Satellite Pro 2100: DVD - ROM not detected - need drivers
Hello
My DVD ROM disappeared also from 'my computer' and in the Device Manager.
Where can I get a driver for the standard DVD ROM?
Computer does not see the disk, how ' do it see the player "so that I can install the driver?
All the words of wisdom?
Hey riri,.
Check in Device Manager to see if your DVD-ROM is listed and if so was it an exclamation mark against it? If it is, then simply remove it from your system and restart. Windows will identify as a new device and install with the correct driver.
It is also possible that the drive may have 'disappeared' If you have recently removed any software DVD. It is a known issue and a solution is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article: -.

Nowhere would really suit me I need to get one, but just don't know what I can and can not use! Thank you.

Satellite Pro A210 DVD Drive not working no-error code 39
Hi all
My Satellite Pro A210 dvd player does not load.
When I looked inside, he showed an error code 39.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still doesn't work.Any ideas?
Hello
To my knowledge, the 39 error message appears if the CD/DVD drive is not visible in my computer.
You can try this workaround:
Go to Device Manager and remove the drive CD/DVD from the list of devices.
Then go to the registry (regedit) and remove upper and lower key filters:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Then restart the device and test again
I think this should help! -

Also check the settings in Toshiba Power Saver. Under energy-saving Modes, it is running on batteries go Normal, and then click details. Check all the settings in power saving Mode.

After an unsuccessful attempt to install a key USB TV, my DVD/CDRW drive has disappeared. It still works, I can hear it working, but Windows XP does not know more that the computer has this feature. Satellite Pro A10: DVD rom sd c2612 stopped reading discs completely
OK, I have a Satellite Pro A10, recently it is just stopped reading discs completely! Ive got no idea what wrong with and do not know if you need to replace? I prefer not too.
If anyone has any advice on repairing it I would appreciate it. If not if anyone knows if there any compatible DVD readers writing? also the best place to buy?
Help, please!
Hello
This does not sound well :( I think it could be a hardware problem maybe something wrong with the lens of the drive
Anyway, usually it of not possible to fix these issues or it s not worth repairing, because the costs are too high
Thus, it seems that you need to replace. But be careful. Not all readers are compatible because different master/slave/c-salt settings.
I would recommend so contact the ASP in your country to get a compatible drive.But please try this proposal;
Sometimes, the Player cannot read the Middle due to the incorrect registry key.
Remove the upper and lower filter filter in this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}and restart the laptop. Maybe it helps
Good luck

Satellite Pro L100 - DVD will not turn even upward
My friend gave me an old Satellite Pro L100 PSLA4E 005009EN to look at. He acknowledges not or read the DVD. I tried using multimedia Nero, Cyberlink and VLC players, but they can't watch a DVD. A CD will play without a problem, but a DVD will not yet run abreast.
When I look in my computer it says that a TSST Corp CD/DVD TS-L632M is installed, but when I look at the edge of the disc itself, it says DVD. R/RW with lightscribe? The software is also the original software yet.
Since the downloads for this model of Toshiba page, I see that the TSST DVD - RAM drive was equipped initially to the laptop so I'm assuming that a DVD - RW was equipped afterwards?I find the hardware changes in device if Manager shows nothing. If I try to update the drivers found nothing? In desperation I tried to reinstall the drivers from the Toshiba site, but it does not help?
If this is the case why Windows XP does not recognize a DVD - RW?If someone sees something I missed please?
Hey,.
Different laptops come with a different material maybe if the laptop was supplied with this player, but in my opinion it of important either.
The fact is if DVD is not recognized it seems to be a hardware malfunction, but what you can do is cleaning the lens of the player with a Microfiber towel. Do it carefully you don't zero or destroy the lens (dust could be on the lens). After that he try again if it will recognize a DVD.
Otherwise, the disc must be replaced and contact an authorized service provider. Guys can order a compatible drive and replace it. :)

I bought a laptop (HP 2000-2d28tu) 6 months back. Unfortunately since last sound CD/DVD-ROM does not appear in any of the installed OSs, Win 7, Win 8 and Ubuntu i.e. also not in the BIOS settings. Please suggest proper advice?
I would say that this need to be replaced. It seems it would be under warranty if it's only 6 mos old. If this is not the case, the part is not too expensive and it's pretty easy to replace. After the return if you ned more of help.

Satellite Pro C660-1NQ does not detect the WLan network
Hi guys,.
We have a Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-1NQ here that does not at all, detect the wireless network
I checked the Device Manager and the wireless card does not show here.I tried scanning for new hardware, but nothing was found. I tried to turn the wireless off tension with the function and the keys F8 but not yet showing in Manager devices or any new hardware...
Any ideas as to what I can try next?
See you soon,.
AshHello
It seems that the laptop would support the Wlan Atheros 802.11agn card.
Usually the Atheros Wlan card must appear in Device Manager as on the menu network cards.
If it s not appear do not then I recommend that you install the WLAN driver which can be downloaded here:
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/?page=downloadsChoose the Atheros Wireless LAN Adapter Windows 7 (32/64) 9.2.0.419.0 or newer
I hope this helps to detect the WiFi chip! -

I've had friends get into my computer to find my DVD - ROM drive and they can't find it. They have removed upper and lower filters and may not always know where the cd/dvd-rom drive disappeared.

Satellite Pro L300 - HDD is not detected
My Satellite L300 hanged while I used it. I tried to restart, it just wouldn't start. It shows this message on the screen "no bootable device-insert boot disk and press any key" tried, but it still does not work. Then I tried using the restore disc. It then displays a message on the scree that the hard drive is not mounted which means that it does not detect the presence of the HARD drive.
What can I do?
Hey,.
This looks like the HARD drive is not recognized, so your computer isn't able to boot and disk HARD recovery doesn't work correctly
I recommend you check the BIOS if the HARD drive is recognized correctly. Usually in the BIOS, you should see the correct HARD drive model number and it would mean recognized s. Otherwise, the HARD drive is faulty and must be replaced

Reader of CD-ROM/DVD-Rom not detected/recognized
Earlier today, my DVD drive was working fine. My laptop a HP Pavilion dv9000 shut down on its own. When I restarted, the computer doesn't recognize any DVD/CD, I tried to insert.
I ran auto Microsoft fix this program, but after several times it would not work and could not fix the drive, because he could not detect it. I also tried to delete the upper and lower registry (which has worked for me before, when this problem happened), but no record was available for me to remove it. I tried to find the drive in Device Manager, but were unable to locate him.
