Satellite Pro L40 PSL43E - need drivers for sound card for XP

Bought the PSL43E model Toshiba Satellite Pro L40, configured with Vista. Our Application does not work on Vista, had to downgrade to XP Pro. Impossible to find suitable Sound Driver for XP Pro. Any suggestions?

Hello

I think that the laptop must support the audio chip high-definition Intel HDA (Azalia) ADI AD1986A.

Check Intel page for the compatible driver or you would use the audio driver for the * series Satellite L40 PSL40E * or * series Equium L40 PSL41E *.

Good bye

I think that the laptop supports Atheros 11 b/g wireless network card, so you will need to install the Atheros Wlan driver.

    See this Toshiba WLan Portal:

    Hi softrice,

On Windows XP, and high-definition sound cards, to install two hotfixes first before you can install the sound card driver:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/835221
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/888111

These fixes are included in the SP3 so alternative, you can install this rather unique updates.

  • Satellite Pro L40 PSL25E need CD/DVD TS-L462C driver

I have a Satellite Pro L40 PSL25E and need to reload the driver for a TSST TS-L462C T010 integrated CD/DVD unit.

Can someone tell me where to get the driver and how to load it.
The audit on the web, they talk about the so-called 'flash' using the for install?

The only way I know about installing drivers is the Device Manager (which tells me that my driver is missing or damaged).
    The windows version is XP.

    Please can someone help.

Do you need a driver for the reader of CD/DVD TS-L462C?

Sorry, but the driver doesn't exist. The Windows operating system uses the Microsoft own driver. These drivers are already provided in the Windows operating system and a 3rd party driver is really not necessary.

May I ask what's wrong with the TS-L462C drive?

    Hello

On this forum, I founded a few guys with the same problem. I assume that your laptop is to South America. Am I right about that?

I checked support US the site and unfortunately your laptop model is not listed there. I'm afraid you must identify the hardware components and try to use the drivers from the site of technical support to the United States.
Sorry, but I don't see any other solution

  • Satellite Pro L40 PSL43E I need to find all the drivers XP

I need to find all the XP drivers for this laptop in particular. Any ideas where I can find them. on this site, I get only the ' how downgrade "Pease help ASAP.

If these drivers are available, you will be able to find these drivers on the European driver Toshiba page.

If the drivers are not available on the European driver Toshiba page, the pilots were not released.

But I have a suspicion; I found some XP for Sat L40 series drivers. Some series supports the same devices and so the drivers should work also.
Check some unique XP from different L40 series drivers and maybe he would go.

  • Satellite Pro P300-1FP: need drivers Windows XP

    HI -.

just bought a Toshiba Satellite Pro P300-1FP.

Came with Vista installed. I would like to use XP instead.

The aircraft crashed the first time I tried to install XP.
I looked online and found that I needed to change the BIOS settings to work around this (SATA, "AHCI" to "compatibility").

This and that the installation worked fine, but there are a lot of missing drivers, for example for the sounds, graphics, ethernet, wi - fi, etc..
This leaves me in a difficult position since I am currently unable to connect to the internet to look for the missing drivers missing drivers.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thank you very much

    Alan.

OK buddy, I want to help you

First of all he must know that your Satellite Pro P300-1FP belongs to the series of PSPC9E
You can find the Win XP drivers for this series on the European driver Toshiba page.

    Hello

Your laptop satellite L50-B05D belongs to the PSKTAA series and this series was only released in Australia.

But the similar series of portable Satellite L50 - B PSKTAE is released in Europe.
The drivers of the EU Toshiba driver page should be compatible.

  • Re: Satellite Pro L500-196: what drivers for Windows XP

    Hi all!

I just bought a satellite Pro L500-196 that comes with installed Windows7.

However for the use of the older software I need for my work, I want to install Windows XP from my old laptop.
I want to configure a dual-boot environment, so I use Win7 for most of the time, but be able to boot XP, whenever I need to.

The support page for this model lists 96 drivers for Windows XP for this model.
Which of these drivers do I need?
And there at - it instructions in the order in which to install them? Or can I download/order a cd (or cd-image) with all the drivers for Windows XP

As far as I know, after you install Windows XP on a second partition, I need a DVD of Windows7 installation to fix the boot manager.
    Otherwise WinXP sill only start.
My laptop came without such a DVD, there is just a recovery partition.
Is it possible to use recovery system to make Win7 start again or do I really need a DVD of Win7?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jürgen from Germany

    > The support page for this model lists 96 drivers for Windows XP for this model.
    > Which of these drivers do I need?
There is no required special installation order
But I would start with common as drivers:
Display driver, driver LAN, Wlan driver, Modem driver, card reader controller, driver for the touchpad, etc..

The driver control must be installed before the controls (utility).
    Try it simply.

    > As far as I know, after you install Windows XP on a second partition, I need a DVD of Windows7 installation to fix the boot manager.
This is right. I had the same problem with Vista and the boot Vista DVD to repair the Vista Boot Manager

    > Is it possible to use recovery system to make Win7 start again or do I really need a DVD of Win7?
Not because it s not the same thing.
The recovery image will format the HARD drive and partitions and will delete the installed Win XP.

  • Satellite Pro L40 PSL43E: How update BIOS

    Hello

I hope someone can help please?

My Sat Pro L40 was entering into an infinite loop of BSOD, and I think I This reduces up to an update of the BIOS that I need.

I downloaded the correct one for my laptop model: PSL43E.

I saved on the desktop and extract the files to a folder on the desktop.

The instructions on this site say run the *.exe file

I see only 2; that which is a small file winflash.exe.manifest and the winflash (and has an icon of chip next to him) to research in the properties of this file, it says it's an .exe file so I tried to run it.

File pos up to with the "is it the right of a warning" I click ok and about 15 seconds later, a box appears looking for a file name and in the name of box says "here for the Fill bios image file.

I'm at a loss what to do next because I can't get the update of the BIOS works properly.

The laptop opens in safe mode on a user account inactive that I've never used (it does not open in safe mode in my own user account and enter the BSOD loop).

    Help, please!

    Great tips Maurice! ;)
