Satellite Pro L630-167 - Win 7 connection to the very slow connection menu
I have a Satellite Pro L630-167, which is connected to my network works.
I have this problem where the screen stays just on the Please wait screen, it seems that the laptop is that connects something, but not really do anything.
However if I had to start the computer in safe mode with network it works fine.
I really need some help here.
Have you noticed the problem even if the laptop is not connected to the network and if you want to load your user profile on Windows 7?
If this isn't the case, then I guess that it has something to do with the network, and in this case, I recommend asking the network administrator for a few suggestions.
I'm trying to connect my laptop to my TV. The specifications are:
Laptop: Toshiba Satellite Pro L630 - 134.
TV: Toshiba Regza CT-42RL853.
I am trying to achieve connectivity via HDMI. Once I have connected the TV to the laptop, I try to switch the display. However, the laptop does not see the TV (made to each function F5 or via Control Panel). The other view is not be found even when I select detect.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Things I've tried:
Looked in the BIOS but no parameters to allow another external screen.
Tried to look in the settings of the TV to see if there are access port to allow/disallow settings but nothing appears.
Shot to the top of Toshiba Media Controller on laptop. He seems to see the tv (screen name on the right side). However no image displayed on the tv.
Someone else has solved this problem?
Thanks in advance.
To be honest after reading your ad, I can't say with certainty what can be the problem. The fact is that, in most cases, it takes work and if there is not a small problem.
In the past, I have connected several laptops from Toshiba on my BRAVIA LCD TV and everything went well every time. On television, you must enable HDMI port you use. If you have more HDMI ports do not forget the right turned to television.
On the other hand, if your TV is recognized by your laptop when you press FN + F5, you should see several options there. You see it or just one option (LCD)?
Are you using the original pre-installed OS that you got with your laptop (original drivers)?
Have you tried using different HDMI cables?
I want to update my laptop Satellite Pro 4270 of Win ME to XP. If I start the XP, program update
starts but a message appears: "component a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4200 unit... GSXS system." If you go forward with the
Update, it is possible that one or more devices / components system are´nt works more.., please update
the system... »
What can I do to make the update correctly, that is to say that the components of the system work with new XP system?
Are there updates regarding this problem?
Thanks for your help.
Also, I wasn't able to find the drivers for Win XP for this device.
However, if you want to install Windows XP you can do, but as said above some functions may not work.
The last possibility is to check the other laptop computer series and try to install drivers other laptops that support the same features.
Maybe you about success.
My Satellite Pro L630-12F has (A) an Atheros AR8151 PCI - E Gigabit Ethernet Controller, and (B) Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter.
Toshiba continues regularly informing me that a Wireless Lan Driver update was released, which I need to install.
First question: is Wireless LAN Ethernet controller driver or the network card?
I have check the versions on my machine of both (A) and (B) with the PC diagnostic tool and find that (B) is the latest version (18.104.22.168) and (A) is a very old version (22.214.171.124). I download the latest version (126.96.36.1996.0) of "Atheros Wireless LAN Adapter" for my machine from the Wireless LAN Driver download page (Windows 7 (64)) and run the file. But, everywhere I look, my machine continues to say that the version of (A) is (188.8.131.52).
Second question: am I update the Ethernet Atheros controller when I download and run the Atheros Wireless LAN Adapter?
If Yes, then why doesn't it show the latest version information?
Sorry for the basic questions, but I found no explanations in various forums on the difference between 'ethernet controller', 'network card' and 'Wireless LAN' after searching several times. I'm afraid that Toshiba keeps informing me that I don't have the latest version of the wireless LAN driver despite my efforts to follow their instructions.
> First question: is Wireless LAN Ethernet controller driver or the network card?
Ethernet controller can be both; WLan and LAN in your case I guess that WLan is Ethernet controller, it would seem if the WLan driver is not installed
Your laptop L630-12F seems to bear card Broadcom BCM94313 WLan and the driver can be found here:
> Am updated the Ethernet Atheros controller when I download and run the Atheros Wireless LAN Adapter?
This is driver LAN!
I'm no expert, but I was hoping that someone could tell me how to get rid of / fix an error message thatI do me whenever I put on. The unhandled exception, said "access to PathC:\ProgrammeData\ToshibaEurope|. Registration\se fittings xml is denied. "
I had a Trojan horse affecting this laptop two weeks ago and he (or hidden) wiping most of the material I had on this machine.
Thanks I've got it running again, but this unhandled exception appears every time so I have to type Quit or he keeps coming back.
I have no idea how to fix this problem. I checked everything and so has my son, remotely and this morning I ran MalwareBytes and allowed the two files, but I still get the message unhandled exception.
It's annoying because I don't know if I need to have access to this road. If someone can tell me how do I cure this I would be grateful, but please keep in mind, I'm just a user with limited experience. It's a Satellite Pro L630-L14 and I got just TWO MONTHS! stevmk2
I think the problem is the Trojan horse you had. It was probably something has changed on the access to the files/folders. If you can t remove the Trojan with Antivirus software, you must reinstall the whole operating system. Therefore, you can use the recovery disk as described here:
> I got it just TWO MONTHS!
Who makes no difference, how is the laptop. This viral infection can happen after a few days and it s depending on your antivirus software you use, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the brand of laptop.
I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-167 and I want to restore it to the factory settings without using a disc, if anyone knows how to do this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Do it as described in following Toshiba document - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm
My laptop 2 months old, satellite pro L630-12F, running windows 7, just started to constantly read the hard drive in windows. The light is still on. When I try to do something, it takes forever-. for example, click on the start menu. Wait a minute, while the cirlce thing appears and the start menu.
If I do too much hard drive starts to make a ticking noise and possibly a BSOD appears and it restarts.
If I try to stop or restart it takes forever to do.
When I go into safe mode, it just does the same thing.
Any suggestions as to what is happening and how I can fix this problem?
At first I thought that the constantly HARD drive activity can be because of preinstalled McAffe and HDD scan but this info on ticking noise and possibly a BSOD is really strange and I'm afraid that there must be another reason m.
Have you noticed this behavior from the first day or later?
It will be interesting to know if the same behavior is with its own OS preinstalled. Can you install new OS by using recovery image and test it with the factory settings?
In the worst case I mean that the HARD disk must be exchanged.
I have a few questions on the Toshiba Satellite Pro L650-167 I'm about to buy. It is the model with an i5 430 m, 4 GB drr3 and ati 5650.
(1) will be the laptop computer motherboard supports upgrading to a processor i7m as the 620 m for example? I find these on ebay for good prices. Also can you truly open mobile phones L series to replace the processor? You can for example of dell. I know that my warranty will be cancelled. Finally all the i series cpu is all 35w so do not supply problems?
(2) can easily exchange you the hard disk of the L series, or is it not available?
Thank you very much!
Here is my review for you:
Update CPU is not supported and I don t think that everyone here will be able to provide some specific information on this subject. Any laptop can be opened and removed so it shouldn't be a problem, but if it's reasonable the decision is another matter. If you need laptop with more power than pay a little more money and buy cell phone more powerful, but don t change anything and have it with full warranty time.
Generally the design on most Toshiba laptops is the same and access the HARD disk is not complicated. All you have to do is to remove the HARD drive cover placed at the bottom. Then you can remove the original HARD drive and possibly improve with a new.
I'm unable to download the update of the BIOS for a Toshiba Satellite Pro P300 PSPCDE (WIN 3.00), the reason being that I wonder a user name and password to download the file!
The laptop has this annoying problem to revive a few minutes after the laptop has stopped, and that's why I want to update the BIOS to see if it suits him. Laptop is running XP Pro (downgraded from Vista).
Ideas how I can get the update of the BIOS and will it solve the strange rebooting problem?
Where are you trying to download the BIOS?
I always download my updates on the official website of Toshiba and if it doesn't work maybe you should wait a day.
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers
To be honest, I doubt that the BIOS update will solve this problem. I often read about this problem and you can solve if you disable the wake on LAN function in the BIOS and Windows (properties of the wireless network card).
I have a Satellite Pro L40 PSL4BE and have just upgraded to Windows 7. Since the upgrade I can no longer use the function key and the top and down arrows to control the volume. Keys F6 F7 & still control the brightness so I don't know the function key still works.
Anyone know if it is a driver problem or nobody knows how to solve this problem?
You need to install the package of value added for Satellite Pro L40. This package contains all the necessary drivers for the FN keys. Then please install or update VAP if you have already installed an earlier version.
Here you can download: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers
Can you confirm that FN keys work with installed VAP?
I have a Satellite Pro A60 and when I turn on the machine, the lights come on and the fan whirls for about 5 seconds and then the machine just turns off again.
No matter if I have the battery or HARD drive in or not, the same phenomenon occurs.
I guess it's problem of CPU or power supply Board, but I don't know.
Is there anyone else who has had this problem and if so how is it resolved?
Any help would be appreciated very with gratitude that I am out of warranty and need the laptop when you work from home.
I guess it can be a single processor or card mother related issue.
If there is something wrong with the power supply for laptop card then the cell phone would not turn on, even for 5 sec.
But it's only my personal suggestion to make sure what's exactly wrong check specifications should be necessary.
So I think that a laptop computer technician should check it out.
Peuvent some please help?
I bought a Satellite Pro L300-152, model without PSLB1E-01R015EN with Vista 32 bit a few months ago to replace an old Toshiba laptop not.
The problem I have is that I can't connect external devices such as TV, projector, or a monitor.
I used another laptop in the past with my TV and projector and have had no problems at all. I connected via the VGA port, as it is the only port with the exception of USB. Using a VGA cable, I tried all the settings that I have used in the past, but with no joy.
I did the setting in the display settings and the FN + F5, but nothing comes up on the external screens except no signal.
I tried to solve this problem for months and need help, please.
> When I try to update the bios driver I get a message: insydeflash the virsion or ROM file is not newer than the version of the BIOS?
Strange what s... what version of BIOS is installed on your laptop?
As much as I know at this time the European Toshiba page provides the version of 1, 50 - WIN update of the BIOS for this model of laptop.
I decided to update my old Toshiba Satellite Pro A300 PSAG9E-00700TTE Vista to Windows 8.
After two tries he has been successful. Vista made me mad, and when I decided to give my son, I wanted to work better.
Toshiba doesn't seem to be willing to support the old models. (over 3 years).
I can not even find this model code in the lists, the site does not seem to recognize the serial number.
This is why all the Windows 8 upgrade tools provided are not relevant.
I met a few minor problems before, but the Toshiba Turkey never replied messages, even those concerning the new products when I considered buying a new laptop. In the end I went for an Asus, which exceeds my expectations.
I don't expect all support this time either, because of past experience. But I still want to try one last time.
Is there a way to get the material in this workbook in Windows 8?
> Is there a way to get the material in this workbook in Windows 8?
Satellite Pro A300 is not that win 8 supported means that you will not find to win 8 drivers for this series, but of course, you can use Win 8 on this unit.
In some cases, the municipality of Win 7 drivers would be compatible.
Toshiba tools like VAP (value added package) to win 8 can also be used, but we must look for a Win 8 VAP released for other more recent models.
Touchpad driver can be downloaded from the page of the Synaptics driver also other drivers like LAN or WLan can be found on chip manufacturer pages.
I just bought a new Satellite Pro L50 - B and it is unable to connect to the wifi of my company 5 GHz network. It connects well to the 2.4 GHz network, but poor performance on network thaat there.
Is it possible to get the L50 - B to work in the 5 GHz range?
Frequency of 5 GHz is supported by 802.11 A and 802.11 N
But if the WLan module is not compatible 802.11 A, then the standard 802.11 N will operate at 2.4 Ghz
The question is: what are the standards WLan are supported by the integrated WLan module?
Which module WLan is integrated?
I installed 8 64-bit Windows on my Toshiba Satellite Pro PSLSAE L500-1W4
Previously, I had Windows 7 64-bit on
After the installation of Windows 8, I am unable to turn the WiFi on my PC
But the driver for my wireless card (WLAN 802.11n Realtek RTL8191SE PCI-E interface card) is up to date, I have installed the latest driver by getting on the [Realtek site: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=48&PFid=48&Level= 5 & Conn = 4 & DownTypeID = 3 & GetDown = false & downloads = true #RTL8191SE-VA2]
I installed the latest driver for Windows 7 64-bit, this driver does not exist for Windows 8...
The problem is that Windows 8 I lose the use of my Fn key so my driver must be very beautiful day and my card so wireless work I can't launch it (I have not a front button activation is mainly through the Fn key) I'm not going to connect
Does anyone have a solution for me?
Thank you in advance!

You can enable and disable the WiFi using the option of Windows 8.
In this case, the switch function FN command is unnecessary.
Start the charm bar (Windows key + C)-> settings-> settings for laptop computer-> Wireless-> wireless (enabled/disabled)
Now the wifi must be enabled
