  This question seemed before that you have installed the second module of RAM?

  If this isn't the case, then this problem is certainly related to the second module of RAM.
  What you could do is to spend both modules of memory in a different memory location.
  Sometimes it helps.

  If the BSOD will always appear then you should replace the memory module and need to test another.

• Satellite Pro L20 PSL2YE: 1 GB Ram upgrade does not show in the Bios

  I just bought a 1 GB mem stick samsung 4200 s 533 mhz for my L20.
  It does not show in the Bios or in the main menu in Device Manager, but it shows in cpu - z and pz Assistant 2007.

  I am very confused, and upgrade the bios on toshibas website does not include one for the base PSL2YE L20.
  I wonder if all the bios upgrades L20 will work with my machine.

  I was just given the Satellite Pro R50-B-14U pc.
  After I upgraded from 7 to 8. 1 and I did the updates Toshiba/windows screen randomly goes off, then on again after a second at intervals of about 1/2 hours.

  According to the specifications of the laptop you original Win8.1 DVD facilities, so I assume you are using for the installation of the OS.

  I have a Satellite Pro R50-B-12u with 4 GB of RAM.
  I bought a 4 GB of additional RAM stick but can not see how adapt you it.

  My last Satellite Pro had a memory of flap at the back, but everything I see on the back is about 20 screws but no flap!

  Can someone please help me or point me in the right direction?

  Satellite R50 does not separate memory Bay.
  The memory modules and slots are hidden under the hood.

  To have access to modules, the cover must be removed.
  But I wouldn't recommend doing this because it would negate the warranty!

  I guess that your warranty is still valid and in this case only the authorized technician must perform these updates to keep the warranty valid.

  Because there are so many missing or loose I thoughthat one of these children might do. However, I started to see the same thing is happening in other schools with the cell phones of students and teachers as well s.

  I believe we have more than 50 laptops and all have at least a screwmissing, most have a lot more. I started to see laptops with more than 10 screwsmissing and the case began to unravel. As I see so much of this virtue, being due to a manufacturing problem.

  Is it possible that we can be provided with screws in number (100 +) Datacasting so those missing can be replaced.

  I am COMPUTER technician in a school and we had the same problem - our portable initials were C50-A-1MX models that were very good, but we have recently been making models R50-B-12W who lose all the screws from the bottom and are therefore originally business start to come out, I noticed. Is this a known issue for Toshiba and is there any screws of bugs/spare parts available?

  I have a problem during the 8.1 windows x 64 installation pro. Just after the departure of Assistant installation, an error message appears: "no hard disk found. Click on load a driver to provide a driver for installing mass storage. »

  Satellite Pro R50 - B - 10 K-online bios 1.4
  cricial SSD 120 GB => firmware ok
  8.1 Windows x 64 pro

  (Uefi) bios see the ssd (in gpt)

  For installation: uefi mode, disable secure boot.

  no visible ahci or sata in the bios configuration
  No startup as type ' [uefi] usb windows 8.1.

  -J' have tried to have the right drivers of toshiba and intel, nothing works.
  -So, I tried to clone my hhd for the ssd. It does not work
  -And then I tried to install windows on another hard drive 8.1, it works (-online my copy of windows and my usb boot are good)
  -J' tried to install windows 7 on ssd (MSC mode, ssd in the mbr). It works. (=> my work of ssd)

  Have you tried to install Win 8.1 on the SSD drive using the MBR instead of GPT partition system?

  To be honest, I m confused due to the error message; No hard drive found. Click on load a driver to provide a driver for installing mass storage.

  As far as I know you don t need to add additional drivers try to install Win 8.1.
  The system already contains the basic SATA drivers.

  So I guess there must be a problem between the Win 8.1 and the SSD drive or SSD partitions.

  As mentioned, try to remove the partitions and create a MBR partition then try to install the Win 8.1
  Also try MSC mode.

• Satellite Pro R50-B-V12 - mousepad sends browser back

  I have a Satellite Pro R50-B-V12. I found that if I accidentally drag the top edge of the mouse pad, it is my browser back to a page, boring, especially if I'm filled out a form or making a purchase.
  I'm not using two fingers sliding - he does it with one finger.
  I tried the control panel > devices > mouse properties > advanced > Action dashboard and disabled the Action from the top edge, yet it still happens.

  He thinks perhaps you use two fingers, try turning off the two fingers setting.

  I have a satellite Pro R50 - B preloaded with Win 7 Pro.
  On the bottom row of the keyboard the second key to the left is a FN key.
  Press and hold the FN button active the function keys on the top row.
  I think that's how its supposed to work.
  If you cannot use the function keys, it could be linked to the FN key.

  I wanted to just inform you on an enoying but reproducible BUG:

  Toshiba Satellite Pro R50 - B series:

  You must disable the Intel Management Interface in the Device Manager in the contrary case, the computer laptop didn't shutdown completely / Standbymode will not work.

  Question (Bios V1.4 - Intel ME 11.00.1166):

  Work more than 30 min. then try closing. Screen goes blank - but the LED on the stay before the fan stays on until the battery is completely discharged. Or try to go to sleep mode. Even the stop.

  Just disable Intel ME Manager of year Windows devices you fine.

  Waiting to hear from Toshiba - I m a reseller, so the same problem exists on > 10 notebooks here.

  In the 40 user manual page, you can find information about the movements that are supported (tap, pinc ir stretch and two fingers scrolling).

  Two fingers scrolling present works as follows: place two fingers down and drag them vertically or horizontally anywhere on the touchpad. This allows you to use the window scroll bars.
