  I've seen other people talk about that here on this site, and in all cases so far, it's the "fn lock" or "function" on their keyboard (usually a laptop keyboard).  The zero key is used for anything else until you disable the lock feature.

  I have Windows 8 on a laptop Samsung.

  When the NUMLOCK is turned on, all the numbers to work, EXCEPT the button zero (0).

  When you press on, it opens the small menu "undo" in the upper left corner of the screen.  It's as if the function-0 key is stuck.

  All ideas of difficulty would be appreciated.

  My Samsung laptop has a "Fn lock" keys just above of the + key.  I pressed it and it solved the problem you describe.

  I finally found it after a day or two to deal with 0 menu key.

  I posted this question three times and every answer I'm away does not solve the problem.  It is obviously a software problem as my numbers keyboard works when signing on (I have the numbers in my administrator password), but once I get to the desktop and open a program where I can enter a (Journal of Word, Excel, power) number on the numeric keypad gives no answer when the keys are affected.  Disable "(Num Lock) and work to end keys (arrows, PG."   I swapped keyboards and downloaded all the drivers that I found nothing doesn't.
  I uninstalled the keyboard and rebooted and the problem remains.
  No, I don't have a laptop, it's a PC.

  But what of the fact that number of my keyboard pad works fine now only when I sign and before when I had Windows Vista as operating system?  The only thing that has changed is loading and upgrade to Windows 7.

  Everything that touches the keyboard has not been charged at this time here, that's why it works. Your computer has not loaded all of the software and drivers associated with your account until after the connection. This is where the problem begins. IntelliType options vary according to the model of the keyboard you have. You can check for numlock settings in there related or just reset default. If this does not help, you can uninstall intellitype, reboot. The pad is a basic keyboard function and should not need Intellitype to work. The numeric keypad works while the Intellitype driver is uninstalled? If this isn't the case, then the likely driver isn't the problem. If the numeric keypad doesn't work try to install Intellitype by using "Run as Administrator".

  If the problem is not be caused by a setting in the keyboard driver or a problem with the installation of the driver, then it is located elsewhere, probably in one of your 3rd party applications. It is not really important if you had all the same applications running in a different operating system without any problem of keyboard.

  For a few months now, I could not use the /, *,-. 4, 5, 6,., or 0 keys on the numeric keypad. All other keys on the laptop works. I did a few driver updates since then for the keyboard. Sometimes after that several several presses the keys work briefly, then shut down again after a few minutes. In my view, it could be a software problem, I became unable to use the keys on the right after the installation of the application to the emulator Android of Nox.

  Solution

  For me, uninstall the Nox App Player solved the problem immediately. If someone has a similar question on any laptop model and has installed Nox, but didn't need it, I would try that

  I have a Tecra M10 - 13L with Vista Business SP2 32-bit installed.

  I tried to update my BIOS from v1.6 to the currently available in download v3.0 "bios - 20091104152403.zip" page support and unpacked "P0065v300.exe", dated to the 4.11.2009. When I run the program, I always get the message windows "install2 does not work" and that the process is abandoned.

  In the C:\TOSHBIOS folder. UPD, I found an install2.exe dated 12.08.09 which seems is decompressed from the bios update file.
  Any ideas how the update can be done?

  I already loaded the update servers diferent BIOS file and tried several times, but its still the same problem.

  Is there something wrong with the laptop?
  BIOS should be updated only if you have a problem. If the laptop works well, then I wouldn't update this

  However, I found three BIOS for Tecra M10 v3.0

  -bios - 20091103164158.zip

  Try if one of the packages of the BIOS might be decompressed correctly and the exe file could be executed.

  To help you to propose measures to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:

  1. have you installed the drivers for the keyboard?

  2. is it a USB keyboard? If so, then try connecting the keyboard to the other USB port and check if the problem persists.

  3. are you aware of any recent software or hardware on the computer changes?

  Try to activate the numeric keypad and check if it helps, here are the steps:

  1. open on-screen keyboard by clicking the Start button, tap all programs, accessories, ease of access, and then clicking on-screen Keyboard.

  2. click on Options, check the Pad box and then click OK.

  But I have a little problem with the eco, "speaker" one button touch pad touch power button. They do not work! 2 days ago that I updated my Windows 7 after the same problem. Today, I have the problem again.

  I tried an option where I can support this button, but no result.

  Is it possible to reinstall?
  I installed the software eco again, but it will not work with the button on the left side. Same thing with the touchpad on/off button.

  I have a toshiba Satellite C650, who has recently developed with a disc read error. I want to access the command prompt to try some possible solutions I've read on the internet.

  I made a Windows 7 recovery disk using my other acer laptop which has also installed Windows 7 64-bit. When I use the recovery disk and it loaded the files etc it evokes just a black screen and the cursor.

  Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
  I tried to start my computer acer laptop from the recovery disk and it worked fine.

  As is - this does anyone have suggestions as to why I get the message "disk read error - press ctrl, alt and delete to restart?
