  Please also check if this happens in a new profile. If the new profile is correct, you can later copy the necessary personal data of the old profile.   As far as I know Satellite P300/P300D comes with Vista and not with Win7 for Win7 installation drive recovery HARD work not at all. You can install Vista, maybe, but certainly not Win7.

  Because of this, I assume that you have installed your own version of Win7. Can you confirm this?

  Is that HARD drive recovery facility (F8 > fix my computer) works with the installation of recovery only (out of the box).

  To my knowledge, the Satellite P300 series BIOS doesn t contain the ability to switch the AHCI compatible mode.

  I don t think that even after updating the BIOS such option would be available in the BIOS.

  I see on the first screenshot of the BIOS, the SSD drive is connected to the second controller.
  I recommend you connect the SSD to the first controller (instead of the HARD disk).
  Maybe then you could get better performance.

  Just for the note: portable computers with a graphics card ATI supports the AMD chipset, and in this case the ATI graphics card driver contains the SATA driver files.

  However, I guess the HARD disk controller specification allows the use of better performance of SSD drive.

  I worked on a network of customers and I can see that the RSA SSH certificate uses the old hostname of the device + name field but SSH works always inbound and outbound on the VTY lines!

  I thought you were to related keys and recreate it using the encryption key generate rsa command to continue using SSH after a host name changed so that the new certificate contains the new host name?

  Yes after having modified the router setting hostname, SSH domain name will still work with the old certificate.

  What I can suggest is you to recreate through cryptographic key generate rsa command in configuration mode.

I tried to search for the file and the problem together, and then each separately, but nothing I've seen described really my problem, so I thought I should just ask on my problem.

  I read what made other people, changing advanced power settings, changing the media settings, etc. and did those things, but to no avail. It's not a huge deal, because I can just turn off my computer whenever I'm done with it for now, but I don't know if it's a bad omen for the future of my poor computer. So if someone could give me a hand with this point in mind, I'd be very happy.
