  Need to support some tech with this problem.

  Satellite Pro M70 constant over heating problem. After use of 20-30 minutes of normal (web navigation etc.) the bottom of the laptop becomes really hot near the fan, unbearably hot to the touch.
  If I play games or do whatever it is cpu-intensive, it will end by the smell of the burning and power off.

  I am facing a problem for the last few days on my Satellite PRO U - 300 (31st PSU)...

  The machine does not turn off and the power light stays on (blue LED) even after you have disabled. In fact, happened 3 - 4 times when I start the computer normally by pressing the power button / stop, it does not start and I noticed that the indicator was not extinguished even after + shut down +.   Remove the battery, connect your laptop adapter only and try starting your laptop running. When the laptop boot and OS is fully loaded, wait a few minutes and reinsert the battery.

  If everything is OK look carefully if the battery will be charged correctly and when battery LED is green (fully charged battery) try to turn off your laptop as usual. Turn it back on and carefully monitor what is happening exactly.

  I installed Win7 64 bit with a custom installation (replacing 32-bit Vista). I have updated all drivers (to my knowledge) and BIOS to 2.1.   You can likely install toshiba value added package for win 7 if it is available.
  I also have the same problem with mij L40 pro and value pack for Windows 7 will not install on my laptop.
  Maybe it wil last updated in the future.

  I have the problem that after I moved from the Spain to the Thailand now my Toshiba Satellite A200-1FL randomly turns off.
  This only seems to happen when it is connected with AC - with battery I have it is not happened again although I can't rule out it.

  After some time of work (sometimes only 10 minutes, sometimes up to 2 hours) the laptop just shuts off-as if I would unplug the unit without the battery inserted. It is certainly not an overheating problem because the CPU is at 55º c most of the time (a year before the cpu fan was dirty and he has sometimes increased to 90º - but which caused no stops).

  I don't know about electricity here in Thailand - but it seems 220V and they do not use the Earth (at least at the point where I am).
  I use the original Toshiba AC adapter.

  What could be the problem here - is there any solution or the solution to this problem?

  As stone I n not know electricity of the Spain and Thailand, but if you have only this problem with the AC adapter / CC, there are a few differences between the Spain and the Thailand.

  In your case, I will ask the local authorized maintainer in Thailand. For example just give them a call and ask a technician for help. I'm pretty sure, they can give you an answer if you need a new power supply or another outlet.

  Hello, I have a Satellite Pro A30 which has 1 GB RAM and 2.8 GHZ P4 processor. I was wondering when toshiba would provide ACPI compatible BIOS upgrades for these machines? Because I would like to upgrade to Windows Vista, when running the Vista Upgrade Advisor, my machine will work Windows Vista professional, but I just want to use Windows Vista Basic.

  So I started the upgrade of Windows XP, and once the computer is restarted to begin installation of Vista I was faced with the blue screen, indicating that my BIOS is not fully ACPI.

  It seems such a shame that the machine is up to running under Vista, but Toshiba did not provide updates to bios ACPI. My bios version is 1.80.

  Any idea?
