Satellite Pro A10: New card wireless Atheros/Askey, but "this device cannot start" code 10

Hello

I have a Satellite Pro A10 and bought an internal pci wireless adapter. The following information is displayed on my card:

Askey WLL3070-D4 (MOW)
Atheros AR5BRB-43

I installed the card, attached to the ariel and turned on the laptop... the switch at the front lights up now and Windows xp detects the new ethernet adapter. My problem is the following...

Any driver I install (and Ive tried all the drivers of the first 20 + pages of yahoo/google Askey/Atheros etc.) the card installs very well but then in device manager has a yellow! next to him and says this device cannot start (code 10)

I am really puzzled. I have little ram more to come in the next few days how I am installng Vista im hoping sort my problems, but someone has any ideas?

I have not yet find a driver which specifically refers to the AR5BRB or the WLL3070-D4 model number.

Does anyone have a location for a pilot, etc.?

Thank you

    Hi Jack,

You did changes to the computer before the show?

The Code 10 error applies mainly to the problems of hardware driver and devices or compatibility problems between the drivers of equipment and additional software that is installed in Windows. Therefore, we recommend that solve you these problems with emphasis on device drivers, configuration of device problems and hardware compatibility issues.

  • After a custom Windows 7 installed on a Toshiba Satellite P105-S6084, my audio device does not start. Error code: this device cannot start. (Code 10)

I got driver Conexant speakers on my laptop. I tried to find a device driver updates, but have had no luck. After being in Control Panel, hardware and audio, Device Manager, sound, video and game controllers, under that is high definition Audio Device with a yellow triangle and!.

After a right click and update driver, it says that the driver is up-to-date. In addition, the error code says this device cannot start (Code 10)

In addition, this seems to be a driver of Microsoft when the original driver was Toshiba/Conexant. I looked on the support Web site of Toshiba for a driver updated for my laptop and Windows 7.

    Any suggestions?

    Umesh P,.

Thank you for answering my question. I don't know that this forum allows you to stay busy. Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

To sum up, I checked the Windows Audio and Windows Audio EndPoint Builder according to your instructions. Both were running as usual and start automatically, so it wasn't the issue.

I then visited Fix It. On the web page, since I am under Windows 7, the instructions on the provided web page to access the control panel and through system and security, to try to resolve the problem to fix common computer problems.

This process led me through the same re-setup of the device through Windows 7 driver that failed previously. Also because it has detected Windows 7, the web page would allow me to run the Fix It program.

When I visited the Support from Toshiba web page you provided, I was unable to find a sound driver for Windows 7. After filtering through my computer on their web page, the nearest driver was for Vista.

Take a chance, I downloaded it anyway. What has been the worst that could happen? It does not work? Well, I was there already. In any case, the installation worked and I now the audio again.

Moreover, this is the link for the driver, for anything that might be in a similar situation I've been:

    driver_audio_conexant_25636A.exe

    -or-

    http://cdgenp01.CSD.Toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/driver_audio_conexant_25636A.exe

Also, Conexant offers no direct audio driver support and ask you to check with the manufacturer, which in my case is Toshiba. Toshiba not currently has an audio driver Windows 7 for my particular Satellite phone. Since this is an older, they can't come out with an updated driver.

But, since the audio driver Vista download works, it is now a non-issue.

    Thank you!

I have a number of cards memory SD, who used to work with the machine's card reader but now gives a code 10 this device cannot start, error message - is this a problem XP - ideas appreciated...

    Hello

Well, it sounds to be really an XP problem. Eventually he s corrupt registry entry.
Just try to remove the SD card from the Device Manager reader, and after restarting again try to install it again

  • Network cards - "this device cannot start." (Code 10)

I recently bought a new video card and in order to make it work, I got my BIOS and motherboard software updated (v9 to v20, a huge leap that I've apparently updated in 2012). After the update my new graphics card worked perfectly, but I ran into a problem with my network card.

At the start, my internet connection is broken. When I access the Device Manager, it shows me that network cards, specifically my Intel 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection has an alert, and the message is: "this device cannot start. (Code 10) ». Now, if I reboot either OR I right-click on Intel 82579LM Gigabit network connection, and then select Properties > advanced > value and select "Automatic Detection" or "Force Master Mode" it resets and I have access to the internet (at least until the next time I turn on my PC and there is no need to repeat the process). If I try this again, it breaks and I need to restart.

I guess I have to reinstall my drivers and to this end, I visited the site Web of Gigabit and downloaded PROWinx64.exe (as I am running Windows 7 64 - bit). However, I am reluctant to run where it worsens the situation. So I thought that I check first with the experts and make sure that I took the right course of action.

Hello. You can try to cancel the changes with the Windows system restore, but generally if it was a Windows Update then it cannot Ωtre annulΘe. Go to start > all programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore
and check the box "restore my computer to an earlier time."  Choose a date before the update.

If it does not then try to install the IDT audio driver for Vostro 1720.

  • Satellite PRO A10 new HDD partition with 80 GB HARD drive

I've recently updated the original 30 GB HARD drive for a 80 GB HARD drive. I used the recovery CD and all is well.

The old laptop is now as good as new again.

I notice that rather than having a c: drive of 80 GB, recovery utility has given me 3 partitions in about 25 GB each (c: d:, and e :).) They were originally FAT32 although I changed it to NTFS.

My question is can I remove e: and d: partitions and then increase the size of the c: up to the maximum size possible (approx. 75 GB)? I know that windows xp can handle, but I don't know if the BIOS can or even why 3 partitions have been created in the first place.

    Post edited by: dim33

To be honest I m really surprised that there are 3 partitions after the recovery procedure. I got many old books as your A10 and newer seen this.
In any case go to disk management and try to create partitions on the way you want it to be.

In my opinion you should have the C partition with 25 or 30 GB and the second 50 GB partition for the data record. Don t use a partition only. If something does not go the whole partition must be deleted and you will lose all of your stored data. It is always better to have the second partition for data backup.

In the worst case (you cannot start OS), you can install Windows XP Home edition on the first partition, boot OS and have full access to all stored data.

    Hello

    For the 6to4 adapter.

Control Panel - Device Manager - do a right-click on the two - UNINSTALL - REBOOT

Nothing else to do, Windows will do the rest. And you can ignore the errors altogether if you wish
and on some computers, it will always be there but don't cause any trouble.

On a Windows Vista-based computer or on a Windows Server 2008, Microsoft computer
ISATAP map appears with a yellow exclamation next to it in Device Manager and you also
    error message.

Description of errors related to the 10 Code that generates the Device Manager in Windows on computers
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/943104/

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check manually
    by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

    Hello

You can fix this by removing a high low filters in the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

But before you will need to remove these entries go to the Device Manager and remove the drive from the list of devices CD/DVD.
Access to the registry, and then follow the above procedure.
    Finally, restart the laptop.

That article should work it worked on my laptop too.

    Hello

    First do a hard reset.

Please go through this Hotfix from Microsoft for the error you are getting.

Please uninstall & update audio driver & BIOS after checking, you have such version specified in the site pilot here on the website of the HP product . Reboot after that. Do the troubleshooting in the Microsoft Fix document.

When you're done, shut down the laptop.

Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key ESC that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select F10 to open the BIOS menu.  Press F5 to load the default values (sometimes it's F9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press F10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

    Check if its working
