Satellite Pro L875: Cannot burn DVD Recovery Media Creator and win 8

I have a L875 Pro of the Satellite with Blu - ray burner.

I tried to create the recovery DVD disc, the burn process stopped and error guest asked me to check if the disc is damaged or scratched. After the burning process, the DVD was not empty and some data wrote on this subject.

I tried to burn the data disc in windows 8. the burner is not started. I'm only able to add files to the disc.

I play Blu - ray movies and dvd movies, blu ray player was fine.

I found information on the appropriate corresponding to the burning speed dvd disc speed.

How do I know what speed the burner support?

How to burn a DVD or Blu - Ray in windows 8? (I looked on the Microsoft forum, but the solution did not work.)

It would be great if someone respond and make the drive burn discs.

As a first step, it will be interesting to see why you cannot create recovery discs.
Have you used vacuum on DVD-R media? Otherwise please use it and buy a product of high quality like Verbatim or TDK.

Is there an option to create the USB stick recovery?

Combustion under Win8? Have you tried to use some burning as NERO applications?

Try to copy in memory USB, using Recovery Media Creator, original image from the Pc; just in case of future problems, I get this message: error 040 EAE-02-000000000.
    No idea what this means?.

    Thank you

    Hello

Have you tried another USB key? The stick is probably defective, so the recovery media can t create successfully.

Also format the stick before using the recovery media creator.

  • NB200 - Recovery Media Creator and drive HARD USB

I just bought a white NB200 and noticed that it does not come with a DVD of Windows 7 in case I ever need to install.
I was informed by the seller in the store I could save a copy on a USB key using a recovery disc writing.
I assume that "Recovery Media Creator" is the best way to do it.

I booted up and it said that it will be 6.7 GB. I don't have a USB this size, but have a portable hard drive (250 gb) with 120 GB to spare.
Even though I can view the drive in Windows Explorer / workstation, the program of recovery media says ' Please insert a USB drive with greater than 6.7 GB memory ', whenever I click on the create"" button.

    If anyone can help?

    Hello

I doubt that you can use the USB HDD to create a recovery disk image.
The Toshiba recovery disc creator has been designed in order to create a bootable recovery disk!
It has not been designed for sure the image of Toshiba on the HARD drive!

So if you want to use the Toshiba recovery disc creator then you must buy a USB CD/DVD drive that can burn the recovery image on a DVD

  • Recovery Media Creator and USB

I try to use "Recovery Media Creator' loading on a 16Gig USB drive.
The program insert me a greater than 12 Gig USB flash drive ask what I do.

He said while the drive will be formatted and then comes up with "Format Failed (Error Code: 040E49-04-00000000)" and the USB key becomes illegible. Using disk of Windows & tool management I can then format the drive and use it becomes usable with the exception of "Recovery Media Creator".

I formatted in FAT32, NTFS and exFAT, but none does.
I tried two USB flash drives, both the same behavior.

As far as I know, there are no partitions on the disk and I used successfully "Recovery Media Creator" on one of the disks in the past. I want the files to restore another computer, something I've done successfully before.

I can burn data using DVD but the DVD did not work so I want to try the USBs. I have read some threads in this direction but have not found the answers to date. I'm sure that there is a simple explanation but I'm not.

Usually, the creation of recovery using the USB flash key support should work fine.

I read in some other threads that the preinstalled anti-virus software could cause similar problems... so I recommend you to disable the antivirus and other security software... so this should work

Other guy says that delete the partition entirely and create a new simple volume would also work.

  • Satellite Pro C660-239 - restore from recovery media error

    Hello!

I have a laptop from a client, it is a Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-239, and I'm having a strange problem.

The original hard drive failed, and as the laptop is out of warranty, we bought a new hard drive and ordered the recovery media to this model, our assistance to repair local toshiba.

After the installation copied the files on the disk, the imageX command fails when you restore the image with error files:

"the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."

The hard drive is new, and I also tried with more than 2 hard drives, as well as with an external cd-rom drive.

I spoke with the support of assistance local repair, and told me that this happens because the ins new ' t compatible with the recovery media hard drive?

One of the new disks hard I tried, was the exact same model as the original hard disk, and the error persists, so the hard drive may not be the problem.

Y does it have that no change in the recovery media is corrupt?

Could also be a motherboard problem?

    Thank you

    > Is there any change in the recovery media is corrupt?
    Of course, this is possible.
In case the HARD disk is OK, the recovery media may be damaged.

    > Could also be a motherboard problem?
I don t think so. I imagine that the HARD drive is recognized correctly in the BIOS and the error message says something about corrupt directory. I guess the disk directory that is the meaning and I think that the media should be replaced.

    Hello!

You can burn discs using another program Nero for example or this only happens with alcohol?

In your case, I would try to remove the upper and lower filters in the Windows registry. Normally this does not solve the problems with the CD/DVD drive. Just follow the steps described in this workaround from Microsoft:

  • Satellite Pro A300 - cannot write DVD

    Hi all

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 with PIONEER DVD - RW DVRTDO8A; Version 1.54 and after 2 years usingIi FW start having problems with the DVD the DVD because no desire to write.

    Maybe someone can help me?

    Hey Buddy,

You still use another brand of DVD? Some brands could not be compatible with your player. I made good experiences with DVD-R (not DVD + R) of Verbatim and TDK. Both brands are working well and never had any problems.
    Did you check that?

What burning software do you use?
I use CD Burner XP because it s nice and little freeware tool.

  • Satellite L500D - can only burn the recovery of 1st and 2nd disc

I bought this 2nd hand computer laptop in the last two days with the factory default reset. However, I could only burn the 1st recovery disc 2 of 4 using Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator.

I am running Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit. I started at F8 factory reset "out of the box" settings that went well. I did where there was a small problem when the previous owner restored to factory settings.

As he had SP1, I installed SP2. I upgraded the BIOS to 1.1 to 1.4, the latest. I also installed the latest version of Recovery Disc Creator for L500D, after uninstalling the old version.

    Downloads from http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/notebooks/satellite/l500/pslk0a-00r009/download.

I changed to another brand of DVD blank. I have checked and unchecked "Verify" in the Recovery Disc Creator. I also have the latest installed version of the Toshiba disc Creator software. I tried to burn discs 3 & 4 separately overall

I get no error message, just as the taskbar progress 3rd disc ends never quite at the end. The former owner has never created a set of the factory restore disks. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Hello

to be honest, I have not idea why t he does not burn it. I can offer you:

    1. use a high quality like Dvd - R verbatim media

    > I also installed the latest version of Recovery Disc Creator for L500D, after uninstalling the old version.

2 maybe, he won't burn with Toshiba disc creator software update. Restore back factory settings and try again with the old version of Toshiba disc creator.

  • Satellite Pro M30 - cannot burn CD/DVDs

    Hello!

Since I got my machine, I was not able to burn CDs or DVDs either. I get a 'power calibration error' that normally I guess means the disc broke. But, because it is a whole new drive (less then a month) and it can read all CD and DVD I throw at it, I doubt that it's a hardware problem. After a few minutes of Googling, I came across a thread made by other people encounter the same problem with this same drive (Mat * a UJ - 820 s), but no good solution (at least none that worked for me).

Here is a log from Nero (6.6.0.1 (also tried older versions)). I hope this is of some use, because this is getting very frustrating... Thank you.

Here's how I just fixed my misfortunes:

In short: go to controller - device manager and select IDE ATA/ATAPI: try to change only "PIO" mode instead of "Ultra DMA Mode" on the IDE channel that uses your DVD player, namely the secondary IDE channel (since 1 is probably your drive). It should say "Location 1" on the tab where the reader is NOT zero.

Ultra-DMA is obviously more recent and faster and better, but I think that it infiltrates the specified performance of the PIO-mode. It took me about 10 minutes to write about 3 gigs.

    (1) uninstall manually each device driver that seemed even remotely connected to the "Mat * one" or "DVD" or "CD" INCLUDING "Standard dual channel PCI IDE Controller" and "secondary IDE channel".

    (2) to ensure a hard reboot (power off)

    (3) Windows to automatically detect any material it appears after reboot begins

    (4) one of these elements has been the "secondary IDE channel"... or in any case... go to Panel of-> system-> hardware: secondary IDE channel.
b change of "Ultra DMA mode" "PIO" mode only

    (5) go to control panel-> hardware-> device-> IDE ATA controllers Manager / ATAPI-> secondary IDE channel: Transfer Mode = "PIO only" to ensure that this relocation, you just live kept this adjustment, otherwise set it as such and again, DO NOT change your "location 0" define, show your secondary ide channel tab should say "location 1". "

    (5) - hard reboot again

    (6) the system should come in and automatically detect your CD-ROM / DVD-ROM / Optical Drive / DVD - RAM drive both at the next reboot.

    It should then work.

  • Satellite Pro M30: Cannot write - DVD SD-R6112

I have a M30 Satellite with a Player Pro combined DVD - ROM SD-R6112 DVD. The drive is marked as "DVD-R/RW. It will play the DVD without problem, but it will not recognize any blank DVD - RW disc. I've used Nero6 and RecordNow Delux.

The drive is incorrectly marked? If anyone has had problems similar and, more important still, to find a solution?

    Hi Geoff,

Your device works properly if you use DVD-R discs? I tried mine using a DVD - RW once and it would not accept the disk until I had formatted (using NERO).
Using DVD - R blanks I had no problem at all.

  • Satellite Pro M30: Cannot read DVD on DVD - RW disc

    I have can´t dvd´s read...
I can burn but when I start to read, it shows me an error like this "E:\ is not accessible. The request cannot be performed because of an i/o device error."

It s killing me, please help

    Hello

The IO device error occurs if the drive has a problem with the disc or the configuration of your system (mainly a problem of disc).
Peut-t DVD player play all DVD or just DVD serious?
What burning software did you use?
As far as I know, you should always logged out of engraving.

Also if you need the DVD Shrink software please check this link:

  • Satellite A100-998: Vista - cannot play DVDs with Media Player and WinDVD

I just upgraded my Satellite A100-998 to Vista. Nothing but problems. I can't play DVDs with Mediaplayer because my "video card does not meet the minimum memory requirement of 64 MB of RAM video.
He tells me to update the video driver or install a new video card.

I can't use Intervideo WinDVD to play discs because wnaspi32.dll is missing. I can download it on the web, but it becomes just as much as my office. Anyone know where I should put wnaspi32.dll and how much?

Someone had this problem? How did you solve this problem?

    Thank you.

First of all, I must say that I haven't noticed these issues after the installation of Vista. I installed it on the A100 and everything went correctly
I put t know if you use a graphics driver right but necessary for correctly working Vista.

The user Scooby1966 has posted a nice Vista tips:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=22503

By the way: is the file wnaspi32.dll driver ASPI Nero burning application could install it. If you use Nero try to reinstall this app

  • Satellite Pro L300 - cannot use Intel ProSet WLan tool with Win XP

Hello! I have the same problem. I installed a XP SP3 and I can't use the * Fn + F8 * hotkey to activate the WLAN function on or off. Other Fn keys work correctly. The WiFi network also works, but it can be used by the built-in Windows. Intel ProSet or Atheros programs do not work. It seems "no wlan driver installed. The card is a Realtek 8187 B, downloaded the driver on Toshiba support original site. What can I do?

    > WLan also works, but it can be used by the built-in Windows. Intel ProSet or Atheros programs do not work
If the WiFi works fine using the windows zero configuration then the WLan adapter is enabled and don t get the FN + F8.

The fact is that your 3rd party WLan configuration tool doesn t work because your wireless network card is * Realtek! *

Intel ProSet ONLY works with Intel WLan card and the Atheros Wlan configuration tool can be used ONLY if your have an Atheros Wlan card.

You have Realtek so use windows own zero configuration WLan!

  • Satellite Pro C850 - missing Recovery Media Creator

I recently bought a C850 Pro Satellite and, after update to Windows 7 and everything defining the way I like it, I tried to create a recovery media.

However, when I click on Recovery Media Creator in the programs, the file 'TRMCLcher.exe' is not found. In fact, I can't find anywhere on the computer.

In the directory C:/Program Files/Toshiba/Toshiba Recovery Media Creator, there is an app called "toRDC.exe" but it does not.

Someone has ideas how to get creator of Meda recovery to run? D rather avoid the hassle to use the recovery option of hard drive partition to return to factory settings if possible, especially as I doubt m Recovery Media Creator works even in this case, I have seen ve not deleted or modified files with the program.

Grateful for any help, thank you.

Take a look at this page:
    http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/support/computers/Satellite/Pro/C850/pskc9a-00t019/download?OS=25

Here, I could find the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator for Win 7 64 bit for download.
Of course, if you need 32-bit version, you must change the settings in the upload form.
