is broken somehow

I think that in this case you need professional assistance from an authorized service provider. Technicians can check the display and tell you how it happened I think.
On the Toshiba site, you can search the nearest ASP:

The point is that you can do this without installing SATA drivers!
Books supports the new SATA controller and the driver is not part of the operating system, and therefore you must first install it.
You need the Intel storage Manger.
Check out the Toshiba driver page!

However, you can set the compatible SATA to AHCI mode and you can install Vista without driver SATA need.
