Satellite Pro A10 do not accept graphic driver

Help...

But he gets about 75 percent of the facility, then hits say error "contact toshiba box?" Help!

The driver that is installed is a 2003 pilot. I need to update the drivers that I can't get to run Medal of Honor allied assault...

Hello

Where did you download this graphics driver?
On the site site Web from Toshiba or Intel?

I guess that you are not using a graphics driver Toshiba original and therefore it of not possible to use it.
Unfortunately, some people have suggested that Tosh drivers are a little different. They are changed to avoid overheating of the graphics card.

    Hello

Well, it could be a hardware malfunction of HARD drive. Yes, it is possible. But I don t think that there is a bad connection. You used this HARD over the last two years and you n t change the settings of connections on this HARD drive. Is this good?
If it possible s so I suggest you of to completely format the HARD drive.
Then try to start the recovery procedure.

However if the HARD drive has a functioning default (ie. crushing of the head), so the only way is to replace this device.

    Hi all.

I just bought a new model slimline DVD rewritable AD - 7540A, brand Sony NEC Optiarc. When it is plugged into the computer laptop and for the POST, it appears the 'IDE #1 error' message after the operating system starts, I am unable to open the drawer and no CD/DVD can be read.

I checked this drive on another laptop from another brand, and it works fine, so the problem is not in the drive itself. Could someone help me?

    Thanks in advance.

Your phone does support not all readers of CD/DVD slimline because different or bad master/slave/c-salt settings.

The IDE #1 error message indicates that the BIOS cannot recognize the device connected to the #1 IDE controller.

  • Satellite Pro A10 does not pass the Windows page after removing SP2

    Hello

I have a toshiba laptop Satellite Pro A10.
I installed windows service pack 2 week last to try to get one of these dongles TNT to work, he never so I uninstalled service pack 2 I was going to try and reinstall it to see if it would work.

Now, my problem is that the laptop will not go at all, it gets to the windows XP page and then everything stops, someone could help me I don't know what to do!

    Thank you
    Sharon

    Hi Sharon

Seems that the system files are corrupted on the HARD drive.
All of the installation and the removal of the service pack has damaged some files or registry entries.

I don t think you will be able to resolve this situation without reinstalling the OS.
In my opinion, it's a better way to get rid of this problem.

Take the Toshiba Recovery CD and reinstall everything.
If you want to back up your data, I recommend to connect the internal HARD drive to another computer via the external USB HDD controller.

    Good luck

  • Cannot install Win 8 - Satellite Pro C660 does not detect HARD drive

    Hello

My HARD drive died, so I decided to upgrade my Satellite Pro C660 - 1 9 to an SSD.
I made a USB bootable with Win8 and starts very well.

The problem is that it does not detect my SSD, so I can proceed with the installation.
SSD appears in BIOS but not in Windows Installer.
He said that there is a missing driver.

I downloaded the AHCI drivers (XP, only ones available) and even in this case, after you have selected the only rider that appears, it says no new device found.

I tried to change the SATA from AHCI mode to compatibility mode and it's the same thing...

    What can I do?

    Thanks for the help.
    Best regards
    Bruno Moreira

More old Windows XP need a driver AHCI Intel's but I think this isn't a problem with SATA driver missing because as far as I know Windows 8 as well as Win 8.1 already contains the drivers to recognize the SSD or HARD disk drive.
In addition, the installation of the OS should be possible even if the driver would be added for this procedure, you must use the "compatibility" mode
As you say, the compatibility mode is not working too, so I think there is another problem.

However, page driver Toshiba also provides a driver Intel RST (Intel Rapid Storage Technology) (Windows 8 - updated) you can try to add during the installation of the OS.

But I m wondering if you would be able to install this Win 8 on common SATA HDD.
Have you tried to format the SSD using a different computer, then install Win 8?
    Give it a try.

  • Satellite Pro A10: Question about upgrade HARD drive

I want a bigger hard drive, but xp home edition preinstalled. If I change the hard drive I don't think that the recovery disc would work to re install xp. How can I do this without having to buy a new version of windows? Oh, it's a portable satellite pro spa10.

Sorry, but why you are suggesting that the recovery CD will not recognize the new HARD drive?
The fact is that if the BIOS will recognize the new HARD drive then you will have no problem for the recovery and the installation of the OS.

If you want to upgrade the HARD drive, you must use a compatible. Then everything simply initialize-towards the top of the recovery CD and the operating system will install on the new HD disc.

  • Satellite Pro M70 does not see HARD drive sometimes

    Help me!

My computer does not see my hard drive but see Installer and another computer.
My hard drive is working and I put the new drive hard but computer does not see.
And when I install XP on the computer I can see HDD format during the installation.
And when prawns my computer I do not see the HARD disk again.

    Help me please

    Hello

I think that it s a HDD issue naturally it s really strange that the HARD drive is different sometimes and sometimes it s is not visible, but I doubt that it could be software related issue. That's why I think that it s a drive HARD and in my opinion, you should check if other HDD SATA runs correctly.

    Good bye

  • Satellite Pro A10 does not start

    Hello

My laptop died this morning. When I press the POWER ON button, the power light is on, but nothing else happens. The screen is dark and I can't hear the fan running.

    Please can someone help?

    Hello

The first step that I can recommend is to remove the battery for a short period and try to restart the device. It will be interesting to know if there is a possibility to enter the BIOS settings (use the ESC key at startup).

Hello! I'll try to find the exact display on my satellite pro A10 chipset model. The driver on the toshiba site is not updated, and I can't use the correct resolution (19 "Wide or 1440 x 900) on my external display.
At the same time before I was able to update the driver correctly, just the search for generic driver "Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME" and software "extreme graphics" at the Intel Web site.

  • Can I install a DVD - RW on my Satellite Pro A10 drive?

I want to upgrade the drive of DVD ROM/CD-RW (SD-R2412) on my Satellite Pro A10 on a DVD - RW drive, so I can burn DVDs. I bought a Toshiba (TS-L632) DVDRW drive, because it's exactly the same size and shape, such as the existing DVD ROM drive, the same voltage (5v) and the same connector.

However, after installation and setting on the laptop, it is not recognized as being installed that is to say, there is no sign of it at all on the computer. Is it because the laptop is completely unable to support a DVD - RW disc, or have I bought an incompatible device? If so, is there a compatible DVDRW drive?

    Thanks in advance,
    Fred.

PS the exact model of the Satellite Pro is PSA15E - 0115Q - EN

  • Satellite Pro A10 - Win 7 with WLan PA3171U-1MPC

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro A10 with a PA3171U-1MPC Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card, 160 GB HARD drive and 1 GB of RAM, I want to upgrade to Windows 7 for my son.

    He worked in XP before.
States of Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor:
"Before installing Windows 7, go to the device manufacturer's Web site to download the latest driver for this device.
After I installed Windows 7, install the sound driver. »

Does anyone know if there is a driver (Windows 7) or a WinXP driver will do the job?
If Yes, where can I download a (my XP image has been corrupted, I'll do a new installation).

    Thank you very much
    Steve

    Hello

Firstly by Satellite Pro A10 is not Win 7 supported and therefore, you will find not all Toshiba drivers for this model of laptop. The unit is just too old.

I put t know if Win XP WLan driver compatible with Win 7. I think that it s is not compatible. Driver Vista may be compatible with Win 7, but not Win XP driver.

In the worst case, you will need to use an external USB WLan dongle to get wifi on this laptop.

  • Satellite Pro A10 - CD/DVD drive - updated?

I have an A10 and a few remnants of the A15 which I cannibalise the parts.
The A10 has DVD playback only, while the A15 motorway had features of reading / writing DVD.

Desperately the A10 BIOS does not recognize the A15 CD/DVD drive.
Anyone know if it is possible to obtain this recognition - could I swap chips BIOS with the A15 for example?

    Hello
You can only use the BIOS that came out for the Satellite Pro A10 series and which is available on the Toshiba page.

But why you n t use a CD/DVD drive that is compatible with the model Satellite Pro A10?
The manual provides details on supported devices.
I found the user manual [here: http://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/userman-en-20090121085356.zip]

On page 4-7 you will find info on the STRANGE devices supported by Pro A10

    -DW-224th drive TEAC CD-RW/DVD-ROM
    -Toshiba DVD - ROM SD-C2612
