  I would recommend that you follow the below given steps and check if this solves the problem.

  I suggest you to restart services of Norton in the list of services and set - the Norton on automatic.

• Satellite P850 - backlight does not work

  Hey,.
  I had this problem for a while - the backlight was always until the day I have no idea what happened and it turns on, I pressed Fn + z (as the keyboard backlight can be turned on and off by it - z is laced) and nothing... I held it and nothing happened.

  I checked and the Fn and z function but not together, I also noticed that the command keys locking keyboard would not work and I have to do it manually, a few other commands buttons do not work either.
  Do I have to take in faults or have I just messed with something? All my drivers and others are updated.

  You will find an option that allows you to use the function buttons in combination with and without the FN key.
  Also check if the keyboard backlight is enabled in the BIOS as well.

  I recently bought a Satellite P850 138 and loading up, I noticed that when that card said she had 640Go hard drive but mine is only showing the 570 GB and off that 540 GB available. on other computers laptop toshiba Ive got theres usually a partition, so I guess this must be why theres missing 100 GB.

  But when I chose to view all folders of that backup partition has not always shown. Is it a fault with the laptop or is the partition hidden for just the idiots like me can not messing around with it?

  The laptop was one given to nine and it works fine just worried that if I need to format the laptop and it reboot patients have problems and im starting to think it might be the wrong decision when buying a used laptop.

  (1) small hidden partition that contains the Windows 7 repair files
  (2) C partition for the system
  (3) D partition for files image of Toshiba

  So don t be worried, everything is ok.

  Like Akuma says you can enable or disable the touchpad with FN + F9 key combination.

  My Toshiba Satellite P850 138 comes with an nvidia GT 630 M graphics card. I know to replace the graphics card (if it is even possible) is a long-term work... but can someone tell me if I CAN upgrade the graphics card and if yes, what options are available?

• Satellite P20 S203 does not recognize my additional 1 GB memory

  My computer (Satellite P20 S203) does not recognize my second Bank of memory (1 GB). I have two banks of memory of 1 GB installed. BIOS reports only 1 GB, Windows reports that 1 GB and my Linux so he says only 1 GB of memory. I removed each Bank of memory and restarted the computer successfully in each of the two slots, No Problem, but when the two banks of memory are inserted, it always uses only 1 GB. My BIOS is on version 2.10:

  If you use two memory modules, you must only use two modules of the same production.

  Well - here I answer to my own problem in case someone else has the same problem.  The second disk files recovery finally finished loading after 20 hours of waiting!  I spoke to two different technicians to support HP on the phone and neither one of them told me that it could take a long time to load the files!  One of them had me arrested and again after about 40 minutes of waiting.  I found it totally by accident after having frustrated and leaving it just stay there all night. Amazing!  The rest of the restore procedure went well after that - I think.  I'm always load all other software, files and updates, 2 days later.  The hard drive on this dog only lasted a year.

  My touchpad started acting strange.

  My personal opinion, you should not replace this laptop until you tried not to workarounds.
  First you don t know if its software related issue.
  The point is that if its software delivers, you could solve it easily recover the laptop using the recovery of HARD drive option.

  Please try to configure the computer laptop initial configuration using disk HARD recovery.
  Press F8-> choose fix my computer-> drive HARD recovery

  If HARD drive recovery is not available, press F12 and check if there is a HARD drive recovery option.
  After the system recovery, make sure that the touchpad and other features of the laptop.
