Satellite Pro A200-1MA: blue screen STOP: 0x000000D1 Error

Hello

I have Toshiba Satellite Pro A200-1MA and Vista 32 bit. My problem is: when I work on my internet laptop notebook and use blue screen shows:

http://img142.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00238yh0.jpg and resets.

Sometimes not regularly, but often enough [sometimes 1 by day, other times 3 per day].
It becomes quite boring, I can't work on a laptop without fear, I have nevery secondly it may restart and I will lose any unsaved work.

Thanks for help.

Hello

Do you use the preinstalled Toshiba image?
I ask because sometimes the BSOD can be caused by serious software problem. But to be honest, it looks like a hardware malfunction.
In my view, the RAM modules could be affected

I have a 6 year old using my laptop BSOD the BSOD appeared after several hours of use one I thought that it s a faulty RAM I replaced it, but the issue was not resolved finally I discovered that the temperature affected modules of RAM alone and the laptop froze and BSOD appeared
Finally, I checked the grids of cooling and cleaned using compressed air jet that it helped

But buddy note; This does not mean that your problem can be caused by high temperature. It s only a hypothesis, and in my opinion, a technician of the laptop should check the laptop to ensure that's exactly wrong.

Good luck

  • Start Windows Vista blue screen STOP: 0X0000007B error

When I try to start up the bios screen appears then it goes to the loading of windows and I get this screen.  At first I thought it was a hard drive failed, but then I took the same hdd from another laptop I had, and it still does the same thing.  I tried to install a new copy of windows from the disc, but when it loads the files and will install I get the same blue screen.  I have reset my bios to the default system, I also physically reset the cmos and still no luck.  I have no idea what to do, I'm stuck.  I tried to go to the F8 boot menu and have used all the options and it always leads to this blue screen.  This may be a hardware failure? I take the laptop completely apart and put it back together and still get this blue screen.  Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

  • Satellite Pro A200-1MA - does not start after disassembly

This is one for my laptop was overheating strongly and I decided to clean the radiator and the parts around it. I disassembled the computer laptop to the point where I can take off the cooler, cleaned and then I put everything back. The problem is now it won t work.

It starts normally, past in loading windows (I have Windows 7 sp1) and then after 10 seconds, or it just stops. I tried to go to the bios, but it does the same thing after 10 seconds. First, he showed BSOD with no explanation. Just somewhere stopped working and it has to stop, but I can't figure what. CPU should be fine, it can t overheat in 10 seconds if it s cooler nor starts loading Windows in order to RAM and HARD drive may also be excluded.

My best guess is that I'm connected to something wrong, but I disassembled it 3 - 4 times today and can t find something that is not connected. When I remove the top plastic I need to disconnect this son: speakers, power button, touchpad, keyboard and one other connectors 2 or 3 which I am sure they are USB, LAN & maybe etc...

Then, can you at least tell me where to start? What to check?

    Hey,.

I also can say with certainty what happened exactly, but fact is laptop disassembly is not easy and should be made only to professionals. If you take apart a laptop computer, you must be connected to the land, for example to avoid electrical damage.

Anyway, everything you can do test your laptop with factory settings (preinstalled OS from Toshiba). If you notice the same problem it s a serious malfunction of hardware and your laptop should be verified professional people.

  • Satellite Pro A200 (PSAF4A) - HARD drive stops and the computer crashes

    Hello

It's my first post in this forum, but certainly not my first issue

I recently had to re - install Windows Vista on my laptop because I had an undetectable virus that attacked Windows and made him useless.
Before that, I had many, many startup errors and windows crashes, but which were preventable or fixable. After the re - install, I noticed that windows stability was much better until recently.

I have not changed the settings or anything what so ever on my computer laptop which could affect the performance somehow, but I have a new problem.

If I have my computer running, performing tasks of base for a few hours I notice that performance and all of a sudden my computer completely stops responding.
The disk shows no signs of life after this point, and his only solution is a "disruptive Shutdown.
This appears in the reliability monitor and performance that all this, there is no input error, and nothing is done after.

I also noticed if either windows defender or other my antivirus runs a system scan that my performance is reduced to the point where I can't run a simple task like opening an Explorer window. This also translates to total non-response. This never happened before a week ago and now it happens every time.

These two started within the past few days and there is no clear reasoning behind it. My inactivity of the processor is always the same, no new processors added and no settings changed.

This could be a problem with Windows, my HARD drive, my CPU or something worse?

Is there a reason why is happening and is there a solution either of these problems?

First of all, you reinstall Windows with the Toshiba recovery disc or disc of Microsoft?

It's strange and not easy to say what's wrong, but in your case I would test the RAM and HARD drive.

There are special tools to test the following:
    http://www.HitachiGST.com/HDD/support/download.htm#DFT
    http://Memtest86.com/

On the two Web site, you can download a CD image. Burn it to a CD, start with him and then you can test parts.

    Good luck!

  • Satellite Pro A200: Intel GPU - screen rotated 180 degrees

    My laptop screen went backwards!
I tried CTRL - SHIFT - R to put right, but I don't have NVIDIA Intel graphics card so I think it's why it does not work.

    Please help-

I have so many things to do and I'm stuck!

    JJ

    Hello

    I think I can help you ;)

All Intel (any laptop) graphics cards support the same shortcut keys.

You can rotate the screen of the laptop by using these buttons:

CTRL + ALT + UP = turn to normal
    CTRL + ALT + LEFT = rotate 90 degrees
    CTRL + ALT + DOWN = rotate 180 degrees

    and so on.

PS: You can use this keys only if an option called enable hotkeys has been verified.
You can disable this in Accelerator Intel GMA. You can reach this through the control panel or properties of the graphics card-> settings-> advanced.

    Good bye

    Hello

In general the BSOD is a product of hardware or software problem.
So it's not easy to say exactly what's wrong.

    Display only the questions;
Have you tried a fresh install of the OS?
You update all drivers (especially the graphics card driver)?
Your BIOS is up to date?
Have you noticed a higher internal temperature?
The cooling modules are free of dust?

    Please check first!

You can install a software of digitization of material like Everest home edition.
Or you can check the device id.

In-WLan card properties-> details > Device Manager, you can find something like this: PCI VEN_8086 & DEV_4229
    PCI VEN_8086-> manufacture ID
    DEV_4229-> device ID

I've got Satellite Pro A200-PSAE7 with ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600. I downgraded to XP SP2. I get a blue screen saying that ati2dvag went infitive enough loop constantly. Any solution to this?

OFFTOPIC: Why standart drivers from ati.com to display does not work? (while on my laptop of friends with also hd2600 mobilty radeon works fine).

    Hello

    > I've got Satellite Pro A200-PSAE7 with ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600. I downgraded to XP SP2. I get a blue screen saying that ati2dvag went infitive enough loop constantly. Any solution to this?

The BSOD appears usually due to software malfunction serious matter or material.
I think it s a software problem (driver).

I presume that the BSOD appears why play games in most of the cases the graphics driver must be updated.
If the XP driver from the Toshiba page will not help, you can try the graphics drivers on the www.omegadrivers.net site. 3rd third party drivers must run on your laptop. But note; 3 third-party drivers can be used only at your own risk!

    > Why standard ati.com display drivers do not work? (While on my laptop of friends with also hd2600 mobility radeon works fine).
Cannot install the original ATI drivers on an easy path because this drivers don t support protection against overheating. Toshiba GPU drivers are slightly modified and support a protection against overheating. This protection is necessary and important as mobile graphics cards do not have large module of cooling as the GPU on to desktop computers.
Temperature increases on the much faster laptops and so the driver graphic control performance of the GPU to reduce the internal temperature.

That's why it of always advised and recommended to use the Toshiba drivers ;)

    Thank you very much

    Hello

I don't know if you saw that this forum is the forum of users and you should not wonder if nobody can give the exact answer. As an electronic engineer, you must know that no one can answer specifically and to find the good chip, you must run diagnostic tool.

So I think that you need professional help. Try to contact nearest Toshiba authorized maintainer and ask for help.

BTW: I am really interested about new comments here.

  • Matte screen disappeared on Satellite Pro A200

I have a Satellite Pro A200 which works fine on an external monitor, but is very dull on the laptop monitor.
Anyone knows if it's backlit and if the lights are replaceable, or do I need a new screen?

FN + F5/F6 does nothing. Correct brightness with the software works on the external monitor, but not on the laptop.

    Thank you

    RickC

    > Is - anyone knows if it's backlit and if the lights are replaceable, or do I need a new screen?

It could be a FL. inverter problem In the worst cases the problem internal display, but at this point, I suppose that it s inverter malfunction only an FL.

Recommend trying to replace the FL inverter first, since this part is much less expensive than a screen.

So, any help is welcome and appreciated.

My Satellite Pro A200 turns black after the BIOS screen and a black screen with a blinking cursor.
Also just as the screen goes black a beep can be heard which shows windows boot.

I can access the toshiba Setup screen but not the installation of security mode.

    Kind regards

    Hello

Please go into the BIOS settings and check if the HARD drive is listed there.
The blinking cursor is a typical sign of a malfunction of the HARD drive.
Eventually the HARD drive is dead and you need to replace it and reinstall the operating system.

    Good luck

    Hello

You wrote that you can access the BIOS, but have you checked if the HARD drive is recognized properly? Perhaps because the computer cannot start HDD isn't recognized then you should check this.

If the HARD drive is recognized, I would try a Toshiba Recovery disk recovery facility. It seems that Windows isn't able to start and if you reinstall the whole system should help get rid me of this. Go to the start menu and select the CD/DVD drive as a boot device.

    Check this box!
