Satellite Pro A300 Touchpad has stopped working

As the title suggests.

My laptop is a Satelltie Pro A300 2 4.

The Touchpad is not responding,

I tried FN F9 - nothing happens.
I tried pressing the upper left corner of the Touchpad - nothing happens.
I tried to go to the mouse control panel and looking for an enable bit Touchpad cannot find the mouse set.

The operating system is Windows 7

Hello

Have you tried to install the driver for the touchpad?
You can find the driver for the touchpad on Toshiba UE driver page.

Extra tip: in some cases possible to enable and disable the touchpad in the BIOS.
Please check this!

By the way: is an external USB mouse attached to the laptop? If so, unplug it and try to use the touchpad

    Hello

The anomaly can be related to different laptop parts in the worst case the liquid spill damage the motherboard and you will need to replace the part.
In the best cases, it could be a RAM error as it happens to one of my friends.
He spilled coke on the keyboard and after awhile the laptop could not turn on.
We checked memory sharp and replaced both modules with new RAM modules and this fixed the problem

You can try this also maybe it helps if all other parts should be checked by a technician of the ASP.

    Hello!

Have you tried to update the driver WLAN? You can find it on the Toshiba site or portal driver WLAN:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

Have you checked for yellow exclamation marks Device Manager?

Check if the laptop WLAN switch lights up and I can disable/enable WLAN with FN + F9 on my Satellite phone.
    Check it!

    Good bye

    Hello guys

My keyboard & touchpad stopped working today.

I tried a restore to an earlier date

    Can anyone help
    PLEASE, I BEG YOU.

    Sounds like a hardware problem.
Try to configure the computer laptop back to factory settings. I guess you have to use an external USB keyboard in case the internal keyboard does not work.

Here is an instruction how to perform a system restore?

  • Satellite Pro 6100: fan has stopped working

I recently decided to copy out all my data from my laptop and it just stopped. It was very very hot, and the hard drive has not worked since. I put a new disc in and installed the software but it heats up really fast. My question is this all a result of the fan (I can't hear more) stop and is it possible to buy a fan and install it myself - I've already cracked it open and got down to the fan and it looks like dust-free. I am pretty handy and want to do it myself.

If the fan is originally where can I buy a replacement?

    Hello

This looks like a laptop computer could overheat.
If you can't hear the fan or cooling module is bad or there is something wrong with the motherboard.

In my opinion, the cooling module must be checked and possibly replaced.
All parts and devices can be controlled from the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country.

Just call the guys and order the compatible part or if you have no experience, ask the guy to help him. I think that you should not replace anything by yourself. It may be damaged anything else. The technicians have more experience and can locate and solve the problem much faster.

    Good luck

  • Satellite A500-1F7 - Touchpad has stopped working

Hello, my touchpad does not work.

Yes its possible, I updated and reinstalled the driver. It actually worked for a few seconds and then stopped again.

    Hope you can help me.
    Thanks and greetings

    Hello

The touchpad does appear in Device Manager correctly or you see a yellow exclamation point?
    What operating system you have?

And have you tested an external mouse? It does not work or shows the same strange behavior?

Theoretically worse that the touchpad could be faulty and needs replacing in such cases, an ASP would help you.

  • Satellite C850-F31Q - touchpad has stopped working

This is the 5th time I use my laptop. (Just for 4 weeks now) My touchpad / mouse pad does not work anymore. I tried to install the new drivers, but still no luck. I'm running of Windies 7 and also have a (thankfully) - wireless mouse but it gives also some problems.

My main concern is that the mousepad on laptop does not work.
    Help, please.

After reading your ad, it is not easy to say what the problem is here. Who knows what's happening with your touchpad?
Are you using the original Windows 7 that you got with your laptop?
You can enable or disable the touchpad by using the FN + F9 key combination?

  • Satellite A200 - touchpad has stopped working

I think that this should be done first of all, you can download the compatible driver since the European driver Toshiba page and could reinstall it.

    Hello

Normally, it should be possible access the BIOS, if you press F2, once you have turned on the laptop. Please check again and load the default settings there.
And you cannot access the BIOS if you shut down the computer.

You can use an external mouse on the laptop? Please check this too.

I've also updated the BIOS on my Satellite A300 but I n t have a problem with the touchpad after the update.

Impossible to restore or reset as it asks password and keyboard does not work

    Hello Graham

Sorry, but your problem is not easy to understand. After reading these two sentences, it is not easy to tell if there is a general problem with the keyboard or what.
When you enter the BIOS settings can use keyboard to scroll through the options and tabs of the BIOS?

Since when did you notice this problem?
You have created a recovery media? If Yes, please try to use it and install original recovery image.
