Satellite Pro L450D started to freeze often enough

Hello.

My Satellite L450D Pro Windows 7 running began to freeze a lot. I have re-installed DVD of restoration to try to restore from a hidden partition failed.
Installation seemed to go OK, but when laptop running continued to freeze occasionally.
I ran HDD tests, memory tests & tests CPU Toshiba diagnostics & ultimate boot cd, no reported problem.

The event log indicates that "the driver has detected an error in the IDE oucederomsurlesecondport IDE 1, event ID 11 controller." This event repeats every few minutes.
I downloaded and installed the latest HWSetup files, but no difference. Then, I walked past and BIOS under controller SATA AHCI to compatibility. What seems to have prevented these messages error, but from what I read this parameter is incorrect for win7. I always get some error messages on the start/stop, but no mention of atapi.

The messages are now
SCRegset ValueEXWcall failed for action failed with the following error: access is denied.
Display is not active
CPLIB-general-no parameter valid
Automatic configuration service WLan has stopped successfully.
Windows has detected that your registry files are still in use.

I would love advice on where first untangle my problem
Thank you
Dave

It seems that the problem of CD/DVD device or controller problem where the CD/DVD drive is connected.

What you could do is to remove the CD/DVD of the STRANGE Bay drive and might try to start Notepad Satellite without the optical disc drive connected.
If the issue seems always, the problem could be linked to the motherboard controller.

    Hello

whenever I tried to start my Satellite PRO L450d-12 x it shows me,
    STATUS: 0XC00000E9
Info: An unexpected i/o error has occurred.

    Have idea how to fix?
    I'd much appreciate help.

    Hello

Can you please tell us what exactly happens when you start your laptop?

There is obviously a problem in common between the hardware connected to the motherboard. It may be the HARD drive. Of course, it is not easy to say what exactly is the problem.

If there is no problem for you to install OS again once I recommend you set the BIOS to default settings and install original OS that you got with your laptop. It's simple and the best method to check the operation of the equipment with the factory settings.

If this will not help, I assume that there is a serious hardware problem.

  • Satellite Pro L450D - start/stop the fan, constantly power

    Hello

I recently bought this laptop, and the fan is driving me crazy, whenever the CPU reaches 55 c, fan lights up really high for a few seconds, until the temperature goes down to 45 c, the fan turns off completely, then the cycle repeats indefinitely.

I changed the method of cooling for optimized battery and has no effect - http://jkontherun.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/toshiba-nb205-power-options.jpg?w=418&h=448

Why can't the fan stay on permanently @ 30% of the load and thus negating the need for it ramp up to 100% to each time the processor overheats.

I can't believe such a simple little question like this still exists.

As I can see for hip's maximum performance. If you use your laptop computer with the AC adapter / CC assign battery optimized too.
This will reduce the cooling fan activity.

  • Satellite Pro L450D - 12 X at turns on

First of all, Hello to everyone.
I have the weirdest problem ever with my satellite pro L450D - 12 X.

There's the laptop has not turn once when I pressed the power button, a few lights led lights and kicking in the fan for a few seconds and nothing.
It seemed that it was on but the screen was completely empty.
I then turned it and turn it on again and it worked as usual.
A few days later, he did the same thing, but he did not come until the 3rd attempt it turn on and off.

As time passed, it took more time and more time to get the thing to kick and actually start.
There are no other problems. All of a sudden, I found myself sitting there for about 30 minutes by train to start, turning it works, but nothing works. I looked online and tried all sorts of things, but nothing has worked.

I took apart to see if I could see all the problems, but everything went well... but as I put it all back together, it worked again - I did not move anything. I got with the laptop with a couple of days and then all of a sudden it started to do even once, until it lights all new (it did not last long this time however).

I recently participated AGAIN and cleaned up a bit, and it's the same thing, this has worked two or three times and then denied comes on.

    What's happening on Earth?
Why it only works for a while after I remove all the screws and look at the motherboard?
It's as if he's happy when I'm looking at him--it's like a needy teenager, trying to get "like" on facebook.
I can't keep opening up just to get a value of days of use out of it... It's driving me crazy.

Anyone know what could be the problem? I have tried to format the HARD drive too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

To be honest I have don t think that someone here in the forum would be able to say exactly why this happens. My first thought was that a problem of memory could be responsible for this dysfunction, but given that the laptop could be activated after a certain time, I suppose a motherboard or CPU issue would be the troublemaker.

I guess there is no other method of troubleshooting to replace the affected parties and to check if the question seems once again, or could be resolved.

Of course, if you wish, you can also visit the technician from downtown just to perform certain diagnostic tests.

Sorry mate for this general view, but it of really difficult to talk about these hardware problems.

  • Satellite Pro L450D-12 X - Wireless card in the process of disappearance

    Hi guys,.

So, I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro (L450D-12 X) in my possession.

She has 8 installed inside windows (but came pre-installed with windows 7).

The problem I face is that, suddenly, the wireless still endangered, literally as no wireless card exists - but there is a wireless card.

I was able to fix it by reinstalling windows 8 OS. It worked only for a little while and then it disconnects / disappears. No wireless in the "map settings" icon Only the "ethernet" adapter
Cannot search or browse for wireless network either.

Since the fix above was not permanent, started the service that controls the card wireless among others who are associated with what this either wireless (don't remember the name) - it worked again.

Now it has stopped. Well, I'm not with the laptop at the time, I said there and all attempts to restart the service via the phone, does not provide any solution.

    Any ideas guys?

    All responses appreciated.

Problem is that your laptop model is NOT supported for Win8.
What WLAN driver have you installed?
    Where did you find?

When you are faced with this problem wireless network card is listed in the Device Manager?

  • Satellite Pro L450D - 12 X - CPU upgrade

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L450D - 12 X and I was wondering which processors 'Dual Core' support this laptop for a CPU upgrade?

Have a read of other peoples threads, it is possible for the laptop to have an upgrade, but I'm not sure of what those who actually support. The most common dual core would be the dual core 'Stalk' However, there are many processors that go under the name "stalk".

I was also wondering if all Toshiba L450Ds have the same motherboard etc... because they contain the same case and (mostly) graphics card

    Thank you very much

I assume that you have already read this Toshiba doesn't support CPU upgrade and a public document on processors compatible doesn t exist.
You can just hope that someone has an identical identical machine with the hardware platform and can offer some info on these updates.

For best performance, you can start with the RAM upgrade. Have you upgraded RAM to max level?

  • Satellite Pro L450D No. bootening

Satellite Pro L450D running win 7, works very well Saturday night, close properly, go into start, Sunday morning, no chance.

It gets so far into the boot, display win7 logo animated, then quickly flashes a blue screen (too quick to see) then goes back to start again, tried to repair, using the disc for win 7, gets so far and goes black screen with cursor... Tried a new installation, you can load files and then comes back to the black screen.

No ideas, nothing what-so-ever in hardware or software. Bet that this will be expensive.

    To appreciate a few pointers

    Hello

Looks like hardware problem, but it of difficult to say what role could be assigned exactly.
I think you should first check the HARD disk.
Download the tool called Drive Fitness Test and run tests of HARD drive.
In addition, you should check the RAM modules.
You can remove a memory module and could test the notebook with a single module.

I think that's all what you can do to still hardware diagnostic test the Toshiba ASP should be contacted.
Guys could test the laptop using some software and diagnostic tools and could tell exactly what s wrong here

  • Satellite Pro L450D - 12 X - reset to factory settings after formatting

    Hello

I tried upgrading my installation of Windows 7 Professional to Windows 7 ultimate. I ended up format the partition and now Windows will not load and the installation hangs right on 0%. I don't have a disc of recovery for this laptop, is it possible to access the recovery partition on this laptp to reset to factory settings or a restore CD I can order and it will work?

    The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite Pro L450D - 12 X

    Hey Buddy,

If you have already formatted the Windows partition, you are not able to start the recovery of HARD drive more. Also there is no possibility to access the recovery files and start them, so the pre-installed operating system is necessary.

The only option you have is Toshiba recovery disc. Only with this drive, you can restore the original settings of the box but I m wondering why you have n t a. It s mentioned in the user manual you have to create yourself

In any case, just order a disc here and be happy ;)

    Hello

Looks like the system is corrupted
    Try HARD drive recovery

Turn on the device, press F8 and choose fix my computer.
Now choose the recovery of HARD drive in the list of available options.
This should set the camera back to the factory settings

But this procedure works only if the HARD drive is OK.

  • Cannot exceed on Satellite Pro L450D-12 X BIOS password screen

A friend gave me a laptop to watch. His windows password was not recognized. She asked me to perform a password reset. I tried to get into the BIOS to change the boot order and requested a password. My friend doesn't know the BIOS password.

Than trying to get into the BIOS, whenever I start the laptop, it always goes to BIOS password entry screen. How to start windows log on screen and he asks me the bypass BIOS password?

The laptop model is satellite pro L450D - 12 X

    > How to start the windows log on screen and he asks me the bypass BIOS password?
BIOS password is very important security feature and you cannot bypass so simply.
To be honest, to discuss this topic on the public forum is pretty crazy, isn't it?

Each notebook stolen with BIOS password would be easy to start and data would be not protected at all.

It is unwise to chat about it. In any case, BIOS password can be removed by only authorized personnel, so contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and they will help you with this.

  • Satellite Pro L450D - 12 X - flashing screen on and outside

    Can Hi anyone help?

I have a laptop Toshiba L450D-12 x, when you start the laptop, the screen is flashing / blinking on and non-stop.

The screen turns on seconds, and it does not stop, becomes faster and faster!

The operating system loads up, I can not connect, but everything else seems fine.

Here is a list of what I've tried,

    1. connected to an external monitor - on the monitor, the screen does not flash, but on the laptop it is flashed!
2 replace the cable with a new one - continuous flashing screen
3 replace the inverter - continuous flashing
    4. replace the screen - continuous flashing
5 reset the default settings of the bios - continuous flashing
    6. started in safe mode - continuous flashing
7 install the latest driver - continues to blink
    8. removal of ram - continues to Flash
9 deleted the hard drive - continuous flashing

Please help, I don't want to replace the motherboard and then find it is not the motherboard

    Concerning

    RAF

    > Please help, I don't want to replace the motherboard and then find it is not the motherboard

In my view it's hard to say what's wrong here.
You said that if you connect the external monitor, the display is OK means (in my opinion) than the motherboard and graphics card should be ok.

I think you should visit a next engineer downtown to get verified material sound much less expensive than buying the following parts.

  • Satellite Pro L450D-12 x - computer doesn't dΘmarre

I'm looking for advice on a problem I have with regard to the commissioning of a Satellite Pro L450D-12 x.

    History:
Unfortunately, he hit the table and not surprisingly will start.
After external inspection it was evident was damaged during the fall and need to re - solder that has been done.

    Problem
When the power is connected, the power and battery lights turn on as expected.
However, when pressing 'On' switch the power light turns on for about 2 seconds and then turns off with absolutely nothing of the laptop.

After inspecting internal connections, as well as the search for signs of obvious damage (which I did not see anything) I'm starting to wonder if the CPU fan is defective or the CPU its self as none of these turn on. Battery, hard drive and RAM have been checked and are properly installed.

Even if the lights on the motherboard lights up as described above I also think half that a component on the motherboard was also damaged.

I would be grateful for any advice on what to check next.

PS Si fan is broken automatically cause the computer and not to the power upward to avoid damaging the CPU?

Until we start the discussion here check please first this Toshiba document - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSD57013H000JR01.htm

  • Cannot install Windows XP Home on Satellite Pro L450D-12 X

    Hi people

I have been using Windows 7 on my Toshiba Satellite Pro L450D-12 X. But because he of been running very slow, I decided to put windows xp on it.

So I put the drive in a two set windows xp and when he gets two the part were I need to press on enter, a blue screen comes on. I checked the laptop and its all ok, I even took the HD set windows xp upwards with her on some pc and it works fine.

But as soon as I put the HD in my laptop it won t charge up are anything... IF anyone can help me with this, it will be a great help.

Thank you very much for taking the time to two read this.

At first, I must say that your laptop is designed for Win7 and maybe you should continue to use Win7. Problem is that laptop with the factory settings is quite slow but it can be changed. What you need is to optimize Win7 preinstalled. Check out this forum and you will find many threads with good description and detailed what we can do about it.

According to specification for laptop, your laptop comes with WIN7 32 BIT PROFESSIONAL & XP DVD.
You have problems when you try to use this DVD WXP that you got with your laptop?

  • Satellite Pro L450D-14V - scroll function stopped working

Hello, sorry for the bad post (novice!)

I have windows 7 32 bit preinstalled with preinstalled rescue disk program (made on the two discs). Model is Toshiba Satellite Pro L450D-14V (2 GB of additional RAM installed, was only 1 GB). It has been provided directly at BT, after winning a competition.

When scrolling to work stoppage, it was presented in the control panel/mouse that I could click on and get parameters which is the case of the Green/horiz. Bearer of buttons are even though they in grayed out when I tried to click them.

Since the mucking with drivers I have now that I lost the functionality of touchpad synaptics, it only has a PS/2 compatible mouse, but all I have is the touchpad, workingl still without scrolling?

    Thank you for your interest

    Sigull (Tony)

    Hi Tony,.

Welcome here in the forum! No problem regarding your assignment, it of not difficult and we can discuss here everything about Toshiba laptops! :)

The scrolling feature is controlled by a touchpad driver you've already written and if you have lost this function I recommend reinstalling the driver from the official site of Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

On this page are two drivers listed: Alps Electric and Synaptics. You must install two drivers!
After that, you should be able to use the new virtual scrolling :)
