  I have a problem with my graphics ATI Mobility Radeon x 1600 card card. I can't update to the latest driver from the ATI. The program says that it can not install on my system - contact company for the most recent driver. But the one that is provided by Toshiba is almost two years!
  It all started with, that I could not run FIFA 2009... even if it clearly States in EA own manual that this graphics card is supported! But I do not see everything in the game - except the players. Only their shadows are visible...

  I know it's a lot, but I'm pulling the hair here!

  I really wonder that many people do not understand why the laptop manufacturers don't offer drivers for graphics cards so often.

  I recently bought a psaa3e Satellite Pro A100.
  I formatted and installed Win XP. Everything works except the sound.
  In Device Manager its shows a PCI device problem.

  I think I need the pci to install before my sound card is recognized.
  I could be wrong and often am installed all drivers I could find on this site for my laptop.
  Any suggestions please, its driving me crazy.

  The solution is simple.
  After installing Xp, you must install all the service packs. SP2 is important.
  In addition, you will need to upgrade the XP to the last State. All fixes and patches must be installed also.
  The * KB888111 * and * KB835221 hotfix * must be installed before installing the audio driver.

  After installing the hotfix, restart the computer, and then reinstall the audio driver!

• Upgrade of RAM in my Satellite Pro A100 (PSAA3E) was not recognized.

  I have a Pro A100 (PSAA3E) with only 512 MB of RAM.

  I added another identical stick but only 1 has been recognized.
  Each stick is recognised individually in each slot, but never as a 1 GB together. Thus, the two sticks are ok and two slots are okay!

  How can I remedy so that both are recognized?

  Did you use one that is recommended by Toshiba?
  Seems the two modules aren't compatible together hmmm seems very strange.

  How you did upgrade the memory?
  You must disconnect all cables and remove the battery. Then install the memory modules and enter the BIOS. There, you should check if the memory has been increased and set the default BIOS. Don t forget to safe settings!

  Current OS: Vista Home Basic (OEM)

  I would like to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional (less than £50 for the educational license). I run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and this indicates that all devices are compatible except for: Realtek High Definition Audio (with SRS). The adviser said "we have not the compatibility information about this device.

  Someone at - it went down that road and found a driver windows 7 for the PA system or alternatively found the vista driver works OK?

  My current version of the driver is realtek 6.0.1.5326.

  In my opinion that s is not a problem to get a newer driver. Most Vista drivers are normally also works on Windows 7 and if not, since the Realtek page you can download a newer version, the Windows 7 compatible driver too:

  The problem is that your unzipped folder name is too long!
  You need to rename the folder. Take a shorter name!

  And why the page display driver Toshiba doesn't? You get an error message or something else? What happens exactly?

  In General, the chipset driver must be installed everything first. Then, you can install the Toshiba page display driver.

• Satellite Pro A100 - CD/DVD drive is not listed in the Manager of peripherals and BIOS

  Can Hi anyone tell me what is wrong with this laptop?

  The problem is im using my DVD - ROM drive and it stops working. I went into Device Manager and it wasn't there and it was not in my list of drives. I went and checked the BIOS, it is not listed there either and the BIOS pick up all get them is check the cable or the conection.

  Would be grateful if some knows what happened or if my hard drive is gone.

  I have a Satellite Pro A100-198 with a core duo processor. I would like to replace the processor of a Satellite Pro A100 830, which is Core2Duo in the Pro A100-198. They both have the same chipset-expected-they be any problem with that? This would increase the clock speed of 1.66 GHz to 2.0 GHz. They all have two Intel 945 PM Express chipset.

  I just upgraded from XP to Windows 7 32 bit and the performance score is 3.4. My BIOS version is 1.9 and I see there is an upgrade to win all the version 6, but I can't find the BIOS version history - it is better to upgrade. For the moment, I'll see if there are problems.

  As far as I know the two books belongs to the PSAACE series. Can you confirm this? You can find this information on the underside of the laptop.

  Normally if the books belong to the same series, it should be possible to exchange the CPU. They use the same hardware, so you can exchange.

  But don t forget this isn't supported CPU upgrade. If you have the warranty you will lose it. Other s CPU are pre-tested not on your laptop.

  The SP3 for XP contains two important fixes for audio cards high definition. SP3 must be installed first and then the audio driver, otherwise it won't work. So maybe reinstalling the audio driver might also solve this problem.

  Hi I found the usefulness of Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 PSAA3 shortcut keys.
  It is not the same series, but try to install it. Maybe it will work!

  I had this problem twice on my Toshiba laptop (Satellite Pro A100 bought in April 2006): the DVD used to play very well, but now (perhaps after an update of the driver or installation of software, I not sure what causes this) DVD playback is choppy, distorted sound. This occurs throughout all media players on Windows XP (for example, PowerDVD which came with the laptop) or Windows media player.

  I searched the internet far from a solution and finally found how to solve this problem:

  Go to Device Manager, select the "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" section, and then select the "second IDE channel", right click and 'uninstall '. (There are two second IDE channels, if you know which then just uninstall both.) Restart Windows XP, Windows XP will automatically reinstall the drivers without the need to download anything. Subsequently the DVD Player reads normally.

  The symptoms of the problem, apart from DVD playback choppy, are the "transfer mode" gets stuck on PIO for a reason, and bring back to DMA with no opportunity to spend. I have no idea what software or driver causes this, or why, but if this is your problem too, if you think that this solves.

I don't know what that means and what software controls the connection. I have other laptop which is duly connected by wireless. I'm ok with wired connection.

  I don't know much about the technical aspects and therefore ask for help so any reader can.

  You may not use the ConfigFree for configuring Wlan but own Vista configuration options or the WLan configuration tool like Atheros Clint Utility or Intel ProSet utility. It depends on the WLan card which utility can be used.
  Card Intel-> Intel ProSet utility; Card Atheros WLan-> Atheros Clint Utility

  I guess the message + this connection is controlled by other software + appears because one of the above options controls the WLan.

  I have a Satellite Pro A100-PSAA3E and I am trying to connect it so that it shows on my tv.
  Ive tried the connection through the S-Video port on my laptop to the TV using a S-Video SCART cable and cell phone or television are picking up anything.
  I tried each input on my TV, even restarted the laptop with TV already on and set to each entry.
  I have also tried using a VGA-video cable and got no further, even after trying everyhint I can think.
  As far as I know I have the latest drivers and have tried everything I can think of.
  Whenever I'm in display-settings-advanced-poster, TV box is completely grayed out and unclickable.

  Can anyone help?
