  Hi mates,

  I have a Satellite U305 running Windows Vista, I also bought a VGA Dynadock with HP 20 "external monitor.

  I have uppdated all Dynadock readers (Audio, video, etc.) to the latest version, but DVD-video or MPEG video recorded with my camera is not possible to look at the monitor extended that in the main screen (laptop computer monitor).

  For example, my DVD Toshiba drive works normally on the laptop monitor but when I transfer window extended monitor, Toshiba DVD Player stops to work.
  Video does not work on the extended screen.

  I agree with the snipe of the user. The dynadock is simply not designed to transfer the enormous amount of data that accumulate to watch movies on DVD.
  The USB ports are simply not designed for this

  Since I downloaded a bunch of updates from MS, I'm able to play any video.  As soon as the video starts, I get a black window and restart my computer.  I tried a bunch of dates in the system restore to get a message that it cannot be done.  I went to Ms. Mr. Fix it and discovered that Windows Media Player 11 does not work with Nero.  I had already deleted Nero, but did a search and found a bunch of files for Nero.  I deleted and then returned and he ran hard and used the "automatically fix problems."  A list has come to say that everything has been fixed.

  I tried another video, but it's the same thing.  So I restarted the fix, but this time the 'auto' is gray and all I had left to choose was "looking for problems and I will fix.  It came with a Nero codex.  I chose to delete it, but which has not yet fixed the problem.

  I was wondering if I can just re - install Media Player 11 - I can't seem to delete it again.  I get a message that it goes back to a previous version, which was 10 - but I'm still on display 11.

  I really don't know what else to try.  Any suggestions?

  Might be interesting to try to do a Safe Mode system restore.

  Tried Pinnacle and free software that do not work. Texas Instruments 1394 OHCI driver exists and works OK.

  When I connect my Toshiba S1410-802 to LCD data projector and I start all the video (in WMP and other programs) that I see on the wall are black video window but all around is displayed correctly (i.e. desktop and other windows open). On laptop, video screen appears correctly. In summary: I can watch videos on laptop, but when I switch to the projector I see everything except the video (black window)! Any guess?

  I'm not 100% sure but I think you cannot watch video on the screen LCD and the external device at the same time and you can watch it on the LCD screen or an external display only.

  Please test. As far as I know this is a technical limitation.

  Tried force quit.

  What happened to restart? When you restart your mac, the process begins again.

  Another option is abandonment of the process with the terminal. Just search in google for it.

  I have a Satellite Pro L40 PSL4BE and have just upgraded to Windows 7. Since the upgrade I can no longer use the function key and the top and down arrows to control the volume. Keys F6 F7 & still control the brightness so I don't know the function key still works.

  Anyone know if it is a driver problem or nobody knows how to solve this problem?

  You need to install the package of value added for Satellite Pro L40. This package contains all the necessary drivers for the FN keys. Then please install or update VAP if you have already installed an earlier version.

  You should keep one fact in mind that the available screen resolution depends on the graphics card and the graphics card driver.
  If I'm not mistaken, you can find the max somewhere graphics card resolution information in the user manual.

  But note; If the graphics card driver does not support you favorite resolution then you will not be able to use and to choose!

  In the properties of the graphics card, you can find the available screen are supported by GPU driver resolutions.
  Usually these resolutions could be used on the external monitor, but only if the external monitor takes care of everything.

  I have a Satellite Pro A60 and when I turn on the machine, the lights come on and the fan whirls for about 5 seconds and then the machine just turns off again.

  No matter if I have the battery or HARD drive in or not, the same phenomenon occurs.
  I guess it's problem of CPU or power supply Board, but I don't know.
  Is there anyone else who has had this problem and if so how is it resolved?

  Any help would be appreciated very with gratitude that I am out of warranty and need the laptop when you work from home.

  I guess it can be a single processor or card mother related issue.
  If there is something wrong with the power supply for laptop card then the cell phone would not turn on, even for 5 sec.

  But it's only my personal suggestion to make sure what's exactly wrong check specifications should be necessary.

  So I think that a laptop computer technician should check it out.

  In collaboration with CC PP since it came out and have had almost no problems. Now I have a head scratcher. I can't drag a video clip from the project to sequence Panel. The audio comes but video won't. All I get is the hand with a line through it, when I tap all video tracks. The clips play fine in the source monitor, but still can not drag source to sequence either. Tried with clips of several projects and cameras but no go. Started a new project, another name, folder and images, always have the problem.

  There are 2 possible solutions to this problem:

  1. Make sure that you highlight V1 the one on the left side of the header of the track. See the help on the correction of the source and track targeting.
     • It is a problem of general workflow.
     • Please patch tracks before editing clips on this track.
  2. Delete the in and out marks on the timeline before you drag the file to the timeline.
     • It is a bug.
     • You should be able to slip into the clips even if in and out marks are in the timeline panel.
     • We are working on a fix for the next version.

• Satellite Pro A110 PSAB1C: can't choose certain resolution external display

  I have Pro A110 PSAB1C-GM60XE with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (Controller graphic memory integrated Intel 945GM Chipset) running Windows 7 Enterprise.
  Graphics driver is up to date.

  We got 20 "external monitor wide screen HD.
  When it is used as external screen it allows only up to 1280 x 1024. The display is nice streched out.

  I tried the monitor of one laptop another the same graphics card (integrated memory graphics controller Intel 945GM Chipset), also Windows 7 Enterprise.
  The same version of the graphics driver. This laptop has resolution up to 1600 x 900.

  Any ideas on what needs to be done on A110 Pro to support the resolution 1600 x 900 for the external monitor?

  Available external display resolution depends on the graphics chip and the driver graphics card.
  If the graphics chip or the graphics driver doesn t card supports the preferred external resolution, you will not be able to choose.

  It seems that the graphics chip will support this resolution.
  In such cases, it s a driver problem.

  Therefore, it would be advisable to download and install the driver from the Intel page.
  I had the similar problem in the past. The driver of Toshiba page didn t supports my favorite external resolution. I got the driver from Intel page and was able to chose him.

  Can you please tell me what model of laptop you have? Is this other older or the new brand? As much as I know this option is not available on all Toshiba laptops. On my Tecra I'm not able to use this option, but I know with certainty that on some cell phones, something like this is possible.
