Satellite Pro L100 132 broken badly - how to check?
Well, here you have it: I dropped to the bottom of my laptop on the floor cement, some three weeks after buying, but it still works! (It's a Satellite Pro L100 132) With technicians, we ordered the necessary parts: plastic covers around the screen and the keyboard.
No other problems are visible (I actually use the little guy at the present time, it behaves as usual), but you never know. So, my question: what are the problem areas that I need to check that everythings continues to work very well? And how can I archive them actually?
I have heard things on the HARD drive, but not in details. In fact it was the fault of all stupid of the bag, it slipped right on my shoulder.

The original memory of our laptop (Satellite Pro L100-132) is 512 MB.
I bought an extra memory to 1 GB (type has been verified in the product documentation).

The error message looks like a death or a bad RTC battery.
You should try to charge the battery (plug the AC adapter / CC)
Try to enter the BIOS setup and check all options. You can set the BIOS default settings.

I'm hoping to find some more info if I can. I have a Satellite Pro L100 and I got it for about 15 months, for the second time again the lid cracks around the hinge area, it is now out of warranty! I know that I need to replace the lid and the affair around the screen, but I need to replace the hinges as well?

I also suggest exchanging the hinges, too, because the material probably weakly started and I think that if you simply exchange the cover and the case, you will have the same problem after a while.
The new hinges should be harder and last longer...

My Satellite Pro M70-132 have problems with Wi - Fi connections (WiFi built in)... Generally, when the connection is excellent (indicator of windows), the pings are slow - very long time: 1212ms, 325ms, 645ms, 2112ms, 91ms, s 168ms... etc 'demand time limit has expired' (or sth like this).

I am looking at a Satellite Pro L100 and there are lines from top to bottom on the screen. These are very thin, but boring. IN some cases, the screen is totally blank.

I think Al - eX is right. This sounds like a broken LCD cable and it must be exchanged. But for other diagnostics, you can connect an external monitor. You may notice the same problem there? If this is not the case, replace the LCD cable.

I currently have a laptop Satellite Pro L100-125, that I've had for a few years now.

The point is that you could buy a new a lot harder for laptop with the best hardware specifications for about 400-500 euros.
I don't have no idea how the fix would cost, but if the screen or motherboard would have died then the repair process could be a costly affair because the display and motherboards are more expensive laptop parts

I have a satellite Pro L100. I had for about 2 years.
On the first day, I had problems with plastics in the screen and the "lid" two cracks they been replaced twice.
Today already, I need to buy a new one but I run problems trying to find part numbers.
I know as L100 model number but they keep asking for a number three-digit and I have no idea where to find it.

I have problems replacing my laptop to a Toshiba Satellite Pro L100 keyboard. I adapted my laptop with a keyboard replacement brand new, it is detected by windows. But when I press any button, nothing happens.
It was the same problem with my previous keyboard. There is nothing broken inside the laptop or the clip that I can tell. But I can't understand why it does not work since I installed the keyboard properly.

On the Toshiba site I downloaded the BIOS update. While installing I read that it was necessary to supply cable is plugged. Before I could cancel for the cable, he had started and then frozen. The computer stopped working and so I turned it off! Since then, I've read that it was a very big mistake!

Seems not good buddy from your description, that something went wrong during the update procedure and now the ROM module has been flashed properly.
Maybe you area lucky man and the motherboard isn't too bad, but only the Rom module must be flashed again.
