• Satellite P870 - simple image backup & restore software required

  Does anyone know of software single disc to backup and restore the C: drive, including the operating system and all imagery files.

  I used to use BartPE which had the shell of Windows XP on CD and booted from the CD and allowed an image must be restored. It didn't matter if the PC OS was broken was a simple operating system on the CD more Norton Ghost 8.

  I bought a portable Satellite P870 last week, I found the function do not work, especially for the backlit keyboard function key, I tried almost everything, but doesn't help t, only the brightness and volume can be adjust.

  AFAIK, you must use the drivers offered on the Toshiba support page offered to the country of purchase. On this page, you should be able to get the version on some languages.

  I have a Satellite P870 I just upgraded to 8.1 of Windows and a game I play called theHunter launch now.

  When I run the launcher it comes up with an error saying "No. appropriate display Modes.
  It worked fine on Windows 8.

  TheHunter support has not been very useful and well try a number of different things, I can't seem to solve this problem. I have also contacted Microsoft but got a call in as soon as they have been busy!

  Any suggestions as to what could cause this problem and how to solve?

  I don t play this game and cannot say what may be the problem. To be honest, this message is not unclear to me. I use Win8.1 too, but so far I n t see on my laptop.

  couple of questions:

  (a) I'm having some trouble to make windows 8.1 works fine on this laptop and cannot get/find new drivers on the toshiba site to properly adjust the video card.

  Any ideas how or where I can download video drivers that are suitable for this laptop?
  Too eager not to uninstall and go back to windows 8, now that I went that day...

  I have a call yesterday with microsoft yesterday which seems to go nowhere to fix one or two other things after this upgrade.

  (b) on the windows 8.1 machine my internet connection when running IE11
  seems now a little flaky and suspect that it is a matter of 11/windows 8.1 internet explore (other laptops on my wireless network running windows 7 and XP work fine and do not abandon their studies and can access all the info I can't get on the machine win 8.1) which seems to be a bit a common issues by looking at some other forums and

• Satellite P870 - 026 Win 8.1 - no screen mirror for TV with Intel WiDi

  I followed Windows procedures to mirror my Satellite P870-026 screen to a new TV Samsun with mirroring capability.

  My name is Jakerper. I experienced a lot of problems with my touchpad on my fairly new laptop. And Yes, I must admit that it's probably my fault, because I accidentally deleted my original touchpad drivers, thanks to a kind of idiocy temporary-accident, the first thing I did when I got my lappy.
  In any case... Bygones.

  It is a satellite P870-320. Part No. PSPLFE-01N00XN5.
  What has happened is that my touchpad is not responding as I would be. Left and right keys do work, not at all. And am I was able to push my left button (on the keyboard) and drag the files, windows, anything really. Can't change it in the settings of the mouse.

  I brandished 8, 64 - bit windows.
  I have the synaptics 11.2.4.0 drivers. It is said that the date of these drivers are 2008-08-14, which is not a lot of sense for me, because I reinstalled drivers countless of times and made with the latest drivers found on the synaptics site, but yet once uninstalled, when it did not work either, and instead I left the computer autoinstall drivers instead hopeing that he would find magically good.

  I put t know what it looks like, but as something like this shouldn't happen. If you have any new laptop contact your dealer as soon as possible, explain the situation and ask for replacement.

  If you are not satisfied with your product, you can get replacement. In my client countries have 14 days to do so.

• 3D does not work in Satellite P870

  There is no 3D playback of bluray 3D on my Satellite P870.

  All searches get comments repeating that Toshiba claims he plays 3D but they are not seeking it. My old Toshiba played 3D for a bluray attached on the same screen and it was bought before there was some 3D blurays, but this is not.

  Right out of the box this computer does not read bluray 3D on a 3D external monitor or a 3D TV connected with HDMI, as it was announced as being.

  Does anyone know why this is so and how it can be fixed. Maybe reinstalling the driver? She was purchased on the promise that it would work, but it's not.

• Satellite P870 - Atheros gigabit NIC cannot be set to 1 GB according to technical data sheets

  I just got my P870/027 and the Atheros AR8161/8165 PCI - E Gigabit Ethernet (NDIS 6.20) NIC connect controller only review of 100 MB/s and not to 1 Gbps according to laptops.

  The latest driver is installed and when I try to adjust the speed via the Device Manager it only shows 1 GB only 10 MB & 100 MB. I check the BIOS, but there is no configuration to set the speed of the network card.

  Is there another way to set the speed, or does not have data sheets.
