Satellite P50t-B-104:-WiFi doesen't work well

My new Satellite P50T-B-104 has an Intel dual-band wireless-3160 AC adapter.
Free Wi - Fi and Bluetooth is supported by this map.
Bluetooth works well.

On the side of the Wi - Fi connection, there is no network connection, good list in our neighborhood area, there are a lot of private networks.

So first I've updated the adapter (now the driver 17.0.5.8 from the homepage of Intel) but nothing does not change.
Then I tested it with my smartphone as a Hotspot Wi - Fi mobile. Only, I get a Wi - Fi signal, if the sender of a Wi - Fi connection is direct (maximum 10 cm) near the laptop.

It is more an NFC as a Wi - Fi feature.
If I placed the Wi - Fi router on the keyboard of the laptop Wi - Fi works well.

I guess that the Wi - Fi antenna has a failure or a controller exists to set the sensitivity of a Wi - Fi connection?

Hello

To be honest, I can't imagine that there is a problem with the WLAN antenna in your notebook.
Have you checked all the WLAN settings on your laptop and compared with the settings of the WLAN router?

As I see that you have already improved driver with the latest version of the Intel page.
Is there a difference when you test it with and without power supply?

I ve checked this forum about problems with the Satellite P50T and of course, you're one with such a problem.
Maybe you should also contact the Toshiba service and ask for help. It will be interesting to know what they will say on the subject.

I just bought a Satellite L850-13 q and my WiFi doesen't work. Win 7 64 bit and I installed the Atheros driver because this system, but he said, there is no aviable connection, but my old computer is a good number of them.

I turn it on with the FN + F12 keys, and the orange led is light. What can I do?

    Hello

    Did you mean right turn?
There are three LEDs on the front of the laptop.
The last (first from right) is an indicator of WLan.
If it is enabled, the WiFi network must be enabled.

    The laptop s WLan supports 802.11 b, g and n standard.
Your WLan router is set to b/g or n?

I think you should also try to reconfigure the wireless network.
Go to the Control Panel-> Network & Sharing center
On the left, choose Manager of wireless networks
Now click on add and configure the new WLan.

Ensure that you have typed the right SSID (name of the wlan), the encryption and password encryption

  • Satellite P50T-A-119 - screen does not work and recovery never ends

    Hello

    I have a Satellite P50t-A-119
The built-in screen no longer works:

The Toshiba leading innovation splash screen * never * appears on the * built-in screen *.

On a * connected external VGA-display * I see the following type of screens (if the machine was forced to stop, it can detect before if connected externally powered, another screen image any at all):
    -BIOS (after F2)
    -Boot (after F12)
-all screens simple to begin repairs (with a blue background).

I already tried all possible types of recovery (the recovery on the HARD drive partition, with 3 sets of recovery DVD), repair, refresh, never successful auto repair.

When I start a recovery from DVD (with the external screen), it wonder in order all DVD, copy the files, etc., request to restart the computer. Then after the Toshiba, Leading innovation splash screen appeared and shot a little, I * don't have an external display black-lightning *.
When I start a recovery from the HARD disk, the Toshiba leading innovation appears and for a long time increases %-complete. After a while (every 45 minutes approximately at 60%), I have the same situation: only an external black lightning.

This situation is already after I sent the machine (with the same symptoms) to Toshiba service center. They have reinstalled the recovery image (which I think was still okay) and charged me the equivalent of EUR 100, saying: there is no guarantee. When I got the machine I could actually begin as out of the box, after the updates first 83 (initiated by the preconfigured McAfee) and 2 reboots of the laptop is already more (hangs up, without the screen, etc.).

    So my questions:
-make anyone had similar problems? And a solution ;-)
-Doesn't he know about the procedures used by the service center to reinstall the recovery image (I'd like to be sure that it s warranty/defective material before I send it again)?
-A way to check the material?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Sorry to hear that you have all these problems with your laptop.
At first, I must say that I've never had such a problem and can not say with certainty what can be wrong there.

In my opinion, the main problem is the screen. It's OK that you try to use the external screen and try to solve this problem, but I think that recovery image installation is not solution for this. You wrote that your machine has been already verified by Toshiba service but I n t understand what was the problem with the display. Is everything is OK with the screen now or not?

    Back to the recovery image:
This is a user forum, and I think that no one here will be able to explain the policy of service exact Toshiba but, in my opinion, if you have long guaranteed valid, service provider is required to help you without taking any money except in special situations such as the removal of the BIOS password. So I don't understand why they took 100 euros for the recovery image installation.

I think you should contact the new service and explain the situation. Do some photos as proof of what exactly happens and tell them you want to have good rework the device. You paid for the new product, you have the guarantee and book must work. If there is problem, service should make the diagnosis, what is the problem and fix it.

Later when get back, creating you recovery media first. It can be DVD or USB. After having done this disabling automatic Windows update and when you will be informed about updates check the list and install important updates only. Do not install updates such display or WLAN driver.

Sorry, but I can't say much.

  • Satellite Pro L100 (PSL15E) - WIFI does not work

I have just reformatted my laptop, reinsalled all good original disk drivers, wireless LAN worked until I upgraded to SP3 and now it does not connect.
It will only connect if I plug the cable, RG45

    Any ideas?

    Hello!

After the SP3 update, have you checked the Device Manager If WLAN card is recognized correctly? If this is not the case, this!

In addition, I would recommend updating the driver WLAN. Maybe you have an older version of the driver that isn t working properly with SP3.
Here you can download new WLAN drivers: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/

In the worst cases you must downgrade to SP2. A friend had me also some problems with SP3 and after downgrade to SP2 it worked well again.

    Good bye

  • Satellite Pro A200-1OM - Wifi does not work in Windows 7

    Hello

I installed Windows 7 on my Satellite Pro A200-1OM.
I have updated all the drivers to the latest version.

But I can't use my WLAN adapter more.
He always says that there are no networks available, but my access point is standing next to my laptop and on my other laptop, I can see it.

My wifi adapter is turned on.

    Miet

    Hello

You don't see any or another WLan in your environment?

Are you sure that the WiFi is enabled on your laptop computer at 100%?
Please note that you need to move the material WLan switch and the LED should be on. In addition, you will need to activate the WLan using FN key combination + F8 performs this work!

  • Satellite A500-17 x - wifi does not work - not found in Device Manager

    Hi people,

    I need help please.

My wireless adapter does not work.
It worked perfectly until I connected to a wired connection in a hotel I was staying in and since then I can not connect to my wireless router.

I tried restoring the tosystem several times to old dates, but it has not solved the problem. When I restart the computer laptop and go into devices and printers, I thought that the computer needs to be troubleshooted.

The program runs and try to install the driver for the Wlan but returns with errors. Namely, windows could not load the driver or can verify the digital signature.

There is also no icon in the network for lan wlan connections only. When I use the radar in connectivity doctor tells me that the WiFi network is disabled but I can't understand how to activate it.

When I start in safe mode and go to Device Manager I see the wireless network adapter, but when I try to install the driver I leave safe mode and restart. I did and then the WiFi network is displayed in the Device Manager but when I try to load the driver, I thought that the driver is updated and then the adapter disappears from the Device Manager.

I'm so frustrated at this point and I'm very close to a full erase and start over.

I also tried to reload and load the default configuration settings in the installation program, but didn't make any difference.

    My laptop is a Satellite A500-17 x with windows 7 64 bit.
The WiFi network is Realtek RTL8192E Wireless Lan 802.11 PCI - ENIC

    Hello

Go to BIOS (press F2) and set it to default settings.
Save the changes and restart the device.
Then try to reinstall the WLan driver again.

If that does not help, download the most recent and updated BIOS to BIOS first day.
Then, restart the device and try reinstalling the Wlan driver.

Last but not least you could test the WLan feature on laptop running with factory settings current (after using the Toshiba Recovery)

PS: in order to use the WiFi network you must use the FN + F8 key combination and must turn on the WLan (in front of the laptop) switch to position.

  • Satellite P50T-B - speed WiFi problems

So recently I bought this computer from future shop.
It has the Intel Dual Band Wireless AC-3160 inside.
I normally play with it, for example (LoL).

Wifi works but the problem is that when I'm really close comes as 21 Mbps.

But when I go upstairs to my room it drops to 8-10Mbps.
I tried my old laptop and macbook the bot to move 18-20 Mbit/s.

Please help me understand the issue here.
I also can I return this either because its been more than 14 days.

Obviously the speed WLan slowdowns because of the weakness of the WLan signal.

Have you noticed this issue in the context of the power adapter (using the grid) or simply using the battery?

To my knowledge this Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 supports the modes of energy during periods of activity and inactivity to improve the battery life. Maybe you should check this energy saving options and disable this for improving WLan performance.

This wireless network card of new generation support two new WLan 802.11 standards also and C 802.11
This standard provides considerably faster (up to 433 Mbit/S1) than 802.11n Wi - Fi connection speeds
Of course, this requires the compatible WLan router.

If your router does not support the C 802.11 standard, then you will be able to use the standard 802.11 only which is much slower.

  • Satellite M70-181: the wifi does not work

    Hello

I'm in New Zealand at the moment and a fortnight ago, I changed my bios password but forgot it. To solve this problem I send the laptop to Toshiba in Christchurch and they reset for me. But since that day my wireless does not work. When I turn it on not even the light. Is not in one of the normal places (like in the network environment or how ever you call it).
Would it be a problem with the hardware, and it is easy to fix by cause me I didn't have the waiting time until they do it again in Christchurch.

    Thanks for all the answers

They could have damaged antenna card wifi inside your computer. If you have technical skills, you can fix it yourself, but if you don't just send the laptop back and let check them again.

  • Satellite C660 - 10 d - Wifi don't work if the PC is not plugged into the mains

    Hello!

My pc is not connected to the internet if is not plugged in the light.
Can someone tell me what's in it?

    Thanks :)

    Hello

What model mobile exact you have?

You can improve management of power supply for the WLan settings!
If that doesn't work, update the Wlan driver too!

  • Satellite Pro P300-1FQ - wifi does not work properly

Win Xp installed, the wireless guard stop and start.
I've read the threads and I need to make a Bios Update.
Click on the link to download it, but get a blank page.

Is there another place I can get it?

First of all, I would like to try other workarounds first before trying to update the BIOS.

I recommend updating the driver WLan first!
The laptop seems to be to use the Atheros WLan card.
You can download the driver Atheros here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/?page=downloads

In addition, you must turn off the WLan to save energy.
This can be done in power management Win 7!

Then go to Device Manager-> card WLan-> properties-> Advanced tab
Here, you can check the different settings and change is necessary.

Last but not least the BIOS can be downloaded from page European driver Toshiba and download functions because I could download the latest version of the BIOS

  • Satellite A355D - Vista 64 bit does not work well

    After a very careful review, I came to the conclusion that this 64-bit system s u c k s.

At this point, I am so tired of the BSOD with all the codes that are known there. It seems to point to the ATI 3100 drivers. I've updated them to the most recent and so far this machine is around the age of two months and have reinstalled Vista 64 twice and had the rear machine to have the DVD and hard drives replaced.

Sheesh I have never had so many problems with a machine to 32 years. Not even with each other.

Has someone already installed Vista Ultimate 32 bit on an A355D?

    Hello!

Your laptop came with Vista 64 bit OS?
To be honest, I use Vista 64 bit on my second Toshiba laptop. It s a Satellite U400 and I never had any problems with it. I've never had a problem.
I installed Vista 64 bit myself and after that, I downloaded and installed all the drivers Toshiba and the tools I founded on the Toshiba site. All that s!

Normally, Vista 32-bit and 64-bit should work without problem. On the Toshiba site, I can find all the drivers and tools for both BONES.
    Check it!

    Good bye

  • WiFi does not work well or at all after recent update

We bought a Dell Inspiron all-in - one 23 "5348 Windows 8.1. Upgrade to Windows 10 with help on this forum. All right. It was fine until a recent Windows Update or maybe it was an update of the driver. WiFi is now a real problem. Have to restart several times to get it to work and when it does it is very slow. How to get back to the previous driver? It works beautifully. Or would it be the right thing to do?

I connected a network cable in my modem and I use that for now.

Thanks for all the updates. You can try this driver for your card here: http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER03748274M/1/Network_Driver_3F0RX_WN32_10.0.0.341_A05.EXE I know that this may be an ex for Windows 10 but I would like to see if it changes anything (so you may have to force it to install). Also can you send me a private Message (do not post here) with your serial number?

On a side note depending on the speed of fiber that may be available in your area (if you do not upgrade), you might want to consider looking at a replacement card which has 5 ghz and is capable of that. With this card, it would be limited to how fast your connection would be since this card is only capable of 2.4 ghz and does not support AC. 5 ghz has a shorter range, but it would make a big improvement vs. 2.4 ghz.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Best regards

    Brad

  • Satellite A200 cannot see wifi

    Hello
I have a strange problem, up to what my wifi has now works well, but today, I don't know why my laptop can't see the wireless networks, as if the antenna was turn off. Of course, it's on, I see an orange light that reported that. I try to reinstall the drivers, but it did not help.
    LAN works.
    My computer: Satellite A200 1 M 4, Windows XP Professsional SP 2

First of all, you should check if the wireless network adapter is still recognized in the Device Manager.
If so,->, you can always try to remove and update the WLan driver.
In addition, reset the WLan router. The reset of the router is necessary and especially it solves some problems with strange connectivity.
Last but not least use the FN + F8 key combination to activate the WLan antenna

  • Dual channel mode is not enabled on the Satellite P50T-B-10V

    Hello

I recently bought a laptop by Satellite P50T-B-10V.

Everything works fine, but I saw in the software helped that it s not activated for 1The memory channel mode, although the chipset support this mode.

How can I solucionate what mind?

    + Memoria driver +.
    + Type Dual Channel (128-bit).
    + Modo Activo single channel (64-bit) +.

I hope that your answers! Thank you!

Dual channel mode can be activated manually.
Mode dual channel will be activated and used automatically if all of the requirements be fulfilled.

    What does that mean?
Well, to use the two channels, you need two memory modules and both modules need to support dual channel.

The Satellite P50T-B-10V seems to be equipped with a module of 8 GB RAM
    http://www.Toshiba.PT/laptops/satellite/satellite-P50-b/satellite-P50-b-10V/

This is why the double channel does not appear to be used.

  • HP 15 laptop: wifi does not work windows 8.1

I have Windows installed pro 8.1. I was using wifi on this laptop, it worked fine. However, recently, I see that the Wifi does not work although he shows me the SSID of my network I used to use and also the SSID of the networks of neighbors. (It means that the wifi on laptop chip is capable of scanning the wifi signals and so it works). The same router from which all other Mobile tablets, my home laptop work are able to connect to the wifi network. Only on this laptop I am facing this problem. What may be a solution or what I should try. I tried the steps listed here http://www.fixedbyvonnie.com/2013/10/how-to-fix-limited-or-no-connectivity-wi-fi-issues-in-windows-8...

Although I have not changed the default settings only steps above on blog, I tried to solve the problem. However, it did not work. Also keys function + F12 on laptop has no effect. The light on the F12 key is always on. However, it is possible to toggle the wifi in the bar of Windows 8.1 charms.

    What should I check?

I bought an external USB wifi device that solved the problem.  The card wifi on laptop works well, but for some unknown reason, he is not able to connect to home wifi router. http://www.snapdeal.com/product/leoxsys-150-Mbps-Nano-WiFi/1179610?utm_source=earth_feed&utm_campaign=TopPerformersPLAScaling3000&utm_medium=CPC&utm_content=1179610&utm_term=, & campaignid = 350311165 & 28373951005 = adgroupid & adposition = 1o1 & network = g & device = c & targetid = pla-55251503741
