Hello

I put t know why you can not on the Toshiba site. Maybe it was something wrong with the server. Who knows at this time, I'm able to connect to this site and I m able to download the WLan drivers.

Please see the Toshiba WLan portal for new WLan driver version:

If I install the wireless driver from the download on XP site, no problem.

I tried the same procedure using the download wireless driver on the partition Win7 using a) driver XP b) driver Vista & c) the Vista driver in compatibility mode. Nothing worked and it is even not a yellow exclamation in Device Manager, so the wireless card point don't has not recognized at all.

    Same problem with Ubuntu Linux.

In XP, it is recognized as "INPROCOMM IPN2220 Wireless Lan Card".

    Any ideas?

The entry in Device Manager is right and so must be included in Windows XP Home edition.

  • Satellite Pro L10 - wireless network cards are compatible?

I have now managed to dual boot my older Toshiba L10 with XP and Windows 7.

The existing wireless LAN card is not compatible with the Windows 7 partition and I use an external usb wireless.

Does anyone have recommendations on an internal wireless card I can buy which can replace the existing one and is both compatible with XP and Windows 7 32-bit? Is it easy to replace one card with another?

    Hello

Hardware upgrade on mobile machinery is very limited and most of the information you can get on an upgrade supported for RAM or HARD drive. Upgrade for all other hardware is not supported, so actually there is no info on the hardware compatibility.

  • Re: Satellite Pro L10 - display driver for Win7RC

    Hi-

Were able to successfully install Windows 7RC on the L10. There is a missing video card driver and I can't seem to find it on the download site (XP drivers seem compatible with Win7 because of its XP mode).

Apparently, this has something to do with the graphics card & I get the following message is displayed:

    [http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/webhelp/default.aspx?&mpver=12.0.7100.0&id=C00D1167&contex tid = 61 & originalid = C00D1167]

Someone know where I can find the right driver for it?

    Thank you

    Hello!

Normally, you can find all the drivers for your laptop here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

But it seems that the display driver is available for Windows XP only.

As far as I know that this laptop is equipped with an Intel graphics card so I would check the Intel website for a Windows driver. I'm pretty sure you'll find a driver for Vista (which should work on Windows 7) and perhaps already for Windows 7 also.
    Check it!

  • Loss of wireless connection on Satellite Pro L10

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L10, with wireless capabilities built-in. I recently bought an ADSL Modem Belkin Wireless G Router. My desktop PC can connect to the internet via cable and cannot therefore have my laptop. However, when I connect to the internet via wireless connection my laptop sometimes everything stops. This isn't something to signal that I'm only about 2 feet from the router, and it is not that I can't connect to the internet, as I am on this at the moment. Is that in a few minutes, the connection will be lost and I can't seem to find what I can do about it.

The other problem is that when I click the icon at the bottom right of the screen, the "Wireless network connection" window opens. Here, it shows the wireless network I'm trying to connect and it shows with a strong signal, but it is almost always said not 'connected '. He said never 'connected', even when I am connected to the net and surf away!

Anyone has any ideas at all?

It sounds a little to the Wireless LAN card is unable to obtain a valid IP address.
These interruptions may occur for different reasons.
But especially the new version of the driver Wlan and/or Bios should help resolve these interruptions.

What card Wlan do you use?
If you are using the Intel Wlan card you can also visit the Intel Web site to download the most recent version of the WLan driver.
Please also compare the BIOS version available on the Tosh site with the version preinstalled on your laptop.

Wlan card properties contain some useful options that could improve the quality of the connection. Energy saving options should also be required to check other functions in the tab advanced and disabled.

  • How to use Recovery on satellite Pro L10 with DVD drive broken?

    Hello...

I have a satellite Pro L10, which is virused. I need to recover Windows. Unfortunately, I can not, because the CD/DVD drive is borked.

I tried everything until and including the purchase of a laptop adapter HD, but my desktop computer is not a Toshiba so he does not have the recovery disk.

I've never had to use a "recovery disk" before, so I have no idea how it works - apparently there should be a folder on my hard drive recovery? can someone tell me where I could find it? (I'm quite familiar with the innards of my installation of Windows and have never noticed before). Also, is it possible that this native recovery file has been compromised by my virus?

Default: can it be fixed using an installation of LAN, and if so, could someone point me to instructions? (My BIOS allows booting from LAN, but not USB, which is irritating).

Any other suggestions would be welcome.

    Thank you.

    Hello

First of all you will not be able to use the Toshiba Recovery disk if you cannot use the CD/DVD drive.
Why? Because you need to boot from the CD of recovery if you want to install windows from the CD from Toshiba.

You ask how to boot from LAN?
Well friend; I doubt that you will be able to do.
First of all that this could be possible only if you have a RIS server.
The Remote Installation Services can be installed optionally on Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008.

It's really complicated and not easy for someone who has never done.
If you want you can google a little how to create REEFS but in my opinion it s advisable to buy and compatible CD/DVD drive because the STRANGE can also be used for other purposes

  • Satellite Pro L10 reconstruction from scratch

I need to rebuild a Satellite Pro L10 from scratch:

    Model PSL15E-00U003EN number
    Serial number: X 5137966

I tried the recovery disc, no joy, LAN and wireless both give "limited or no connectivity."
So I tried to reload Windows with a disc of Microsoft, always "connectivity limited or not.
So I downloaded all the drivers.
I rebooted the LAN and wireless drivers, and the modem driver and a few others to heal the yellow "?" in the Device Manager

What to do next? Do I need another driver? I tried the Toshiba Recovery disk and loading Windows 'vanilla '. It's starting to look like a hardware problem, and I suspect that my last resort is to recreate the PC from scratch. A few questions:

    1. is there a complete list of drivers somewhere?
    2. in what order should I load drivers etc?

Ideally, I would like to leave the non-essential elements, so I have a 'standard' windows install.

    Any help gratefully received.
    Simon.

    Hello

already checked your network connection on the side of the router? May be some settings in your router are not correctly defined, or perhaps a few other computers on your network is involved with your Satellite L10.
Please check your computer to another, well-known to the work network and ensure that the machine has also limited connectivity to ensure that it could be a hardware failure.

    Please give some feedback.

    Greetings

  • WLan signal is poor and often loses connection - Satellite Pro L10

I have a Satellite Pro L10 and a home network, where I used two Belkin and Netgear Routers ADSL Wireless.
My L10 always reports very low signal and often loses the signal unless I'm VERY close to the router.
I have three laptops and a desktop at home and they all have very high or excellent signal.

I changed my router and even installed a Netgear wireless card in the L10 (in case there is a problem with the Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG, but he pointed out again and again a weak signal.

    Someone else had this problem?

    Hello

Try please install the latest driver designed by Intel. You can find it on http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df-external/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=1637&lang=eng

  • Satellite Pro L10 and Windows 7 drivers

    Hi guys,.

I'm looking for a set of drivers for the laptop model above. I recently installed Win7, but I have no drivers for the machine at all.
    XP drivers do not work.
If someone managed to install the drivers for this machine? I'm mainly interested in getting my wireless card working.

I look forward to your responses.

Thanks in advance for your responces

Satellite Pro L10 is old enough for laptop and I do not think that you will find all the Win7 drivers.
According to the Toshiba - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9902P50000R01.htm - your laptop isn't supported Win7 and find the drivers won't be so easy.

  • Satellite Pro L10 will not start the system

    Hello!

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L10, which won't work for some reason any.

The last time that I used it, it worked perfectly fine, but now all I get is a black filtered message on "windows starts do not successfully»

It indicates that the computer is not responding and asked me to choose one of the five options - safe mode, safe mode with network, security mode command, last known configuration, prompt or start windows normally.

There is also a 30 second countdown if I do nothing the portable samekh automatically.
It is, none of these things work.

Everything that happens with any option is to a thought very much time on things, then it goes to a black screen with a time/processing bar downstairs, then when that ends it turns itself off, samekh, mw windows page shows (with f2 and f4/f10? options) and the process is repeated.

He did about 50 times now and still nothing.
I tried the command ctrl/alt/del, I tried to turn if off and try again, I even opened the f options but I don't know enough about computers to do more.

    Help, please!

If possible I would like to get the computer on long enough to verify what documents I have on this subject before I can back up (if necessary) and restore it to the factory settings (as I predicted), or if this is not possible, I do not think that there is a lot to lose in this respect in any case, am prepared to take it all back to factory if necessary. I have all necessary installation CD and manuals to go with.

hope this makes sense and I gave you all you need to know.

    Thanks, B

It seems that the laptop is not able to boot the system, but I m not quite sure if it s because of the defective system or HARD drive corruption.
If it s just a system problem, the installation of the new Windows operating system should help you to get it resolved.

In case the HARD disk is defective, you need to replace the HARD drive and reinstall the system.

  • Can not get my Satellite Pro L10

I have a satellite pro l10, I tried to put my recovery disk in and she said keeping key c down when I start my computer but it does, nt work, how do I get this drive to work does anyone have an idea, s Please

    Hi James,

Press and hold the 'C' key is a specific shortcut of Toshiba to allow the laptop to boot directly from the CD. However, you can also select the CD-ROM as boot device in the BIOS, just press the F12 key when you see the Toshiba start screen for power over the process and you will be presented with a menu of the device selection. Tab just down to the CD-ROM and press to enter. The laptop computer should now boot from the CD.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite Pro L10 - need drivers XP

    I recently did a new install of Windows XP Pro on my new HARD drive and got a list of other devices of the yellow question marks on them. They are;

    -Controller Audio multimedia
    -PCI Modem
    -Video controller
    -Video controller (VGA Compatible)

Anyone know how I can get the drivers for these devices that I can not find an any of them on the Toshiba downloads/support page

    I had a Satellite Pro L10.

    Hello

The laptop Satellite Pro L10 is an OLD series.
Drivers and tools have been moved to the area of _ARCHIVE_ on the European driver Toshiba page.
Recommend to check this area for some XP drivers!

  • Satellite Pro L10: Question about saving the files on a CD

Please can someone tell me how I can save a typed document (produced in Word or similar) on the CD? I don't have a floppy drive on my satellite pro L10 portable. Have 'saved' music using the immediate recording before, but now need to record your actual work on the hard disk for transport to a pc with access to a printer.

When I tried it told me incorrect function, contact administrator (that's me!) I tried CD - R and CD - RW discs and neither would not let me save the file on it. would be grateful for any advice regarding this.

    Thank you

    Hi Roy,

First of all, you will ned to ensure that you have enabled logging on oprical drive you. For this a right-click on the CD-ROM in my computer icon and then selecting "properties-> recording. Make sure that "Enable CD writing on this drive" is checked.

Once you have done the above, you can simply drag the documents that you want to copy on the CD-ROM icon in my computer.

Note that the burning process does not happen immediately. Windows caches the files to be placed on your hard drive first and then you can burn all documents cached only once.

Alternatively, you may find that some third-party software has been bundled with your portable computer, which performs a similar function the standard Windows CD burn software.

    Kind regards

  • Intermittent WiFi on Satellite Pro L10 D WAP - Link

Equipment: new Satellite Pro L10 with Centrino & integrated Intel Pro 2200BG wifi and D-Link DWL2100Ap wireless access point. The new laptop works on the neighbor's wireless network (all day), and my Sony notebook working on our D-Link network based. However the new Toshiba works for awhile the first thing in the day (maybe 2 hours) and then stops working at an increasing rate. The afternoon he will not work for more than about one second.

For most, however, the icon says that it is connected and free config says that it is connected; See her ranges from wireless networks - different bits of the system are in disagreement on the status of the connection, but no data flow.

The D - link WAP has always said he has the Toshiba as a customer. Select 'repair' normally runs for a second or two.

He always seems to have a number allocated IP, IPCONFIG - however, if I try to connect later in the day and is already having an IP address, it may not stay connected for long enough to get a.

    Very frustrating. Any help appreciated.

    Hello

    Well it s very strange.
You said that the work of laptop on the neighbouring s wireless very well.
In this case I n t think that it s a problem with wireless network card.
Try to check your router settings.
Maybe you can compare your settings with the neighbors.
