  I have a Toshiba SP L300-1AQ.

  In the last month we started having problems with it quit unexpectedly, even on power outlet.
  This morning I used it for about a half hour. When I started the battery level was 39% full, so I plugged it into the outlet. The fire area on the front of the laptop came and taskbar in Windows icon showed it was plugged and load (battery light was orange).

  After half an hour, I checked the battery and it was down to 16%. I turned down the brightness of the screen to try to reduce energy consumption, but less than a minute at the level of the battery was down to 15%. The toolbar icon and power lights both still power showing tasks. The power adapter was cold to the touch. I expect that it is hot. It seems to me that the power adapter does not provide enough power to run the laptop and recharge the battery. If the laptop is in sleep mode, the battery may charge.

  We need a new power adapter?

  It's really hard to say what the reason is but first of all, I think its hardware problem and not software related.
  Maybe the card mother doesn t charge battery problem more or the AC/DC adapter is defective. So can you test another adapter AC/DC to a friend for example? It would be interesting to know because if an AC/DC adapter works it seems to be a problem with the motherboard.

  I don t have Satellite Pro L300, I only Satellite L300 but it works really well and I can t notice a problem with the battery charging. It s all ok again :)

  Realtek RTL8187B 802. 11b / g 54Mbps USB 2.0 disapperd after restart and material unknown adapter USB2.0 come after the reboot of Vista SP1.
  Today, a day after Realtek RTL8187 come back again after the reboot. I didn't work yesterday after the restart from there.

  You have installed some Microsoft updates or done something that may be responsible for this strange question?

  Have you tried to restore OS hour earlier before it started?

  I received my new Satellite Pro L300 tonight & followed the instructions one by one. Although the power etc. lights were turned on, I had no monitor display at all. I then plugged on my old pc monitor who * fact * work. I tried pressing Fn + F5 but still nothing on the screen of the laptop?

  I think you need to bring your laptop to an ASP. They can check your laptop and exchange all necessary parts.
  I think that your laptop is under warranty, if the repair is free for you :)

  Really bad, my old PC and laptop can connect to my external monitor to 1920 by 1080, which is the native resolution of the screen, even made my Xbox 360. But won't my Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-291, it tops out at 1680 by 1050 and will not display anything higher. I tried the latest drivers without success. What is a physical limitation on the laptop?

  -Check the user manual and
  -Check out the features of your graphics card

  Then you will find information which screen resolutions are supported and not. In addition, don t compare it with other laptops or devices. Not all laptops are the same, there are different hardware, etc.

• Satellite Pro L300 PSLB1E - how to install the package added value?

  I tried to update the value added package on my machine, I followed the instructions and removed my previous version and same clean your pc with ccleaner and tune up Utilities 2009 running but everytime I go to install new value-added package I get the previous version the same message delete first in the add and remove programs list.

  I deleted this checked and double checked add and remove and it is not the case to be found, but still without success installing the new software.

  Can someone help me solve this issue?

  You have restarted your laptop after removing the VAP system?

  I have updated VAP on several laptops and have never noticed anything like that.
  After removing the VAP system new version was always installed correctly.
  I imagine that something is still in the registry.
  You can check it out and try to remove manually.
  Search all entries from value of Toshiba and remove it.

  If this does not all you can do is to install the new OS using recovery image. After the new installation remove VAP, restart your computer and install the latest version.

  Hi guys/girls,

  A friend brought their Pro L100 round for me because after an accident, they used recovery DVD re - install XP, but the machine does not start now it keeps giving an error "missing ntoskrnl.exe", I tried to re - install XP myself since the recovery DVDs and get the same, it goes through all install it without error, but always get the same error when restarting.

  I know that's not material that I can install ubuntu fine and it works OK.

  I don't know all these laptops and am at a bit of a loss, have spent hours going through google, FAQ and these forums but have had no luck (maybe not looking for the right thing :-)

  Am I missing something obvious?

  Or will I be super dense today?

  If I understand correctly, you used the recovery CD from Toshiba that was provided with this laptop. You didn t use a restore CD that has been created for another series of laptop. Am I wrong?

  I ask because the fact is that the laptop should work perfectly, without any trouble after using the recovery CD.

  You have an original CD of Microsoft XP?
  If so, use it. Format the HARD drive first, delete all partitions and try reinstalling the operating system from the CD of XP Ms.

  I have a Satellite L300, who will not get past the POST or the Toshiba start screen. It says to press F2 to enter setup or F12 for the boot sequence, but by pressing buttons does nothing and nothing happens - it just stays there. the HARD drive activity light flashes for a few seconds, then stops.

  I tried the new RAM and a HARD drive different, both with the connected power and battery alone without success!

  Hmm, I think that you have tried everything you can do, and in my opinion, it seems to be a hardware malfunction. Maybe it s related to the motherboard, CPU, module ROM or something else
  I think that your laptop should be verified professional people to get rid of this problem.

  If you did an upgrade in Place your music files should still be there. If you did a clean installation from scratch, they will have been removed.

  If you have made a backup before hand (always recommended) or if you have a recent backup, you should be able to restore that. Also, if all goes well, there will be a folder "windows.old" on your PC, which must contain your old music files in folders that they were originally in. Find the folder "windows .old" and navigate in Explorer windows (not IE) to see if you can find them. If you can COPY them to where you want.
