• Satellite P500 - cannot increase the brightness of the screen

  I have a new Satellite P500.

  The problem I have is that if I have the power shut off for several hours I lose the ability to increase the brightness of the screen. I can get increased brightness to level 4 and when I increase level 8 the brightness down. If I go down, the screen goes black. The only solution I found is to turn off the power, remove the battery, put it back in and power on.

• Delay on the 'Starting Windows' screen

  The problem I have is this, whenever I start my PC there is a delay on the 'Starting Windows' screen. The screen does not freeze or anything just ten minutes to bring up the Log In screen. It's the only time where that the PC is delayed, it has no effect on the operation of the PC. I uninstalled my anti virus and that does make a difference and I have made sure all drivers are up to date. Anyone have any suggestions?

  I looked in the debugging using the iOS Simulator. The problem causing my problem was not supported for encoding. I used ISO-8859-15. Changed to UTF - 8.

  I have buyed a Satellite P30-130 (PSP30E-20E019IT) about 4 years ago.
  2 months next to the date when I bought the laptop, I saw a blue screen in the start menu upwards or in the first five minutes that the operating system starts.

  Bluescreens can have different reasons so it s is not easy what causes this problem. Normally, Bluescreen related to drivers or a faulty hardware (RAM or HARD drive).

  But have you tried an external monitor now? Maybe the internal monitor is defective if you get a black screen.
  Check it!

  I have a Toshiba Satellite U400-217 (PSU44E) running Windows 8.

  Worked fine until a week ago. Now, when I turn it on, the lights are, there is a memory hard drive spin (1 second) - and then nothing. Above the keyboard lights stay on, but the screen remains black.

  I read a use Reset where you take the battery and the power cable on and press and hold power for 30 seconds, then plug the power cable in, starting at the top, stop, reinsert the battery and start again.

  However, the machine still primer not after 30 seconds the hold button. I always get just the lights and nothing else.

  However, the machine will start usually fine on an attempt to out all 30 or more.

  It's boring - ideas or suggestions very welcome.

  In my opinion, you should first check the HARD drive
  A friend of mine installed Win 8 on the new computer laptop from another manufacturer

  What happens if you press F8 immediately after the laptop has been power up?
  You can see the Advanced Boot Menu?

  If so, then try option called last known good configuration.
  If this does not help try you safe mode.

  Your comparison of different systems and not being is not specific about the other tested machine.  It is like comparing a Citroën with a Renault. (Could not stop myself, realizing your in CS).  The HPE 500cs, as you say, is Legacy BIOS.  The new GTX 1060 is UEFI and would not work in the HPE without a hybrid BIOS from the manufacturer of the card.

  I m using Nero and in my opinion one of the apps better combustion.
  Here, I can choose between CD, DVD, DL or Blueray (only possible if the CD/DVD drive also supports this).

  Have you also checked diffΘrents CDs from different manufacturers?
  You should do this since not all disks are 100% compatible.
  I had several problems with different CD or DVD in most of the cases it was a compatibility issue, I tried TDK and this kind of drive is compatible with my CD/DVD drive

  AFAIK this Smart Audio program has something to do with the driver audio or let's say s a part of it. So in your case, I recommend reinstalling the audio driver.
