Satellite P770-109 not always start

I got a P770-109 for a few months and it's a great laptop, but in recent weeks, there seems to be an intermittent problem with it starts not, almost as if the switch does not record the pressure of my finger.

Has anyone encountered this?
Is this a known issue on these machines?

To be honest, I've ever read on this subject or a similar question on Sat P770 in this forum.
Does this happen with adapter connected and disconnected?

I think one big problem is that it of not possible to reproduce this question of law?
Sometimes it happens and once the laptop can power up properly

Well, maybe a technician may run diagnostic tests to get more info on the question

    Hello

Is it happens when the laptop works only with the battery or is connected to the adapter?

It is really hard to say what might be wrong or why it's happening.
I can only speculate on the dysfunction that maybe there is a problem with the electronic power supply on the motherboard.

Hello Adriana.  I think what you see is the function of self-study to the rhythm of the Table of contents.  Open your table of contents (project > Table of contents), then make sure that you are on the table of Contents tab, and then click the settings button.  See if the Auto checkbox in the learning pace is selected.  Uncheck if it is.

  • Satellite U400 will not usually start upward

    Hi all

    I have a Toshiba Satellite U400-217 (PSU44E) running Windows 8.

Worked fine until a week ago. Now, when I turn it on, the lights are, there is a memory hard drive spin (1 second) - and then nothing. Above the keyboard lights stay on, but the screen remains black.

I read a use Reset where you take the battery and the power cable on and press and hold power for 30 seconds, then plug the power cable in, starting at the top, stop, reinsert the battery and start again.

However, the machine still primer not after 30 seconds the hold button. I always get just the lights and nothing else.

However, the machine will start usually fine on an attempt to out all 30 or more.

It's boring - ideas or suggestions very welcome.

    Thank you very much

    > However, the machine will start usually fine on an attempt to out every 30 or more.

In my opinion, you should first check the HARD drive
A friend of mine installed Win 8 on the new computer laptop from another manufacturer
After a while that the laptop will not start I thought its something wrong with the card mother, but in the end it was just a HARD drive failure

To be honest I n don't know if his only problem disk HARD but in my opinion, the HARD drive is one of the first pieces that need to be checked
OK, in the worst case, it could be possible that dysfunction of this mobo.

  • Satellite L300 - does not successfully start Vista

I have a Toshiba Satellite L300 when I boot it it goes directly to the Boot Manager screen where I have to start it manually. Once it starts it does not work correctly until I click on the Quick Launch button to stop scrolling up and down line.

I have a full recovery of the system twice, but I'm still having the same problem.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

To be honest I don t understand what you mean exactly
What happens if you press F8 immediately after the laptop has been power up?
You can see the Advanced Boot Menu?

If so, then try option called last known good configuration.
If this does not help try you safe mode.

  • Satellite P500 is not the start - stop screen Toshiba

    Hey everybody,

I spent hours scouring the Internet to see if anyone has had a similar problem and I found nothing.

When I turn on my laptop, I hear the fan starts and the screen on the Toshiba load screen startup - and stays there.

I tried a drain of power and trying to bring up a menu with F8, but none worked.

Because I have heard the usual hard disk, I suppose that there is a problem with the HD. Can anyone suggest what to try? If the hard drive went out I do not know if a USB or a system restore disc would work. I also read that I could try to remove the RAM, but I don't know how that could help.

I bought my computer in the USA but lives in France now, referring to the USA for repair would be very expensive. I also left my warranty info and recovery disc in the USA like crazy. I'll be back for the holidays, but it's a long time to go without my computer!

Any ideas would be very appreciated.

    See you soon,.

    > When I turn on my laptop, I hear the fan starts and the screen on the Toshiba load screen startup - and stays there.

Looks to me the POST (power on self) test cannot be spent properly and that means above all then an error has been detected on the motherboard
So it looks like a serious hardware problem :(

  • Vista does not always start cleanly

I'm trying to help my friend to a problem with his Dell Inspiron 530 computer.  The computer running all day but she she stops during the night.  After a series of updates, the computer would need a "repair" or restore.  Repair worked. The interesting thing here is that sometimes the system starts properly and other times it's not.  When I went to check, it starts perfectly every time. She's frustrated.  I love Vista and have had similar problems on my computer laptop but resolved.  Any ideas? I tried to compare the information of updating my laptop on his desk but my laptop is older than 3 months and I didn't have time to check each number.
    Thank you

    Hi azcoop33,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forums.

Be you please perform a clean boot on your system to see if that helps to clear up the problem that you are experiencing?

Here are the steps on how to perform a clean boot on your system:

    1. sign your computer with an administrator account.

    2. click on start.

    3. type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.

    4. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    5. in the general tab, click Selective startup, and then click to clear the check box load startup items.

    6. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.

    * NOTE: Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.

    7. click OK and then click on restart.

Second step: enable half the services

    1. start the System Configuration utility. Refer to the steps above if you need to see how to do this.

    2. click on the Services tab and then click to select the skin all the Microsoft services checkbox.

3 click to select half of the check boxes in the Service list.

    4. click OK and then click on restart.

Step 3: determine whether the problem returns

If the problem persists, repeat the first stage and the second stage. In step 2, click to clear half of the check boxes that you have initially enabled in the Service list.

If the problem does not occur, repeat the first stage and the second stage. In the second step, select only half of the remaining check boxes that are cleared in the Service list. Repeat these steps until you have selected all the check boxes.

If only one service is selected in the list of services, and you the problem persists, the service selected the cause of the problem. Go to sixth step. If no service is causing this problem, go to step 4.

Step 4: enable half of the startup items

Perform a clean boot by repeating step 1.

Click the Startup tab, and then click to select half of the check boxes in the startup item list.

Click OK and then click on restart.

Step 5: determine whether the problem returns

If the problem persists, repeat the first step and the fourth step. In step 4, click to clear half of the check boxes that you have originally selected in the startup item list.

If the problem does not occur, repeat the first step and the fourth step. In the fourth step, select only half of the remaining check boxes that are cleared in the startup item list. Repeat these steps until you have selected all the check boxes.

If only one startup item is selected in the startup item list, and you still experience the problem, start selected in the list element is the service that is causing the problem. Go to sixth step.

If no startup item causes this problem, a Microsoft service most likely the cause of the problem. To determine which Microsoft service may be causing the problem, repeat the first stage and the second stage without selecting the skin all the box Microsoft services at every step.

    Step 6: resolve the problem

After you determine the startup item or the service that is causing the problem, contact the manufacturer of the program to determine if the problem can be solved. Or, run the System Configuration utility, and then click to clear the check box of the element of the problem.

    Step 7: solve the problem

    5. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    Hiya,

When I connect via VGA External monitors (I tried various ones, Samsung, Dell, Iiyama) on my C660D-124, it may have problems switching to them. In general what's happening, it of happening very well for about 5 seconds, then returns to the LCD screen. Anyone know what is happening and how I can fix this problem?

What is original OS preinstalled on your laptop (factory settings)?
You use the key combination FN + F5 to switch between LCD and external monitor?

  • Satellite L does not start correctly

My laptop sometimes has problems to start.

I opened the laptop & it tries to start, but the "num lock" and "caps lock" LED (green) lights remain lit. If the laptop starts properly, the light turn on for a very short time and switch immediately.

It does not always, but often and it is quite annoying. The best way to solve it is to remove the battery and insert it again (soft reset)? But since that requires a screwdriver. But this should not be necessary to start my laptop.

    How can I solve this?

The only thing I've tried so far is reset to the factory settings power options. That did not help.

I have the same problem, a solution please?

Normally, if you connect the laptop AC adapter shouldn't t stop. Everything should work correctly as the system even starts the battery would be defective.

So, I think you already wrote that the motherboard is faulty. In this case I recommend to contact an authorized service provider. Technicians can order a new mainboard and Exchange! :)
