  Hello!

  I am struggling with this problem for months... the latest version of Eve on my toshiba satellite pro m30 running windows xp with service pack 1 installed gives a message box with an error message when the stop and I'm unable to eliminate this error. Unfortunately, I can't consider reinstall the system from scratch, because there are many other applications installed and I can't lose the settings for them. I read the forums and realized I'm not one of the problems with toshiba power saver. I'm even lucky to successfully at startup started it! Yet, it hangs at shutdown.   Using the Toshiba power management or standard options of Microsoft?

  I would recommend the Toshiba utility, as this will allow you to set various options, including the brightness of the display.

  You should be able to set options for power supply and power of the battery of your choice, then save them so that they will be called automatically when you start your laptop.

  Power options are available from the control panel.

  Unfortunately, I have not found all public documents on led error codes.
  Only EPA has documents on error codes and he should know what that means.
  AFAIK short means 0 and 1 long.

  After a short investigation in the Microsoft Knowledge base, I found this description of the error Code 19:

  Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged.
  To resolve this problem, you can first try running a Troubleshooting Wizard.
  If this does not work, you must uninstall and reinstall the hardware device.

  This can occur when more than one service is defined for a device, if there is a failure opening the service subkey, or if the driver name cannot be obtained from the service subkey. Try these options:

  On the tab General properties of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard. Click on uninstall and click Scan for hardware changes to load a usable driver.   But before install you common Modules and energy savings you must first uninstall the energy saver!

  Win XP drivers do not work with Win 7, but you should try some drivers for Vista.
  Try some drivers released for other series...

  Also try this:

  You can find something like that.

  To me, it seems that you tried to install applications that are not compatible with this laptop.

  I agree with you. It is time to replace the CMOS battery. It is not easy and the machine must be dismantled. If you are not familiar with the procedure for disassembly, it can be dangerous. A small mistake can result with damaging material.
