Satellite Pro A200 - 1 MI: how to re-enable the touchpad

Hello

I recently bought a new Satellite Pro A200 - 1 MI (psae7e). Thing is that while I was using it at the start there was this allocation at the beginning which allowed us to use the shortcut keyboard (fn + keys) on the screen.
It was at the top of the screen.

So I clicked on the tab to disable my touchpad but now I can't seem to activate the touchpad and accidentally closed this keyboard shortcut help too.

So all tried to re-enable the touchpad; reinstalled driver, tried to install the touchpad power and everything...

Please help me.
If there are questions to ask...
I really hope that someone could find an answer for me.

Thanks in advance,
Sabil

Hello Sabil

You can restart Flash cards: start > all programs > Toshiba > utilities > settings for Flash cards. Open these settings and clear the check box in front of the option to disable.
I hope that you will be able to use Flash cards again.

    Hello!

If you want to update the BIOS, you need version 5.60. Are the other version for Vista and 5,60 only one is for XP and if it s the right one for you.

The BIOS update procedure is quite easy. The update is based on Windows, which means that you can update it on Windows. So to extract all files from zip archive and run the exe file. Then updated your BIOS.
But before update you, close all programs running even your AntiVirus and firewall and connect the AC adapter.

    Good luck!

  • [Satellite Pro A200] - slow when problems of transfer and the warmth of the data.

    Hi people.

I have a 1.5 years old Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 with 200 GB HARD drive standard. For some time, his behavior is just... weird.

Sometimes the system slows down. She behaves just slow, it freezes frequently for a second when simple tasks such as entering the text. It; s busiest during intensive data transfers (e.g. copy files via FTP from my copy of the USB or LAN), but sometimes it happens even when no application other than Firefox does. It is not apparent, so I wonder - service it will take in terms of warranty (which means - is there a probability that you will say that everything is perfect and charge me for it?)
The computer was once on the repair under warranty, they replaced the HARD drive with another. Is it possible that the other has problems as well (check S.M.A.R.T. discovers nothing). Or is it maybe faulty SATA controller?

Another thing is the temperature. During the normal work (Internet, MS Word) two hearts runs at 60 * C. When the set temperature may exceed 90 * C and the computer sometimes shuts down. I guess the problem is dust accumulated inside the laptop but I do not see how can I clean.

Go to the service of this kind of problems?

Virus scanners can slow a system down considerably, what antivirus do you use?

If you have a lot of programs installed, perhaps its time to back up your data and reinstall Windows. I do it myself every year since Windows tends to become bloated and slow after a while.

With respect to the dust, you can Sauté using a can of compressed Air sprayed through the main entrance of air (when the system is off).
Or if dust is really bad, you will need to send it to a Service provider authorized to do so and cleaned disassembled.

  • How to re-enable the touchpad on samsung netbook

Hi, I use a samsung netbook n150, loaded with the software of windows 7. I found that on the samsung touchpad is too sensitive and decided to turn it off and use the mouse. I think that I have disabled this is going in a maintenance program, but can't seem to locate the same program again. It has been a few months (I don't use the laptop which is often). Now, I found that there is a function key that allows enabling/disabling quick and painless, but pressing the function keys do not seem to re-enable the touchpad.

Anyone know how of reactive programs? Samsung has its set of simple maintenance program, but do not seem to have anything on this.

Check the status of the device in the Device Manager under Computer Management console: perhaps the touchpad is disabled or uninstalled and you can reactivate it or force the detection of changes of material.

Try pressing WIN + X to launch Windows Mobility Center and look for any kind of option that could be useful to reactivate the touchpad.

    Good bye.

  • Restore the partition from the Satellite Pro A200 recovery

    Hello

I accidentally deleted the 5 GB recovery partition on my Satellite Pro A200. I have since recovered (and the data inside) and tried to create my discs of recovery using the "Recovery Disc Creator', but it is to say that it cannot find the recovery partition :(

I tried fishing by the ini files for recovery disc creator find where he seeks the score, but could not find anything...

One thing I noticed is that now it is recovered, it appears as a NTFS fs (I think that before it was an unknown FS type?) and volume label "HDDRECOVERY".

Any ideas on how I can either:

    (a) wrong recovery tool by using the recovery partition
    (b) to make the score look exactly as it did before I deleted it, so I can use the tool as it is.

Would really appreciate any help - want to make these recovery disc for my vista ultimate before I go around whacking backtrack top :) and dicking

    your

    Frank

    Hello

    > accidentally deleted the recovery partition of 5 GB on my Satellite Pro A200. Since I got (and the data inside)
I wonder how you restored the deleted partition. Perhaps the recovery settings partition are not the same that before and, therefore, the "Recovery Disc Creator' doesn t work properly.

Unfortunately, I think you will not be able to fool the recovery tool, if the recovery partition cannot be found.
You can rename only the partition NTFS FS. This can be done in the disk management console.
But I don t think this will solve this problem.

It seems that you have to reinstall the whole OS using the CD of restoration of Toshiba or the original CD of Microsoft Vista

Ulead DVD MovieWriter for TOSHIBA was not preinstalled in my Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 (PSAE7E) as it was stated in the technical data.
Where can I get (download) a copy of this program.

You are right, I found a few pages on the Satellite Pro A200 model nr. : PSAE7E and Ulead DVD MovieWriter for TOSHIBA must be preinstalled.

Did you check all folders on the HARD drive for this application?
Have you tried to reinstall the OS from the recovery CD Toshiba delivered?

Please do because the restore CD contains the Win OS, drivers and additional software like Ulead DVD MovieWriter.

  • Satellite Pro A200 - PSAE4E Audio volume, number

Hello. First post on this forum.

I have a Satellite Pro A200. Volume in a trial through the audio controller Realtek (just upgraded to 5.1) is good, with a good volume. However the playback volume of DVD/CD or radio online, is very soft and barely audible.

I went to each adjustment of volume and set everything up.

I had hoped by downloading the software Realtek newest would stop this problem that has existed since I bought the laptop, but I'm only doing something now...

    I hope someone can help.

    Thank you
    Matt

    Hi Matt

The Realtek audio driver also installs the Realtek HD audio Manager. Can be found in the control panel.
This tool offers also some useful options that could affect the volume.

I n t have an A200 but another laptop with the same HD Realtek audio Manager and in the tab called mixer, you can find some settings that could help increase the output volume.

  • Satellite Pro A200: How to create Dual boot; Vista & XP using the recovery CD

I just bought a laptop Satellite Pro A200, which was supplied with the product for Vista and XP Recovery discs.
The license specifically Vista also XP licenses.
Can I set up a dual boot so that I can boot to Vista or XP? If so, how?

I would also like a third boot, Red Hat Linux 9.
    Any comments?

Hmmm. Usually it s possible to use two or more operating systems on the computer, but as far as I know the Toshiba Vista recovery CD formats whole disk when installing Vista and this will lead to the loss of the OS installed.
I m not 100% sure on the recovery of the newest XP CD called RECON doesn t CD include an expert mode which allows to choose between the different partitions.

So I guess that each use the recovery CD will format the HARD drive and erase the installed data. But of course, you can try to install the two BONES and to check if the restore XP CD allows to choose the second part of the installation of the OS.

If it does not, it seems that you will need to an original XP from Microsoft CD or the original CD of Vista to use the two BONES.

  • How to identify wireless LAN Satellite Pro A200?

    I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 1MA-00J00DRU.

How can I know what wireless LAN adapter, I?

    Hello

You can install a software of digitization of material like Everest home edition.
Or you can check the device id.

In-WLan card properties-> details > Device Manager, you can find something like this: PCI VEN_8086 & DEV_4229
    PCI VEN_8086-> manufacture ID
    DEV_4229-> device ID

Here you can search the s ID ;)

  • Satellite Pro A200: How restart after hibernation

    I must be a fool.
I put in power button new Satellite Pro A200 to activate the Hibernate.

Then set the BIOS password. Despite the password entered correctly, it won't start windows.
And can't stop laptop holding down the power button to force the reboot.

    (2) when and if I get a reboot, which key (s) should I hold down to get into the BIOS.

Thank you much for the help.

    > Despite the entered password correctly, it won't start windows.
    > Nor can I stop laptop holding down the power button to force the reboot

You have a Phoenix BIOS? If yes then you have to press the F2 key immediately after the laptop starts to access the BIOS. But you will not be able to access the BIOS, if the password is not right and cannot be verified.

The unknown BIOS password can be removed only by an ASP in your country. There is a special procedure that is known only to authorized Toshiba service technicians.
Therefore, follow the recommendation and contact guys!

PS: The laptop must stop when you press the power button for about 4-5 sec.
If not, unplug the AC and the battery to turn off the computer!

  • How to restore settings orginal Satellite Pro A200?

    Hiya people

I'm new to this thing, but if anyone can help me with my problem, I would be very grateful.
I have a satellite pro A200 which is about 2.5 years and is now running really slow and I was just wondering if it can be restored to its original default? But isn't any recovery disk that I saw on the web that if you hold the zero button while turning on the computer you get the recovery of HARD drive, but for some reason page any, that this does not happen, I also tried several thing but no seams to work.

If anyone out there can help me I would be very grateful

    Thank you

What you have found on the web is not relevant for all models of Toshiba laptops.
I can't say with certainty, but most A200 notebook recovery DVDs has been in the area.

Anyway, first tell us the exact laptop model name and model number.

  • Satellite Pro A200 how to get a Vista 64 bit of Toshiba Recovery disk

I have a portable satellite Pro A200 computer and I would like to install Vista 64-bit.
As I read it, you can use the 32-bit key to install the 62-bit version. Is there a way to get the "product recovery disc" in a 64-bit version.

    Or download it from somewhere

    Hello

What OS came preinstalled on your laptop?
If it's a 32 bit Vista OS, then you can only get a 32-bit Vista Toshiba recovery CD.

If you want to install another OS, no matter if it of XP or Vista 64-bit, you must purchase the operating system of Microsoft.

PS: as far as I know the key to series used for Vista 32 bit OS is only an OEM key and it does not work with other operating systems!

    Hi evo8.

What card WLAN have you had before and do the work of a former?

By the way: do other FN keys FN + F8 work or simply not?

  • No AHCI in the BIOS in Satellite Pro A200

I just installed an ssd and would like to change the bios to ahci utility but it is not an area that I am able to do this. the computer is a Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 (psfa1a-003002).

I have to update the BIOS? Where can I get the update and how can I update?

As I know the BIOS update does not offer some additional options. Please check the settings of the BIOS again. In the BIOS options there SATA advanced option and there you can change between compatibility and AHCI mode.

I have it on my P200. It is almost identical machine but 17 and your model 15.
