Satellite P300D - buzzing noise when serving DVDs or videos

I've recently upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate. Since the upgrade, whenever I have watch a movie or other video on my laptop, there's a hum intermittent all minutes from this last for a second or two and seems also makes video stuttering at the same time.

I tried different programs to play movies, windows media, etc vlc player, and I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the latest audio drivers, without that there is no improvement in the problem. Happens if I play a movie from a dvd or a video that is stored on the hard drive and the problem also occurs when you play the music.

My laptop is a Satellite P300D, 3 GB of RAM, Windows 7 Ultimate edition

Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thank you

Hey Buddy,

Have you plugged external speakers to your laptop and you can notice this problem here? Maybe it's a problem of the internal speakers

And how upgrading to Windows 7? Have you used the kit upgrade Toshiba or Microsoft Windows 7 disc?

I never heard on an issue also, so I also recommend the update to the BIOS. You can check from Toshiba Web site for an update.
Before start you the update to ensure that all programs are closed and you are logged on as administrator.

    Hello

For a CD/DVD player, you need a special driver. It s a part of the operating system.
Is the CD/DVD drive listed in Device Manager correctly or you have yellow exclamation points?

Try to remove the CD/DVD drive in Device Manager. Choose the drive > right click > uninstall. After that, restart the laptop.

If it doesn't work you should try to remove the upper and lower filters. Follow this workaround solution Microsoft how to proceed:

  • Re: Satellite L500 - crackling noise when audio plays

    Hi all

I bought a few weeks ago L500 (Windows 7 64-bit). Everything is fine except for the sound. 1 h or more after running computer, the speakers begin to produce a "cracking", "metal" noise when the audio is reproducible, regardless of the source (CD, system sounds, movies, MP3s...). It's just like there are hundreds of "micro-pannes". The same thing with the headphones. This seems also affect all media files, for example the length of 10-minute videos take 12 minutes or so play due to these micro-interruptions. The sound gets worse over time and gets normal once the system is rebooted, but a few minutes later the noise comes back.

I have all the latest Toshiba driver implemented to date, BIOS, LAN, sound cards, etc..

What can I do? Any idea will be welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I don't know much L500 series but creaking sound is annoying problem for A500 series. I think that a graphics card driver is a troublemaker. If your laptop is equipped with an nvidia graphics card, go to his site and update a Vga driver. In my case, it solved my problem. (B-)

    Hi hdw.

Have you chosen the right port of entry on your TV?
    Check this box!

In addition, on the laptop you switch between monitors using the FN + F5 key combination.

I put t know where you life, but normally you must choose in the driver options to display between PAL and NTSC TV standard.

Maybe you have a problem with a Virus, please start with the last Configuration function or do a restart with the OS CD and do a repair of the system files, do a Virus scan. http://www.Softpedia.com/get/antivirus/Microsoft-Blaster-worm-removal-tool-for-WinkXP.shtml

    Hello

    ·        Are you able to hear other sounds of the system on the system?

    ·        What are the steps that you did for your problem?

    ·        Do you have an error message when you try to play videos on the system?

    ·        What application you use to play the videos?

    ·        Remember to make changes to the system?

I suggest you to check if you are able to play these videos on another computer without any problem or not.

Check if the system volume is not muted.

Apart from that, I suggest following the steps mentioned in the article below and check if the problem persists.

  • HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b000: my laptop makes buzzing noise

My laptop makes buzzing noise while playing music or video on both headphones and speakers

    Hi @vineeth_7,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion 15-b000 Sleekbook sizzling/buzzing noise. You can try:

    1. right click the speaker icon in the lower right corner of your time.
    2. click on playback devices.
    3. click on the speakers.
    4. click on properties.
    5. click on the Advanced tab in the Properties window.
    6. change the default menu Format in the highest quality.
    7. apply properties.
    8. click OK to close the Properties window. Restart your laptop and try the sound.

You can try to use theWindows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows.  Reboot the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed.

I recommend to restore the default BIOS settings. You could restore the BIOS withthis document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings. This helped other people.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Hello

Since when did you notice this problem?
Have you installed the latest version of the BIOS?

On this behavior, I found a similar thread:

So I can say this normal behavior of s is on when you press the button mute.

  • Satellite 1805-S274 sometimes stop when running DVD

    Satellite 1805-S274.
Whenever the DVD is in use, it tends to stop the machine. Not always, but most of the time. If I leave an and do not use the machine, it stays on. Once I have start bsuign the DVD player it shuts down after using a little. I assumed longer heating but its pretty clean inside.

Also, I wanted to remove the disc to test without him but I can't understand how to remove this non replaceable disc.

    Any documentation out there?

    Hello

Unfortunately there is no public document on the procedure for disassembly. In any case, from your description the machine stops due to overheating. By DVD burning procedure, the CPU activity increases and reached the critical level. To protect the equipment unit simply turns off automatically.

When the unit is not removed you can not see the situation inside. I recommend to communicate with the technicians and let them clean the unit in a professional manner.

    Hello

looks like a hardware failure. Maybe a faulty display ups or something similar. I suggest you:

Bring your machine to an authorized local ASP. They must correct this mistake and replace defective parts of your laptop.
Here´s a link to find a few ASP in your area:
