Satellite P750-02J - don't close or into hibernation

OK, so I bought a P750/02J Satellite a little over a week ago and from the beginning, I've had to stop. It goes through the process of closing as usual, but once it reaches the blue 'close' screen freezes and it may stay that way for hours (even at night).

Also it wont got into hibernate properly either. Once I click on the Hibernate button, it seems to work and the screen goes black, but that's all that happens. The fan still works, the lights are still on and the keyboard is always sensitive.

It seems to be fine so I havnt been using all programs but if I previously had nothing to open, even if it has been completed correctly it doesn't turn off or standby extended as it should.

Any ideas on why this is happening and how to fix it?

Hi Avery8,

May I ask what operating system you are using and the version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba?

The reason is that some background programs may block the closure process so at the moment, I doubt it's hardware related issue. Interesting to know would do it if the same thing happens with factory settings (installation of recovery).

Have connect you external devices expect AC adapter? If Yes, remove them and try again.

  • Satellite P750 - Wireless disconnects when wake the portable computer from the 'standby mode '.

    Hey

Today, my Toshiba Satellite P750 (running Windows 7) has been disconnected from my wireless network when I wake from sleep mode. When I close the lid of my laptop, it goes automatically into mode 'sleep', and when I open it, I put my user password and use it as usual. However for some reason any today, it does not work.

When I wake up, it recognizes my wireless network is available, however, cannot connect to it. When I solve the problem, it indicates that there is a problem with my router and I should turn it off, wait at least 10 seconds and then turn it back on. I tried this and it works fine, but my laptop has never done that (in the few weeks I got it) and I wouldn't constantly reset my router to use Internet. In addition, I have another laptop at home that works very well.

Should be really this issue be resolved quickly as I have exams this week.

    See you soon

    Hello

Maybe there is a problem affecting the IP automatically once the laptop has been in sleep mode. It could also be another reason for it but it of always difficult to say which could affect wireless networking

I think you should try to update the Wlan driver.

Don't know exactly what you have but here the card Wlan, you can find all the latest WLan drivers available for Toshiba laptops:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

Uninstall the old drivers first, after new reboot install new drivers downloaded for the wireless network card that is built in Notepad.

  • Can I use the Qosmio recovery discs to recover the Satellite P750?

I have a Satellite P750 with an irreparably damaged HARD disk and none of the recovery disks. I have a Qosmio X 770, I can make the recovery disks from.

Both machines were equipped with Windows 7 and the two license codes. Can I use recovery since the Qosmio discs to load on a new HARD drive into the P750?

I realize that the drivers may be different, but if I can get the P750 operation, I can then correct the drivers.

I don't want to pay $66 for Toshiba disks, as much as other manufacturers such as Dell don't charge $20.

    No, you can t.
The recovery image is a package.
It contains the Windows system, but also the drivers and tools.
This means that you must install drivers Qosmio on Satellite P and this would make for difficulties.

    Hi Uncochicken,

I think that Akuma is good and the problem seems to be the nVidia display driver because it s not pre-tested on your laptop and doesn t have an overheating protection. I advise to use the latest Toshiba display driver.

So uninstall the current display driver (Control Panel > uninstall) and uninstall the nVidia display driver. Now, reboot your system and install the latest version of the Toshiba display driver. Even after restart your computer, and the new display driver is installed correctly.

  • Re: Satellite P750 - function keys do not work

I use a Satellite P750. There is a row of 'Function buttons' between my keyboard and display. These buttons no longer work.

The biggest problem is that I can't activate my wireless. When my net cable is not plugged into the ether, it usually detects wireless network that I can connect to. now it does not detect a network. I know that it is not a problem with the wireless router. When troubleshooting the connection problem, he advises me to use the function key to activate wireless communication.

I tried to remove and reinstall the system driver added value, the cards flash utility support pilot, as well as my wireless network card driver. and the problem persists.

I also tried a system restore to a date where I know that these problems were not present. and this does not work either.

I would greatly appreciate help on this.

    Jason

    Hello Jason

In General, resettlement of VAP should help with this.
If this isn't the case, you can reinstall the OS using HARD drive recovery option. After doing this, you will have factory again and everything should work again.

This option isn't for you or you don t want to reinstall OS?
By the way: what operating system do you use?

  • Satellite P750 PSAY3A: Intel GPU switches do not to NVidia GT540M

    I have a Satellite P750 PSAY3A 0MQ001.
I can't make Gpu Intel HD 3000 to the Gpu Nvidia Gt540M via the NVidia Control Panel (switching Optimus is not do properly either).

I choose the settings to use the Nvidia card high performance for some programs, but do not use them, it goes the same for games. The strange thing is, if I install the latest Nvidia 301,42 drivers via a facility clean, said programs will use the NVidia card, if I restart the laptop, they use the card NVidia still once, until I re - install the NVidia drivers again.

I tried to install the latest drivers Intel HD 3000, but the system said their inconsistent and I must use the Intel from Toshiba driver (I am sure I have the latest downloaded correct drivers).

I did a factory restore today that having the same problem, the Nvidia card is not used even if it is enabled by default, until I have go through reinstalling driver routine.

I am at a loss to know what to do. I talked to Toshiba support on the phone I have the warranty, but I want to make sure it's a "hardware problem" not "Software", before sending it to the sea.

I saw a message somewhere in my "trip of suffocation of the parameters" that says something along the lines of my Intel GPU must be plugged into a housing PCI Express x 16 for maximum performance, I know that the NVidia card is via looking through the Information when setting up Bus system, it's PCI Express x 16 Gen2 Perhaps the two Gpu need to be plugged into the PCI Express connector to move seamlessly between the two (I couldn't find the Info Bus for the Gpu from Intel), if so, this maybe the fault of hardware. I haven't looked, I don't want to void my warranty, but if that were the case, I would be willing to send it to get it looked at by Toshiba.

Can someone please give me some advice on forcing Intel to switch to Nvidia, as it is supposed to without having to constantly re - install drivers NVidia Lol...

    > I tried to install the latest drivers Intel HD 3000 but the system said their inconsistent and I must use the Intel from Toshiba driver (I am sure I have the latest downloaded correct drivers).

Usually, you should be able to install the latest driver from Intel HD graphics card, but you must do so via Device Manager. You must choose the graphics card Intel and point to the folder of the Intel driver that you have downloaded from the Intel page manually.

  • Satellite P750-13N - problem switching between nVidia and Intel GPU

    Hello

I used my laptop Satellite P750 on its default settings because I brought and until now that has been very well.

I use it mainly for games and now some of the more recent games have a hard run Shading.
I used * www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri * and he told me that I should be able to run most of these games without any problem.

I checked my specs in dxdiag and noticed that it seems to be using the integrated graphics card Intel rather than the Nvidia Geforce GT540M map. I tried which helps the card in the Device Manager and disable the Intel graphics card, but the resolution has dropped drastically and dxdiag says there is now no graphics support found.

I did something wrong or do you think that there is a problem with the laptop?
Any help would be most welcome.

    Thank you

This can be done in the nvidia Control Panel.

+ 1. Click Start, then Control Panel. Select Classic view in the left side of the window. +

    + 2. Double-click NVIDIA Control Panel. +

+ 3. Click view, and then add the "Run with graphic processor" Option to the context Menu. Close the NVIDIA Control Panel. +

Try to extract the exe from another place, not in the temp folder.
In my case, I created a folder on a second partition (D) and have extracted the exe file in this folder. Can go to the Device Manager, and then can install the driver through the Device Manager.
Choose the installation procedure advantage and point to the folder that contains the extracted files.

    With regard to the issue of the BT;
Download the new battery of BT from here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/Bluetooth/

Then clean the registry using the CCleaner.
This tool is freeware and can be downloaded on several different pages.
So after cleaning check if you could install new BT of the register stack.

  • Satellite P750 - can I use HDD of Satellite P770?

    Hallo,

I have a Satellite P750-10 t and im looking for a new HARD drive but I don't know what HARD drive I can take.
I found a disk for Satellite P770-12 t and I need to know if I can take it HARD too.

There is not much difference between these drives, maybe just ability but you can use it on your Satellite P750. As far as I know both of them are hard drives with SATA connector.

By the way: If you need a new HARD drive maybe you should think about upgrading with SSD. I can recommend you to do. use of SSD will increase the performance of your laptop and your computer laptop wil run a lot faster.

If you have time to look for info on the SSD on http://storage.toshiba.eu/cms/en/index.html

  • Satellite P750-135 - key FN and Blu - Ray player does not

OK so recently I've noticed a few problems with my Satellite P750-135 with PSAY3E-059002EN part number.

Not words, the button FN done any work, however when the Toshiba flash card settings are configured to enable the mouse above, the functions that I would normally use, for example FN + ESC to mute or FN + F6 to turn down the brightness, etc., the works of service.

The problem has occurred since the drivers updated by a program on my PC but I can not restore the system to a point where the driver has been updated. I uninstalled the driver and installed the driver from Toshiba Web site and tried countless other things without success. Any help would be appreciated.

As for my second question, a while back I tried to play a Blu - Ray movie on my laptop and it works as it is. The drive plays DVD but when a Blu - Ray drive is inserted, the drive whirs, the AutoPlay window opens with no program to read it.

I have tried opening the Corel to play it, but it does not work.
The drive in question works on my One Xbox and Playstation 3, and I've tried other discs that don't work.

    Any suggestions?

ccYou know that's not easy to say what the problem is here. When you get new notebook with the settings everything works and all the pre-installed drivers, tools and utilities work well together.
Many people install some updates which are not so important, and then something can go in the wrong direction.
    > The problem has occurred for a program on my PC updated drivers...
To be honest I don't know what program do you have average and exactly what has been updated.
In any case you can try to solve this problem of FN keys is to remove preinstalled Toshiba value added package, restart your computer and install the latest version of the Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
Utility of flash cards is part of this package and I hope after installation of VAP own this will work properly again.

    Blu - Ray movie question:
BD BD to play drive before graphic driver will change color and switch to Win7 basic running drive Toshiba BD is not compatible with certain Visual elements. Have you noticed this in the past, this automatic switching between the color schemes?
Did you perhaps updated original display driver Toshiba?
    > I have tried opening the Corel to play it, but it does not work.
The very fact of start or not?
    This is a bit complicated.
