Satellite Pro M30: Clock keeps going back 1 hour

Hello

One of the users has a Satellite Pro, model No: PSM35E, the clock on the PC continues to go back 1 hour. Even after that the clock is replaced with the correct settings (GMT... etc, DST is checked). But when it has restarted, it defaults to return 1 h?

Known problems with this?

Concerning
Raz.

Hey Raz

I found this topic on many forums of PC and it is not related to specific PC or laptop and the strange is that I never found any explanation for this. If your device is permanently online, I recommend you to use automatically synchronize with a time server option Internet in Date and time properties.

  • Satellite Pro m30 - clock is fast

    Hello

I have a problem, I noticed some time ago (don't know exaclty when, because I was using time servers), that if the laptop is left for a few hours without an internet connection, the internal clock goes faster. It is about 2 hours faster every day.

Can you tell me what could be the reason?

    See you soon
    Filip

    Hello Filip

I googled a little and found many forums where you can find the same theme. Obviously no one has any explanation why this happens.

Think only you can do is use the option called automatically synchronize with a time server Internet. This option, you can find in the control panel Date and time properties.

  • Satellite Pro M30 - real time clock shows wrong time

    Hello!

most of the time I am using my Toshiba satellite pro m30 without the battery with the energy of the power system. the battery is stored somewhere outside of the computer for a month the real time clock shows a bad time if the computer is started after a period of time.

I think my cmos battery is going to die soon.

someone has an idea, how this cmos battery can be changed by myself?

    Thank you
    Reinhard

    Hello Reinhard

I agree with you. It is time to replace the CMOS battery. It is not easy and the machine must be dismantled. If you are not familiar with the procedure for disassembly, it can be dangerous. A small mistake can result with damaging material.

If you want to do it alone, you do so at your own risk. Be sure to use the right battery. Maybe you won't believe, but if you use a battery hurt it could cause battery explosion, or other damage.

I'm not 100% sure, but the RTC battery must be placed on the left side near the touch pad. If you want to only please be very gently. The laptop parts are very sensitive.

  • Satellite Pro M30 and eSATA

    Hi all

I recently bought the external drive western digital mybook premium ARE. This disc has an eSATA (external SATA) port.

The problem is that my satellite pro m30 (model #: psm35e0021jar) is not the external SATA port. I found an ADDONICS (eSATA, ExpressCard 34) and another similar product from SIIG (eSATA II Express Card).

    The question is:

1.) these products going to be compatible with my fairly old laptop?
2.) is the hard drive of my laptop SATA technology is or what?
(3.) what brand of motherboard used in my laptop?

Thanks in advance and I cannot wait for the answers.

    Hello

1.) these 3 products of third parties are not known to me, but as you know the Satellite Pro M30 does not support a SATA interface and if you want to upgrade the HARD drive, you will need to use the HARD disk with interface IDE (ATA-5) increased.
(2.) No, as indicated above the laptop supports the IDE and not SATA
(3.) the Satellite Pro M30 using motherboards Toshiba ;)

A hint; If you have a SATA HDD, you can use it as a external HARD drive. This HARD disk can be connected via external USB sata controller.

Anyone knows what is the cause of this and what is the long-term solution?

    Longesson...

    Hello

As far as I know the light glow orange or flashes while the battery is charging. If it of impossible to turn on the device while the battery is charging so in my opinion, there is something wrong with the electronic power to your laptop.
You should contact the service partner for help.

  • Upgrading RAM on Satellite Pro M30

    Hi colleagues!

My comp is Satellite Pro M30-873. He has only 512 MB of main memory.
I want to spend 1 to 2 GB. Recommended memory is Kingston KTT3311
which is extremely difficult to buy. A very similar memory of Kingston is KVR333X64SC25.

It is fully compatible with M30? Anyone tried?

    Thaks a lot in advance

    Hello

Your laptop can be upgraded up to 2 GB of RAM and compatible 1 GB of RAM except the number PA3313U-1M1G. Use this number for Google search.
I hope you find somewhere. This module may not be more expensive so I recommend buying 2 of them and the upgrade of RAM maximum.

  • Satellite Pro M30 Win 7 - webcam does not work on msn messenger

    Hi all

I have a Satellite Pro M30 Modell Nr.: PSM35E and just changed to Windows 7. But put him Nvidia card NVIDIA GeForceTM FX Go5200 Grafik 64 MB of RAM is not working properly.

I could find a Vista driver and installed, have Aero + photos on the desktop, but my webcam does not work on msn messenger and this is the only way for me to see my family.

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks for your help

    Hello

I m a bit confused; you have some problems with the graphics card or with the webcam?

I assume you mean on external webcam connected to the USB port? Right?
What happens if you connect the webcam to the laptop? Can win 7 recognize the device? Have you installed additional drivers for this webcam?
Most of the time it s necessary to do so because I think that it s not Plug & Play device.

    > Everything is OK, but I have problems withs pilots 'SD card driver ". I can't find something that works... I tried with WinXP old ones, but do not work

Win XP drivers do not work with Win 7, but you should try some drivers for Vista.
Try some drivers released for other series...

    Also try this:

You can go to Device Manager-> properties-> Details tab SC card reader

You can find something like that.

  • Satellite Pro M30 - download drivers?

    Hello world

I hope someone is able to help me:

I tried to find the drivers for my laptop on this site here, given that my original CD with the top drivers is lost. I was able to get to the section pilots where I entered the serial number of my laptop. After that, I get redirected to a website, which appeared to store everything you need for the Toshiba Satellite Pro M30. Unfortunately, it didn't show the "loading circle', no matter which section, I tried to access (for example"manuals"or"drivers", etc.).
Then, I hit up the forums and read on 'archive', in which the drivers and other utilities for older, obsolete laptops are available. Unfortunately, this article was not available at all.
In addition, my research efforts on Google didn't get anywhere.
Could someone tell me what I have to do to get your hands on these drivers or, where there is not such an option, download me these drivers (for example on Megaupload.com) pack?
I would be forever indebted to anyone some.

    Thanks in advance!
