Satellite Pro P750: Settings grayed out LAN

I just installed my P750/2r new 64 bit Windows 7 running on my domain and found that I can not connect Internet Explorer version 8 as LAN settings (under Tools / Internet Options / connection) are greyed out for Automativ scripting and the Proxy settings.

I log in as a local user and administrator, but they are soothed grayed out. I have a work around that happens right now by installing Firefox which is fine (but it's a pain using two system).

I went online to Microsoft and they said it was a matter of Toshiba.

Hey Buddy,

And what happens if updated Internet Explorer latest version 9?

You can download a newer version of Internet Explorer here:

  • How to enter the BIOS on my Satellite Pro S300 settings?

    Hello

It may sound silly, but I'm trying to access the BIOS on my TOSHIBA Satellite Pro S300-EZ1511 menu and I can't, I searched for this on the manual but I couldn't find anything.

I need to go there if I change the SATA to IDE settings so I can install windows XP system after I formatted the Vista.

    Thank you

It should be in the manual somewhere.

Turn on the laptop and hold the ESCAPE key. When it prompts you, and then press F1.

  • Satellite Pro C850 - strange problem with LAN connection

    Hello world

I just signed up on this forum because I hope you guys can help me with a really strange problem.

    I recently bought a Satellite Pro C850-1MX
It came with Win8, but given that I don't really like Win8, I bought an additional Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) license and installed on the laptop.

The problem I describe, also arrived on 8 to win, which makes it even more strange.

As soon as I connect a cable to the RJ-45 port, Windows tells me, that the LAN connection is not connected.
As soon as I unplug the cable, Windows starts looking for a network and actually found one!

So, the only way to connect to my LAN cable is... I have activate the LAN connection, wait that it detects a network (without the cable connected!) and meanwhile to connect the cable to the network port.
Now... If I disconnect the cable once again, Windows still shows its connected.

I must say, that I am a Director of professional network for more than 10 years now, so I should know my systems, but this never happened to me before. Event log shows nothing, re-installing drivers did nothing either. IM quite confused here and I hope you guys can help me.

Thanks for reading, and let me know if you need any additional info!

    Greetings from the Germany,
    Sandro

    Hello Sandro,

To be honest I confused m.

I would try to start talking about the drivers installed, since you changed the system for Win 7.
All the network devices, such as card WLan and LAN card are properly recognized in Device Manager?

As I m not wrong not the laptop was equipped with a network card Realtek-8111F (1000BASE-T/100Base-TX/10Base-T) and WLan RTL8723AE Realtek b/g/n card.
If both should appear in the device properly Manager if you have installed the drivers correctly.

    2nd question:
    You said:
    > As soon as I unplug the cable, Windows starts looking for a network and actually found one!
Are you sure that you speak of LAN and WLAN?
For me it made no further since. If the network cable is unplugged, the notebook would connect to the WLan where WiFi is enabled.

  • How to access the BIOS on Satellite Pro 4600 settings?

    Guys,

I received a Satellite Pro 4600, unfortunately this laptop has 2 and a half proceeding on this issue. The first is MS2000, then XP then an incomplete installation of XP. When I start the laptop, it asks which OS I want to use. I have a legal copy of XP that I bought and I want to reformat the computer laptop and put on a new install of XP, the problem is how to enter the BIOS to change the settings to boot to a CD?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Steve

    Hello

First of all you n t need to access the BIOS to boot from the CD.
You can simply press the F12 key immediately after the laptop has been powered.
It would show the available boot options.

Alternatively, you can press the C button that would automatically allow the CD/DVD drive as the boot source.

  • Satellite Pro A200 PSAFCA: need driver Lan and screen for XP

    Hey

    Please help me!

I just installed XP on my new satalite pro, but I had trouble with the drivers.
For the moment, I installed most but from this site, I can't seem to find a driver that will help my network card, or my video NIVIDIA player...

any suggestions would be very valuable

The Satellite Pro A200 PSAFCA is unclear to me. I know the PSAE1, the PSAE4 and the PSAE7Satellite Pro A200. So could you please confirm your Pro A200 series?

If you do not find only XP drivers on the Toshiba page I would recommend checking the LAN and graphics chip installed on the motherboard and use drivers XP from the manufacturing of the chip.

If you need a graphic driver, I advise to use the drivers from the site www.omegadrivers.net or www.laptopvideo2go.com

  • Satellite Pro 6100: cursor moves out of control on the screen

    Hey guys,.

I'm seriously going crazy right about now... my problem is the following:

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100, Windows XP Professional with SP2, memory: 512 MB.

About two weeks ago my cursor began to move up and down whenever I pressed the space bar. It has gotten worse since. My cursor moves out of control across the screen (there are usually in the upper right or lower left) and I can not recover. I know for a fact that it has nothing to do with my external mouse (optical), because this problem also occurs when I use my pointing device. Even in safe mode.

    The thing I've tried:
    Ran Spybot: Search and Destroy
    Ran Adaware
    Xoftspy RAN
A ran Symantic Antivirus 10 (complete analysis of the system in safe mode)
    New keyboard
    New motherboard

Nothing helps. I'm this close to format my pc. Does anyone have a suggestion of what to do?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

I put t he understand. You have changed the keyboard and the motherboard, but you did not recover the OS with the Toshiba Recovery CD.
The first procedure that you should do is the new installation of the OS before you change or replace anything on the laptop.

Unfortunately, it is not easy to say why it occurs. A friend of mine has a similar problem with the cursor. The cursor has jumped on the screen and it was not possible to open applications. It has (or service) resolved with the replacement of keyboard.

If the new installation OS doesn't fix this strange cursor, so I recommend you contact Toshiba.

  • Analyze settings grayed out out on hp mfp dw 477

I configured the printer to a shared network folder and everything works fine, but when I go to the settings real scanner on the printer itself, I can't change the name of the file, it is grayed out and the settings are grayed out, so, it scans only as a pdf file and I can not change it.  the scanner works and saves it under a default name, I put, but I want to be able to change the name of the scanner before I scan him. any help is greatly appreciated. I read somewhere all that may be required is software scanning hp, but that does not come with the software that I installed it with the cd?

HP printers that I am familiar with the network folder scanning has nothing to do with a scanner software.

I go back to the built-in web server and start to check the settings and see if you have inadvertently set it where it is not editable.

Frankly I don't know even if you can change the settings for a scan of folder in the control panel once it is installed on the built-in web server.

  • Satellite Pro P750-136 - Bluetooth does not work.

    Hey

Bluetooth to my P750 no longer works. I went to device management, and it was the bluetooth rfbus which seems to be the one who does not work despite the driver is correctly installed and updated.

I have the laptop for a long time, so assume everything is a P750-136 default on w7. What would you suggest I do? I tried to reinstall the bluetooth stack thing with no luck (taking into account, the bluetooth is working).

What happen when you try to activate the BT using the FN + F8 key combination?

  • Satellite Pro M40X-132: scalable wireless Lan?

    Hello

I have a PC laptop Toshiba M40X-132. It doesn't have a wireless installed inside the adapter. It cable antenna for this card.

On the site where the specifications are listed, I see that the computer is "scalable wireless lan. If you want to check, here is the link: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/selected_product_option.jsp?service=EU&PRODUCT_ID= 104069 & DISC_MODEL = 0

I opened my computer and noticed that there are no slot mini pci installed. However, I found the place on the motherboard that is generally used to install such a slot with a certain set of 15-20 minutes with a weld. :) I know I'm losing my warranty by doing this, but I think it would be better to take the risk that, in order to exploit external PCMCIA or USB devices all the time.

So, I have a slot mini pci I bought in a store for electronic components. The place for the installation of such a location are tinned on the motherboard. I think cleaning of Tin from there and then set the slot I.

The big question is the following: suppose that I managed to solder correctly such a slot on the motherboard. It will work or not? I mean, the slot is just the thing that does not exist, or there is some other components and electronic parts which are now absent and doing this slot work?

Thank you for your advice. I'm really confused.

    Good day! :)

    Hello Stefan

I really put t understand you not at all. First I put t really believe someone make these experiences and you will be very happy if someone has this kind of experience.

And if it works, how you want to install the WiFi antenna? You want to dismantle the entire screen to do this and to do it properly? Believe me that it is a bad idea.

The USB wireless costs about 25 euros and in 10 minutes, you can configure and use the WLAN.

Please think about this one more time.

    Good luck!

  • How to change the color of Satellite Pro P300 settings

I just received my new laptop computer and cannot for the life of me find how to change the color settings in the monitor.
My old desk there was a button on the monitor.

In a first time laptop user im nuts will try to find how to change my monitor settings...

If anyone can help id be so grateful

Please don t mix the portable computers internal monitor with external PC monitor.
You won't find any control unit and on the external monitor that would help you to change the color.

I put t know what your laptop smart chart uses but my laptop supports Intel graphics card and pre-installed (in Control Panel) Intel Graphics Media Accelerator provides a few color correction settings.
The parameters are; color, gamma, brightness and contrast

Here, you can set values between 0 and 100

Have you tried a BIOS update?
This you will find also on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

You have disabled all the security features for testing?
I mean hidden SSID, MAC address filtering and so far. Maybe that's the problem.

Check also if the router has the new firmware. You can find it on the site of the factory

  • Upgrade memory result Satellite Pro A210 to drop out of the station

    OK guys

I have a bios to 2.02 Pro A210 if I remember. I removed the 2 original and fitted with a stick of 2 giga mem chips.
I used it with a stick for a month or two. The worms of Vista I have are the 32 bit (see 3 gig) so I bought another concert of stick 2 mem, of course. Start machine stalls on F12 F2 choice. (issue of bios I think before post) I've not found in Bios anyway to disable checking of mem.

On a reboot that I can't enter Bios just keep arriving on the same screen.
I have removed the second stick of memory and am only using a mem stick once again (all beautiful in this mode). Instead of throwing away my money on the second stick I thought pop-up message and see what ideas you guys can come up with, as to aork close.

Either way, the mem is of good quality and of the same type of manufacturing.
The only thing I have not tried is to put the original 512 sticks see 2nd mem slot has not been damaged. (I have of course the slot is ok)

    See you soon

What is the complete model number?

See the brochure for the maximum memory size.

If you install 3 GB or 4 GB in a laptop that can take a max of 2 GB, it does not start correctly.
