Satellite Pro L300 - 23L: error 12 in device after Vista Manager install

Ok

So I re-installed Vista (32 w / SP2) on my Satellite L300 - 23 L after a virus and I'm having some problems:

Question n ° 1
A Code of 12 on Intel Chipset Family 4 - there are two versions of the present in the Device Manager, we hide. One who is not hidden is the one with the Code 12. I tried to install the latest drivers from Toshiba and Intel. Problem persists.

2nd edition
Sleeping on my judgment of the section is dimmed and the Hibernate option is missing altogether. Have you tried upgrading the BIOS, but install says that they are up-to-date.

Help! -I can find my way around a computer, but don't assume I will not know how do something, I would appreciate it if you could guide me through all the actions.

Thanks in advance. :)

According to the specifications of your Satellite L300 laptop came with VISTA 32 BIT HOME PREMIUM.
Have you installed original image recovery or your own version of the OS?
I mean with original Vista you have with your laptop you should not have these problems.

I bought a Satellite Pro L300-152, model without PSLB1E-01R015EN with Vista 32 bit a few months ago to replace an old Toshiba laptop not.

The problem I have is that I can't connect external devices such as TV, projector, or a monitor.
I used another laptop in the past with my TV and projector and have had no problems at all. I connected via the VGA port, as it is the only port with the exception of USB. Using a VGA cable, I tried all the settings that I have used in the past, but with no joy.

I tried to solve this problem for months and need help, please.

This means that the laptop can not pass the POST (power on self test) properly and it would mean that a hardware problem has been detected on the motherboard.

Remove one of the modules RAM (check both) and try to turn on using a single module of RAM.
It is possible that one of the RAM modules is defective

It would also be possible that the motherboard is malfunctioning, as you can see, it is hard to say what role could be wrong, but what looks like a serious hardware failure

    Hi all.

Satellite Pro L300-152 of the Vista 32 SP2.

This laptop was gave me to try to repair (another instance of stolen suicide Vista).
After retrieving the system (no re - install wasn't necessary), I would like to create a disc of recovery for the owner.

However, when I try to run the "Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator", I get an 'Error' window with the following message is displayed "an unexpected error has occurred. Exit this application and start it again. (Error code: 1100 00000002-48-8). Of course restarting the application generates another identical message.
No one knows what could be the cause of this error and how do I create a recovery for this notebook drive.

    Take care of all.

    Mike

    Hello

This error message usually appears because the non compatible CD or DVD.
I think you should first check if there is an ODD firmware update.
On the Toshiba European page driver you might find updates firmware for different CD/DVD drives.

You should check your CD/DVD drive and a compatible firmware is available, then you need to update this
If there is no update firmware, then you must try different discs from different manufacturers to create a recovery disk.

  • Satellite Pro L300 - WiFi feature has been removed

Hi, I'm not a technique very girlie, so bear with me please :_)

Yesterday, I received Virginmedia modem & wireless router connected. The guy on the left until I'm online but when I tried, I found that my Satellite Pro L300 wireless function has been deleted. I tried to use the rescue disk, but I get an error message saying "ACPI ATK0100 Kernel Mode Driver' absent." I can't even connect to the internet with an ethernet cable & when I checked the Windows my laptop's side went from 3.1 to 1.0!

Is that what I can do to correct this situation myself or should I leave in a repair shop?

    It is indeed very frustrating.
All responses are warmly appreciated .x

Boarder's right. At first check if the LAN and WLAN cards are installed properly.
Go to control panel > system > on the left side, click on Device Manager and check the entries under network adapters.

    Please report the status.

  • Satellite Pro L300 29V - hard drive is dead

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-29V only about 2 months, and suddenly the hard drive (very full) is apparently dead.

Initially the laptop starts Windows correctly, but now the HD is not yet recognized in the BIOS. If it goes beyond the Toshiba splash screen, I get the thing PXE saying "a cable is unplugged. I tried to re-allocation of places the reader twice, but still nothing.

It's really disturbing, because I had transferred recently practically my whole LIFE on it on other computers which many many many hours of musical recordings that I can't really afford to lose.

I think I'll have to buy a HD dock and see if I can read and copy the data.

Does anyone else have this problem? It is likely that the drive could have been erased?

I should also mention that a day or two before this happened, my girlfriend was using etc. Open Mobile (Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word,) - computer I pressed the power button that normally makes hibernate - and when I turned it back, rather than resume where he left off, the computer started from zero and no work/windows were saved.

I'm afraid that might be some stupid day, Avira, or on the Windows updates without end that has damaged something...

EDIT: OK, I have a picture of the error I received before complete failure, but I can't download it here. Here is the text (on a blue screen):

A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is installed correctly.
If it is a new installation, ask your hardware manufacturer or software, the windows updates, you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading. If you need to use safe Mote to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.
