Satellite Pro 6000 won't start or do something

Hello

My satellite pro 6000 stopped working all of a sudden.
Power led, battery, keyboard LED is on, but nothing happens, tried to remove the battery, cd, hd and put them back, nothing seems bad.
Also tried the back button back in case but no tip was not all good.
It just won't start at all.

Any ideas out there?

Thank you

  • Satellite Pro P200 won't start

I have an old 1 week per Satellite Pro P200, it turns off when I was just in the start menu, so I was not doing something out of the norm (power cable is plugged). Since then it just won't turn.

With the connected power cable I have an electric blue, power battery and light (although attempts to restart about 2 the battery light was red, but now blue). The drive light flashes for about 3 seconds each time I try to start and I can hear something happening inside the machine, but after only 3 seconds... nothing, completely dead.

I tried to remove the battery, wait 20 minutes or more and none of it worked. Anyone have any ideas?

Seems to be definitely a hardware problem... very bad :(
Why you visit your dealer for new laptop and ask for Exchange.
Maybe the dealer will exchange the laptop with a new.

If this isn't the case, then you must contact the service provider authorized in your country for assistance.
If you have purchased an extra service on the spot then the technician you will visit at home and will try to solve this problem.

  • Satellite Pro A10 won't start HARD drive

I have a Satellite Pro A10 that is not responding. If I have the connected HARD drive I get a ' insert System Disk... "message, I checked the HARD drive with a 2.5" USB connector in another computer and it seems OK.

The laptop, I cannot change the boot order to select CD-Rom so that I can try the recovery disks. I can't get into the BIOS, but the Boot Priority option is not selectable.

    Any help appreciated.

Especially this error message appears because the Middle starts not able.
You insert a boot able CD?

Try this: connect the computer laptop HARD drive to a USB adapter and try to format the whole HARD drive.
Then put it in the laptop, insert the bootable CD and try to boot from the drive.
As mentioned you could press the C button immediately after you start the laptop

  • Satellite Pro 4600 won't start

I have a Satellite Pro 4600 w / Win2000, 15 GB HD, CD-ROM, P3 800 Mhz, 128 MB of RAM. It will not start. I can plug in the power cable and the lights show the battery is loaded or loads, the power is connected. When I press the button I get no sound from the laptop (no fans or HARD drive) and there is nothing from the HARD disk (no light whatever it may be), but the "On" indicator light turns green even if nothing else happens. Someone at - it an idea what could be wrong with that, and if/how I could fix it?

    Thank you, Adrian

    Hi Adrien,.

As a first step to diagnose your problem, I suggest you to unplug the unit from AC power and also remove the battery completely. Reconnect AC power and try to turn on the unit. If it works then stop it and reinstall the battery and try to turn on the unit again.

If the procedure above does not solve your problem, then it is likely that there is a problem with the internal components of your laptop in which case you will need to be serviced by an authorized Service partner.

  • Satellite Pro 2100 won't start at all - LED flash

My SP2100 began to have feeding problems and now won't start at all. The AC adapter green LED is lit, that are relevant lights on the body of the laptop (although the "battery charge" light always orange these days). When I try the switch on, startup begins (in fact succeeded on occasion until this morning), however the battery indicator and the adapter lights are flashing, and everything stops again.

On the rare occasions when I'll be past this stage, lights blinking, and the system soon shuts down again with a screen message "low battery." Until this morning, he would sometimes settle, the computer remained on, and the lights showed a State of equilibrium as usual.

Initially I thought that the problem was of course the battery or the AC adapter, but now I'm starting to think that it is with internal PSU of the laptop (although I suspect the battery is probably tour after all this part of loading and unloading).

    Any ideas?

    Hello

I think you're right. Flashing LEDS are a sign that hardware is defective.
I can't say what exactly is the problem, this should be verified by a technicain.
On the other side I don't know if it's worth to repair such an old machine.

    Good bye

  • Satellite Pro M30 won't start all of a sudden

I'm looking for assistance with feeding issues.
For some reason my M30 Pro Sam wants not start all of a sudden.

When I press on, the light blinks for a milliseconds and then nothing happens outside the DC flashes orange.
I tried to start on battery only and DC only and nothing seems to work.
I can't get anything to work - ideas?

Think you that adapter, AC power or internal battery is dead?
I only just got it repaired a month or he is before the end of the warranty but its all done now so have that support.

    see you soon

    Hello

This looks like a motherboard problem and not a battery or an AC adapter problem.
The LED provides an error code which can be read by a technician for laptop.

Generally, the warranty covers the part repaired for about 6 months.
If the defective part has been fixed then a month ago and the same part failures again then the warranty should cover the replacement.

In this case, you must call the ASP in your country and should explain the issue

  • Satellite Pro 6000 does not start

I have a 6000 Pro satellite, which does more boot. In recent years, he was skittish to get initially, I found exercising pressure on the right of the mouse would normally it starts in life.

A few months ago, it got to the point where if I released the pressure it immediately off himself. Now I can't start at all, even when the application of pressure.

When I plug the power supply in the power turns on and the battery light turns orange. If I just press the button start there is a short burst of blinkers and lights that all out. Then the power light flashes orange. This continues after removing the power cable. I need to take out the battery to stop the electric orange flashing.

If I try to start the laptop while applying pressure with the thumb to the right of the mouse looks like it's working as the hard drive light and sounds of disk as it turns. Unfortunately, that's how.

Research on the symptoms, that looks like it's a case of the fault of card mother feared the 6000 series is infamous for. I not mistaken, and is there something that can be done?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

It looks like a hardware problem possibly there is something wrong with your surfboard because the power light flashes.
This means that an error has been detected on the motherboard.

Generally and laptop technician could read and can tell what's exactly wrong.
But in most cases, a motherboard must be replaced if a motherboard error has been detected. :(

    Welcome them

  • Satellite Pro 6000 - how can I update the BIOS?

    Hi all

I have the problem that my laptop does not start 9 of 10 times with the message: * block 1 BIOS is damaged, call your service man.

I want to update BIOS but for the Satellite Pro 6000 I can only find an update the BIOS from Windows. But my laptop does not start! Rarely the machine starts, but when I try to update the BIOS, I get the message that I already have the latest version of the BIOS

    My questions:
    * Is there a BIOS update file that is a BIOS floppy? (for example the Satellite Pro 6100 has 2 BIOS files, 1 Windows and 1 making a floppy disk)
    * Is it possible to update the BIOS with the same version of Windows?

Or perhaps there is another solution for this problem? Has no need to update my BIOS?

    Thank you.

    Hans

    Hello

    I agree with Luke.
The rom Bios module seems to be damage.
Either it must be replaced or flashed again.

But you won't be able to do that! The update of the Bios on the Toshiba page focuses on winning and you will not be able to update if the windows are not running.

You last chance is an ASP that could check the BIOS ROM.
As I said, most high, maybe new reflash module Rom help but cela can be answered simply by an ASP technician who checked this.

  • Damaged BIOS 1 - Satellite Pro 6000 block

    Hi all

I bought a laptop, a Satellite Pro 6000, but after a few weeks, he refused to start and gave me the bios message 1 damaged block.

I downloaded the update to bios on the toshiba site, but it does not work.
I have an external floppydisc. When I put the .exe to upgrade the bios on a floppy disk and turn on the laptop with the ~ button, I get the message "ready for the update of the bios, place the update disk and press any key when ready."
I can hear the disk is searched, but nothing happened.

How do I update the bios or is there something else wrong?
    Any help would be appreciated!

In my opinion with the BIOS update you can't do anything wrong.
If you BIOS, update by following the procedure described in the document FAQ Toshiba and the BIOS update can not be done properly, I'm afraid there is a problem with the BIOS chip and it may be defective.

I can't say for sure, but if the BIOS chip is damaged, then you have a big problem.

  • Satellite Pro 6000 (PS600E-04T8S-EN): Need a list of parts.

Hello. Can someone please help a beginner. I'm trying to fix a few old (2 laptops) of the same brand. I have the maintenance manual, but I would like a list of parts and numbers so that I can buy the right parts to repair.

    Can anyone help?

    Joanne

    Hello

Unfortunately, you won't find the parts on the Toshiba site lists.
You can visit the Toshiba site options and accessories:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=ONLINE_SHOP

But you will only find a more compatible devices.

In addition, you can check out this site:
    http://www.sparepartswarehouse.com/vendor-laptop.aspx?DeviceType=0&vendorlevel=vendor&vendor = toshiba & series = 51239 & partcategory = 0 & filter = 0
You will find compatible Satellite Pro 6000 coins, but you know, it s not an official website of Toshiba.

  • Satellite Pro 6000 - new RAM does not work

    Hi all

New to this forum sorry if this was asked before, I did a search but could not find anything so here goes.

I just bought a new RAM for my Satellite Pro 6000. When I install it nothing happens the laptop won't boot. If I put the old stick in no problem. The ram I bought is unb 512 MB PC133 CL3 and old RAM 256 MB PC133s. I think little small to read with these old eyes.

I was told I might need an update of the BIOS but cannot find one for my laptop under 1.4 for the moment.
Any help would be thank Lindsey

I think that the new RAM is not compatible with the motherboard or laptop.

The manufacturing of the new RAM you said does not for me so I would buy an another RAM, such as Kingston. Kingston makes high quality RAM and many users here buy Kingston RAM to upgrade its RAM.

By the way: do you use the RAM or only the new? Normally, if you use two memory modules live, you must use it with the same specifications.

The update of the BIOS, you can find the Toshiba site, but this doesn t affect the compatibility of Aries.

  • Satellite Pro 6000 RAM upgrade problems

Apologies for multiple - originally, I put this in the Satellite rather than the Satellite Pro series Forum.

I have an old Satellite Pro 6000 that has 256 MB of RAM in it, and accordingly, as he tries harder sound, it is not the fastest machines.

I want to increase the RAM to 1 GB, which I believe is the maximum and 2 sticks of memory of 512 MB PC133 CL3 3.3V, which I think should work fine.

However, I tried to install either as a pair or separately, with the 256 MB of RAM, and when I put the memory in, the PC resolutely refuses to start. The lights of power lights, but it is only it works.

I put the original 256 MB of RAM in the slot, and it works fine.

I'm something wrong or missing something?

    Any help appreciated gratefully.

    Hello

    > Am I something wrong or missing something?
Of course, you use the memory bad or is not compatible!

Initialization not after an upgrade of memory is a common behavior if the modules are not compatible or do not work.

You can upgrade the memory to 1024 MB (2x512MB) max and page Toshiba should run these modules:
    PC133 512 MB (PA3108U - 1 M 51)
    PC133 256 MB (PA3086U - 1 M 25)
    PC133 128 MB (PA3085U - 1 M 12)
