  I have a Satellite P775 program-112 that was previously under Windows 7.
  This weekend I have upgraded to Windows 8 Pro RTM.

  I also tried to plug a player of DVD USB of my laptop - it failed with the same status of the device in Device Manager. This suggests the problem is not specific to my hardware DVD.

  Don't have no real experience with Win 8 but from my point of view, it's a Windows system problem that also appears on an another old Windows systems.

  The ODD driver is part of the Windows system (any Windows) so you would not be able to download and install a separate driver.
  I had a similar problem with my old Win Vista laptop.
  Could solve this problem by removing the CD/DVD drive in Device Manager
  I restarted the laptop and the system could install the STRANGE once again without any yellow exclamation point

  I think that the 2nd HARD drive is not possible, but check if the second HARD drive bay contains the HARD drive connector if the connectors are not available, then the motherboard doesn't support 2nd HARD drive.

  I am the new owner of a Satellite A100 laptop that has a little problem.

  When the laptop goes into mode and the monitor shutsdown, energy saving when I turn on the computer again, I always get an error message will appear in the system tray. The message says: peripheral USB A "Power surge on Hub Port" exceeded the limits of its hub port power. To solve the problem, click this message.

  First of all, I have 4 USB ports, but NONE of them are used. There's nothing attached to the laptop at all.
  Secondly, when I click on the box, I get 5 unknown USB devices shown with the yellow question mark next to them in the list and 3 unused ports, which seem to be ok, with no yellow question mark.

  Why is happening, with no device attached, or even installed on the laptop.

  Wait a moment Denny. If I understand you correctly, you have just problem with Blu - Ray player installation, right?
  I assume that the optical disk drive is running OK and can read CDs or DVDs.

  Can you please tell us what you are trying to install exactly (version number)?

  Maybe you should remove preinstalled BD player, registry clean and try to reinstall this version.

  You can get this error because of things:

  1. The Visual C++ library runtime components are missing. (You should of reinstalled after remove them because this software requires their)
  2. A problem with this software, it is possible a conflict with another software.

  If the problem is caused by #1, you can reinstall the latest version of the Visual C++ Library Runtime components and see if it solves the problem, but I do not know what version of the redistributable software requires.

  I downloaded the latest update of the Bios for the computer laptop afforementioned, and it is not allowing me to update. It says that I need to make sure that: Bios is not later than 210 (mine is 1.80), AC is connected (it is), and that the battery is greater than 10% fee (mine is 100%).

  I have tried everything I can think (update running as administrator, reset the bios by default, removing all power from the laptop for half an hour etc.) and I still get this error message?

  Does anyone else have this problem?

  Hello! I'm stuck installing the software/drivers for my printer.

  I bought a new computer and everything worked fine until I tried to install the printer. I get this error message, and I can't move, so I can't use the printer

  It's strange and I don't think it's really a problem of USB, I have many more devices connected via USB and printer is the only one that gives problems. I also tried to plug it into all possible USB of my motherboard without result.

  I also downloaded the drivers up-to-date for my motherboard, I've even updated the BIOS to the latest version, without result.

  I can see the printer detected from the control panel of configuration/printers, but he said to the drivers installed.

  Click the Start button and type folder in the search bar, then open the Temp folder indicated.
  
  Open the last HP installation folder that begins with 7z (e.g. 7zs1234)
  Open the installation folder.
  Find the file usbready.exe and rename it to usbready.old.exe
  Navigate to the main extraction folder (folders that begins with 7z) and run the Setup.exe file.
  
  Now follow the installation and check for the difference.

  I bought my Toshiba laptop at the beginning of October 2011, so it can be called to a 'new' laptop.
  It's a Satellite P770.

  I took the 30 day trial free McAfee immediately after purchase and have not renewed since. After the purchase, I had also installed Ad-Aware, Spybot S & D and AVG to take care of the protection on a daily basis. Everything worked well until earlier this week, when it asked me to update my Ad-Aware to the latest version, and since the computer was slow morbid, each program invariably always end up with "is not responding.

  My browser (Google Chrome) gets as much as my homepage, but I can't connect to any site. I tried to uninstall Ad-Aware (I thought that this must be the problem), but it won't let me. I've heard about the incompatibility of some anti virus McAfee, this could be one of them?

  If there is incompatibility between Ad-Aware and McAfee, surely it does not explain the painful speed of my laptop and its lack of reaction. This is something I can only imagine is a virus.

  Could I please have a help on this?

  My warranty would cover such a problem if I returned my Toshiba Toshiba for that particular difficulty?

  Of way General Toshiba has nothing to do with your problem. If you use the combination of different applications and now, you are not happy with the computers portable performance contact software manufacturers and their management of aid.

  What everyone here can say, and even you will hear from Toshiba, is that you must reinstall the Toshiba recovery image and start using the laptop with factory again. I put t understand why do you use McAffe and AVG at the same time.

  Either use preinstalled McAffe or remove it from the system and install other applications antvirus. I recommend http://www.avira.com/en/index. I use it for years and she is really good antivirus application.
