Satellite Pro L10 - query battery power

Hello

I'm hoping I have a battery problem or my phone is dead.
I wonder I was able to use my L10 Pro of the Satellite with the removed battery and the power cable plugged into the wall?

My laptop has stopped feeding upwards, the charger still has his light, but no power seems to be put into the machine.
If it works without battery in?

see you soon

Of course, you can use your laptop with AC power only.
Remove the battery and check it out.

    Hello...

I'm trying to get a power supply replacement for my two laptops to children, but I can't find what they have for their L10 anywhere. Can anyone suggest what other mobile chargers work correctly?

the charger I have is a PA-1650-02, tosh part PA3396E-1ACA

    Input 100-240v AC 1. 5 a 50-60 hz
Output DC 19v 3. 42A positive inside negative outside on the PIN

I do not know the dimensions of the pin/plug, sorry.

    Someone on ebay said

I have a Toshiba laptop computer, with 19V 3. 42 has output bin, but it does not match one of these amendments part you gave, but may be appropriate. The connector is 5.5 mm outside diameter and 2.5 mm on the inside.

Can anyone tell if it would be appropriate, or alternatively, where I could get 2 of?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

You can order adapters for ASP.
Non-original power adapters can damage the laptop.

  • Satellite Pro L10: AC/battery not recognized

    Hello

Currently, when I have my laptop connected to the AC supply cable, the battery symbol in the taskbar at the bottom right of the screen flashes, switching between the battery icon and the network icon. While this is happening if I type some of my keys are not saved and the mouse gets 'juddery '. If I pull the cable tight against where it connects to the laptop, it remains plugged into mains. This happens sporadically and sometimes (rarely) is ok.

Does anyone have any idea why this might happen? I had the laptop for about 2 1/2 years, so, naturally, that the battery died a little. Not sure it's the battery or cable it charges normally when the laptop is over/under voltage off before.

    Thanks for any info!

    > Anyone has any idea why this might happen?
Maybe it s a contact drop between the power adapter and the power outlet

But it's really not easy to tell without touching the laptop.
I think the laptop technicians could check it and would be able to bring an answer what's exactly wrong.

But in my opinion it s a soft seal.

    Best regards

  • Satellite Pro L10 battery did not reach full charge

On my Satellite Pro L10 battery only reaches 85% charge if leave all night. Is this likely to be a problem with the supply power, circuits inside the computer or charge the battery?

I need to know the best place to start to spend money!

Some experience that may or may not apply to:
-Battery system is around 2.5 years
-The battery lasts about 1 to 1.5 hrs that seems fair considering his age and his level of violence (left connected permanently and not recycled periodically)
-Very recently would not pass, with or without the power adapter connected. Solved by removing AC, then the battery, running on AC, then turn off and reinsert the battery. Everything now works on battery or AC.
-Over problem, system has been itself decommissioned at random. Since the resolution of the problem of market it was not randomly turned off itself, YET!

Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

HM, sounds to me like a hardware problem. But the problem is to understand where exactly the error, if you have the following options:

    * Contact a service partner chartered for a hardwarecheckup and an accurate diagnosis of your machine ([http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=ASP_SUPPORT])
    * You can buy a new battery (since it could be the battery, I guess)
    * You can sell this machine on ebay and buy a new one :)

Hope I could give you some new and fresh ideas. There is almost no other options or solutions, the it s so your choice.

  • Satellite Pro L10 will feed no, no LED display

My satellite pro L10 has suddenly stoped working .There seems to be no power "." No leds work by battery or sector.
    can someone help?
    CJ

    Hello

I recommend first of all check the power adapter and the battery functionality.
But it s very unusual that these two parts are dead at the same time. So I think that has to be something wrong on the motherboard.
Unfortunately, it is not easy to say what's wrong without any detailed Diagnostics.

Therefore, you should ask the ASP to support that in the post above suggested.

  • Can not get my Satellite Pro L10

    Hi James,

Press and hold the 'C' key is a specific shortcut of Toshiba to allow the laptop to boot directly from the CD. However, you can also select the CD-ROM as boot device in the BIOS, just press the F12 key when you see the Toshiba start screen for power over the process and you will be presented with a menu of the device selection. Tab just down to the CD-ROM and press to enter. The laptop computer should now boot from the CD.

  • Satellite Pro L10: BIOS passwords again

    Hello!

Tonight one of my friends brought me his Satellite Pro L10 and asked me to remove the user password, cose she dislikes grasp every time... OK, it's very simple! -I said. I went to the BIOS with the same password, found the supervisor password option and turn off the power. I could not enter the user password option and left him, thinking I'll fix this later... Well...

Can you imagine how I was surprised when the system says - password invalid! More... I tried to go back to the BIOS, but system asked me a password... but I deleted "Supervisor password" well, I typed the old one and it does not again!

Ok. Of course, later, I found the manual for this Satellite Pro L10, I know that it might be preferable to use the Toshiba Console and Toshiba HWSetup could be.

Tell me, please, supervisor password had priority, and now she has to remember his user password?
    Or there is something else?

    Thank you!

I studied a bit on the Toshiba knowledge site (it s very useful and interesting) and found this knowledge base article:

Satellite L10 - setting the BIOS and supervisor passwords
    http://support.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ5300WK001GR01.htm

Check it out. Maybe it helps.

Additional, as I know if is not the BIOS password, you cannot delete it by yourself. Only the service guys are able to remove unknown BIOS password.

  • Satellite Pro L10 does not illuminate

I have a Satellite Pro L10 and it stopped working yesterday. It won't turn on or charge up. No show of lights on the laptop when the charger is connected. I plugged in another toshiba charger but still no luck.

Does anyone have ideas on what could be the problem with it and if it is easily resolved. The laptop is about 2 years old. Thanks for your help

    Hello

Seems not beautiful it is maybe something wrong with the electronic power on the card mother s in this case the motherboard must be replaced to solve this problem

But maybe you are a lucky guy and only the power adapter malfunctioning Yes, I know that you have tested the laptop with another power adapter, but are you sure that the second captain is supported?

Anyway, in my opinion, nobody here can provide a solution exactly because without diagnostic tests we don t know what could be wrong
This is why I recommend to contact the technician of the ASP for a help

  • Satellite Pro L10 and Windows 7 drivers

    Hi guys,.

I'm looking for a set of drivers for the laptop model above. I recently installed Win7, but I have no drivers for the machine at all.
    XP drivers do not work.
If someone managed to install the drivers for this machine? I'm mainly interested in getting my wireless card working.

I look forward to your responses.

Thanks in advance for your responces
    Panos

Satellite Pro L10 is old enough for laptop and I do not think that you will find all the Win7 drivers.
According to the Toshiba - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9902P50000R01.htm - your laptop isn't supported Win7 and find the drivers won't be so easy.

  • Satellite Pro L10-103 - USB ports not working not

Hi, my Satellite Pro L10 - 103 USB Ports do not work. I tried different things and finally my Advisor rubbed my computer clean of all programs and operating system. After reloading of the set up disc and having lost my dear some programs I am no further forward. It still does not.

Anyone know if this means that it is a mechanical problem with the computer? (I use Windows XP). Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey Buddy,

As wrote Akuma did you use the Toshiba Recovery disk or the Microsoft Windows disk?

After installing XP, make sure that Service Pack 3 is installed. It contains important updates and can be downloaded on the official page of Toshiba.

In addition, try to remove all the USB ports on the Device Manager, restart the computer. Ports will still be recognized and ready to use once.

    Hello

    I have a Satellite Pro L10 Celeron M Processor 360 1.4 GHz / XP HE / 256 MB / 40 GB / 15TFT / DVD-CDRW / OneNote. I wanted to upgrade the RAM, and I noticed that in the manual it says:

Before installing a new module memory 512 MB do not forget to remove already installed memory modules.

Does that mean that I can not install a 512 MB module and more the 256 MB is already a total of 768 MB?

    Thanks for any advice,

    Hi Luis,.

The specifications of your laptop indicates that it can accept up to 1 024 MB of RAM. If you have 2 RAM slots, so you can use any combination of modules of RAM as long as you do not exceed the maximum quotes. Of course if you have only 1 RAM slt then you must remove the original 256 MB module before insert you new 512 MB a.
