Satellite P750 - no ethernet cable connection
I have a Satellite P750 running on Windows 7.
When I plug the ethernet cable, I have no connection.
The same cable works fine on other PCs.
The network is set to obtain an IP address automatically. The network connection uses RealTek PCIe GBE family Controller and diagnostics say that this works normally.
I don't know what else to check or try to get this connection work.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Are you using the original operating system that you got with your laptop?
When you check the NIC in Device Manager is installed and registered properly card?
When you connect the LAN cable to the LAN port are yellow and light green assets?
I just loaded windows XP on my old tower. I have an ethernet cable connected to my modem, but I can't establish an internet connection.
You are welcome for the answer. You will need to use a cd/dvd drive or a removable media like a flash/USB device to transfer the file on the computer in question. You can download the LOM Broadcom 10/100 Ethernet controller driver from HERE.
I have a Satellite P750 (PSAY3A - 02L 001) that has a built-in TV tuner.
Whenever I plug the power adapter into the laptop, it creates interference on TV reception. Without the adapter is connected, the reception is very good. I also checked at the reception of the antenna with a decoder and it is the signal strength of 90 to 100%.
Help, please! Is this a faulty power supply? Or receiver defective tv? Or a driver/bios problem? Or just a bad design?
I noticed similar problems on the external monitor, but I have a laptop.
In the end the issues was grounded.
Here's a thread on a similar problem with an external display.
in this case, the AC adapter cable was defective
You should also test it could also be that you need a cable 2-pin, so the power adapter is connected to the Earth is no longer.
Have 2 pavilions and lost the ethernet connection, with cable, on one of them, yet have the wifi capability. When you attach the ethernet cable, the port light does not illuminate.
Currently using my second Pavilion, with the cable is connected, and the light on the port is light.
The problem would be with the connection/WiFi wireless card? This card Realtek manages cables and wireless?
Prefer to do my own repairs when possible, as labor costs are far too high for my budget.
Please use the forums.
Sounds to me like the port has been disconnected somehow, as it should be a combo wireless connection/WiFi card as you requested. You can check to make sure that the port is still connected properly, however it is likely that it will need to be replaced.
See you soon,.
New home, new line telephone (Virginmedia), new router - can connect via ethernet cable but not wireless... Diagnostics of Dell wireless WLAN card utility connections test returns 'internet ping IP = a failed' with the info box indicating "the router/AP wireless for your network works, but your computer is not able to use an IP address to connect to the Internet. You will not be able to connect to the Internet, although you might be able to connect to your local network. Contact your network administrator or the installer of the router/access point wireless to help"
Follow the steps in the link given below and check if that helps.
If the steps above does not help then I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the router in order to configure the router.
OK, I have wireless internet in my house but I don't have the adapter wireless for the Xbox 360. I watched a lot of youtube videos on how to implement a bridge so I can get on the Xbox live using my laptop. Basically, what I do is go in the network and sharing Center, and then on the left side of the screen, I hit 'Manage network connections'. I select the 'connection to the local network' (my ethernet cord that goes to my Xbox) and the "wireless network connection" and I right click and "bridge connections" it then creates the bridge. My Xbox is unfortunately still not able to connect the internet. When I type status it sews the 'connection to the Local network' is not receive data. Any help?HelloI suggest you try the steps from the article below and check if it helps.
First time poster. I have a netgear R8000 Nighthawk on my 2nd floor. I intend to use an ethernet cable connected to the R8000 and bring it downstairs in my living room. My question is, is - it possible to be able to connect the ethernet cable in the living room to another router and then connect up to 3 devices (apple computer, smart tv, tv) via ethernet cables? I prefer wired connections. I am aware that I can use as the EX7000 netgear router as access point, but other devices may only be connected wirelessly.
Any help would be appreciated
Thank you very much!
Then, when I plug in an ethernet cable (connected to a router), my wireless adapter turns off.
He immediately turns on when I unplug the ethernet cable.
It isn't really a problem, either connection will provide my needs of networking, but it's just weird and I don't like it.
Using Win7 Ultimate 64 bit.
advice would be appreciated.
This is the default setting to save the battery.
If you always want the wireless on, go into BIOS > Menu of device Configuration and activation to deactivate WLAN-LAN.
Hey everyone, I have problems with my Local network setting on my computer recognizing that there is an ethernet cable connected.
I run a Toshiba Satellite A210 with Windows Vista and a D-Link Wireless G router. The router is not the issue, because I ran each diagnosis than i've got, and I have a tough line of work running on another computer. The ethernet cable I use is too new out of the box.
When I plug my ethernet cable into the laptop, nothing lights up and it does not recognize it existing. The pilot, he points to what is a Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller and not its own driver ethernet. Is there a generic driver I can install that will recognize my ethernet port? Help!
The WiFi configuration runs on the router and the computer? Have you checked for a firmware
Update for the router? You have to check the router on other computers? Have you checked the
computer on all other routers? Tried another cable?
The material could be at fault. If nothing works, you can disable the NETWORK interface integrated into the BIOS
and/or the Manager of devices and use an out board NIC USB is not that expensive.
Try these methods:
Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.
Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
Download - SAVE - go where you put it - right click – RUN AS ADMIN.
You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.
After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The
manufacturer of system become your backup policies).
Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as Vista like
I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they
are almost always old, and you can search drivers manually as needed.

Check with Toshiba support, their drivers online (update or reinstall) and their forums

I hope this helps.
Rob Brown - MS MVP - Windows Desktop Experience: Bike - Mark Twain said it right.
My wife - who bought me an Airport Express 802.11n Wi - Fi for Christmas - was reassured in a certified store to which he would have a wireless connection to my existing wifi to stream spotify on my stereo, but I could not set up like that. According to Apple's Support, the Airport Express must be connected to a modem via an ethernet cable to work, which totally contradicts the advice she was given. This will not work for me - the stereo is in a completely different room for the modem.
Who is right?
I can't find clear indications on the web.
Thank you very much.
A "modem" , it's just that... a device that connects to the service of your Internet service provider to another router with a wireless Ethernet cable. "modem" does not any signal wireless... only an Ethernet signal.
A ' modem/router ' or the 'bridge' is a device that combines the functions of a modem and router wireless in one package. It provides a signal of wireless network for other wireless devices can connect to the Internet wirelessly. The modem/router or gateway also provides several Ethernet ports... usually 3 or 4... for devices to connect in this way as an option.
An AirPort Express can only connect to a modem using a wired Ethernet cable connection.
An AirPort Express can connect to a modem/router or Gateway using either a wired Ethernet connection or a wireless connection.
Who is right?
It all depends on if you have a modem... .or you have a modem/router, also called a gateway.
If you do not know what you... then post back with the number of brand and model of the device that you call your modem... and we will try to find what it is you have.
Can I use my Airport Express (802.11n Wi - Fi) to connect with an ethernet cable, a locus counter that is used with a solar panel inverter? Currently I use the hotspot to connect two different Mac computers and an Ipad. Sungevity, Setup, told me that the signal must go in a direction of my locus meter satellite modem. Sungevity also told me that if I can hard wire any device (such as a computer) directly from my Airport, I should also be able to do the same with the meter of locus. Has anyone tried this before?
North Country Boy
What is the AirPort Express you have?
As you test, turn off the WiFi on a computer and then connect the computer to the local network <-->port on the AirPort Express using an Ethernet cable to see if the computer can get a good connection Internet in this way?
If he CAN... and if the people of support for your solar panels have provided the correct information... then the meter will work.-->
Have had a new Satellite P750 for 2 weeks. Some intermittent problems, wireless modem connection - now no link at all. Connects to the modem with "limited activity" - so no internet. It connects ok with the modem cable. Have rebooted, checked the driver updates. No idea what to do to solve this problem. My first Toshiba and I'm really not happy I lost my money!
> now no link at all. Connects to the modem with "limited activity".
This confusion of s. At the moment you have no connection or limited? Both is not possible ;)
I recommend an update of the WLAN driver and you can download the latest driver WLAN here:
Also, make sure that MAC address is not blocked in router and update the firmware on your router.
I just bought a Toshiba Satellite A300 today, and I just plugged my ethernet cable is plugged into my normal PC, but it seems to be stuck.
Is there an ethernet cable special that you use with a laptop computer or a problem with my jack?
If someone could let me know that would be great.
see you soon
You connect the laptop with the PC directly? For this you need a crossover cable.
Otherwise, you n t need a cable special network to the laptop. Laptop computer S uses the same network as PC cable s.
What problem do you have exactly? Do you have a connection?
I am trying to connect a Satellite P750 with Windows 7 to a TV via HDMI and have had no success.
I tried without success to the following:
1. I chose F5 function to extend the desktop with desktop + HDMI, but also just HDMI only
2. I tried the windows P for the use of projector function
3. I tried different TV including Panasonic and Sony Bravia
4. I tried another HDMI cable, I use my Xbox with
5. in the devices section, I can see the TV is added and tried to change the settings, without success
6. when I looked online for a solution, a solution was to download HMDI Control manager.
7. After installing it and when I tried to use it, I got the pop-up message "using the HDMI control, you must activate it.
So I was wondering if the HDMI port is not properly enabled. According to me, he works one way or another, otherwise the computer would not be able to detect the TV when connected.
Can you please offer any assistance?
> 1. I chose the F5 function to extend the desktop with desktop + HDMI, but also just HDMI only
And what exactly happens if you press Fn + F5?
You see the Toshiba Flash Cards appearing at the top of the screen menu while pressing FN + F5?
Please note that the output screen must be changed before you start to play a video.
Right channel/HDMI port is chosen in the settings of your TV?
I need to connet to my iPad, a digital mixing console THE Behringer X Air xr18.
LLA WiFi connection e/s is not overall durin live so I need to use the Ethernet cable.
You can not unless someone makes a dongle, but even in this case an application had to talk with the dongle do not believe that a dongle could add something like kernel as a new network interface which could access normal applications
