Satellite Pro S300 - 11 H: charging not not after re-installation of software

My laptop has been "reset" by a Virus called AdwCleaner last week removal tool (CAUTION - do NOT run it on your laptop - if could ruin your life!)  :(

In any case, the result of it was that I had to take it to a repair shop where they were unable to restore Windows XP I had used since I got the machine, and so they have had to re - install the original Windows Vista which was the OS when I bought it. (I bought a "downgrade" to XP disc with the laptop)

Until that happened, the charging of the battery and everything worked well, but since I'll be back my laptop from the store, battery does not charge.

When I hover over the right low battery icon, it says "3% available, battery not charging".
The battery is OK, because if I unplug the power cable, the laptop stays on.

Is there some setting somewhere that is revealing the machine do not recharge the battery?
How can I get it back to normal?

See you soon,.
Select this option.

Guess what?
I m wondering if the guy installed all the drivers of Toshiba Vista that are released on the Toshiba UE driver page.
http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?

I m thinking in particular software and tools such as value added package

I also recommend you to check the Device Manager.
In Device Manager, expand battery area.
Here, you must first uninstall the
-Battery method to check compatible ACPI Microsoft
-Microsoft AC adapter
-Battery composite Microsoft

Reboot the laptop.
Check how to work the battery charging process
In the case where they would find the new hardware (these would be three uninstalled devices from Device Manager) wait until the system has installed the driver, reboot once again and check the load

  • Satellite L670-11R - SD cards were not after the installation of recovery

    Hallo,

After that I got a virus I couldn't find my SD cards in the workplace (I hope, be called 'place of work' in English').
So I started the recovery of HARD drive and restore the system to the original terms.

But now, I have the same problem:
When I put an SD card in the slot, the dialog box in the lower right shows me, that the drivers have been installed, but I can't find my card. When I put the card SD and back, nothing happens... Only after reinstalling the card-slot-driver from the toshiba-homepage, I can see the dialog box by putting in the SD card. But even once only once and nothing else happens.

So, I don't know if it's a hardware problem (the slot recognizes the card) or a driver problem (with exactly the same system that everything worked fine a year ago).
Does anyone have an idea? If possible, please answer in German, if not, I would be very grateful for each answer.

    Hello

As far as I know the laptop L670-11R supports the Realtek card reader controller. I think you should try the Realtek Realtek driver page driver.

Here you can find the latest version of the driver:

  • Satellite Pro S300 - HDD in caddy is not recognized by BIOS

I replaced the original HARD drive and installed a new SSD that works very well.
Installed the W7Pro and all updates.

I do not use my burner so I replaced the CD drive and installed a shopping cart with my old HDD to have more disk space.

When I start my laptop, I see a message of ERROR of CD-ROM.
In Device Manager the caddy and or the HARD drive is not displayed.

I tried to change settings in the BIOS (according to Toshiba utility the latest version), but even in the Bios is no information about this SSD or HARD drive installed. (or the CD player when I re - install this drive again)

What's not here? Do I need a BIOS updated allowing the 2nd HARD drive?
Or if I forget a setting somewhere?

NB in the BIOS HARD drive drive settingis according to ACPI, the list below it is referred to as IDE device.
When I enter the BIOS IDE instead of ACPI, I still see the CD-ROM ERROR when starting and after this message, the screen is blue and no other activity.

    > What is the problem here? Do I need a BIOS updated allowing the 2nd HARD drive?

To my knowledge, not all laptops support a 2nd HDD rather than the ODD (optical disc)

Also, not all CD/DVD drives are compatible and could be used for all laptops.

So agree with the user above and I think it's the problem of compatibility also.

  • Satellite Pro S300 EZ1514 - could not initialize Solid State Drive (SSD)

    I have a Satellite Pro S300 EZ1514.

Recently I bought a SATA II 64 GB SSD to replace hard drive current cavalry. I first tried to install XP with SATA drivers rationalized in.
The installation process recognized the SSD and has the original file copied to it, but when it restarted to continue the installation process the system wouldn't boot from the drive.

Then I tried to install Vista Business 64 from the recovery disk came with the laptop.
After launching the recovery disc, the said installation process the hard drive has not been initialized and click OK to initialize now.
After clicking OK to initialize the system not restarted that at the end pointing upwards on the screen telling me to initialize the hard disk.

Then I tried initializing the disk manually on my desk.
Plugged into my office, initialized and formatted in NTFS. Plugged into the laptop to retry recovery Vista. And once again the same screen appears. Reconnect the disk SSD the Office to see that the player has is more initialized and was to be initialized again.

Then I gave up and installed the SSD on my desktop under master boot and installed perfectly fine with XP. For testing purposes I then handed the ssd with XP pre-installed in the cell to see what happens. To my dismay the computer laptop would not boot and on top of that when I put the SSD drive in the desktop only to see that the drive has been initialized is no longer and I had to reinstall XP again.

    Conclusion:
It seems that the Satellite Pro S300 series is not easy SSD and just post it self off Initialise the Solid State Drives.
This seems to be the logical conclusion that the SSDS works perfectly well on my desktop and the laptop is fine now with the old turntable hard back in.

Does anyone else have this problem or a solution?
I would still put the SSD in my laptop to save energy.

    Hello

The laptop is equipped with common serial ATA HDD.
The SSD might work, but is not a must.

There are several different SSD on the market and a problem of compatibility of equipment can always happen.
Maybe an other SSD would work properly, but these are just suggestions.

  • Satellite Pro S300 - 11 H - upgrade to Windows 7 is not

    Hello
    I have a Satellite Pro S300 - 11 H running Vista Business.
I registered for the Toshiba Windows 7 Upgrade and received 2 DVDs and minimalist upgrade instructions.

    Following the instructions:
Part 1: Toshiba Upgrade DVD - all the success, after recording all the fingerprints of TrueSuite Access Manager.

Part 2: upgrade to MS Windows 7 DVD - I uninstalled iTunes as it recommended. It then crosses the first steps OK, but on the last step of the installation, it gives the blue screen of death. PC restarts and Vista is restored.

    Part 3: Not running

I wasn't looking over time so don't see does not error messages. Is there a log file of the installation failure Windows 7 that I could check to try to find out why the upgrade failed? Tips and tricks

You can live without TEMPRO. Believe me that. Beast of sounds now but maybe the tool delete as first step I made on my new laptop Satellite.
In any case, if you want to have it just download the latest version of the Toshiba support page.

  • Satellite Pro S300 - screen is blank and can not restart

A week ago, I left my Satellite Pro S300-EZ2502 at night (as usual). It was fine tonight.

The next day, I got a black screen and a flashing light orange on the left side. I tried to turn it off, don't restart, no dice. I tried removing the battery and restart under just current alternative, nothing, I tried the opposite. Nothing. I tried to let the battery and then recharge. No help. Very rarely when I plug it in again, I will get the green light for a few seconds, but then again the yellow flashing light. Nothing EVER on the screen.

I've only had this laptop since MAY! What's wrong!!

Have you installed extra RAM in the system?

Try to remove one of the Modules or swap them around.

Otherwise, it may be a motherboard problem. An FSL can repair it for you - free if its under warranty.

It is not listed under programs and features, so I can't uninstall it from there.

    > It does not appear in programs and features, so I can't uninstall it from there.

I can't believe that if the utility is installed, it should appear in the box programs and features.
On the other hand also the fingerprint driver is installed
So, you can check if you need to uninstall the driver of the fingerprint of the Device Manager.

    > The problem is that I can not locate the file bios containing the bios Setup disk can anyone help?

I could find a BIOS for this series on the Toshiba driver page we
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/downloadDetail.jsp?soID=2496404&PF=true

Zipped package contains the based victory and based back the version of the BIOS.
Unpack this package and read the readme.txt file

There you can find the details of the update of the BIOS using the diskette

  • Satellite Pro S300 - 10-fc06-0002 error recovery disc

I have a Satellite Pro S300 the recovery partition has long been eliminated and the computer was working fine until I opened an e-mail allegedly Fed Ex, ERROR!

A got a malware virus really bad.

So I bought a vista business recovery disk for my computer and wiped hard drive t.He. During the installation of Vista, I get a preinst5.swm missing on the first disc.

After that I skipped the file I got an error of 10-fc06-0002 on the second disc and a cancellation of the installation.
I looked online for this error and a lot of people have had the same problem. Nobody seems to know what to do.

I installed Vista Home Premium from a disk recovery Dell with no problems, however, when I tried to change the product key to that on the computer I got the key was not good for the version of hp vista.

    So what to do.
I think Toshiba made a good product, but the recovery disk, they sent me for $30 was bad.

I thought that I could copy the disc on another computer and copy a good version of preinst5.swm and try to make a good recovery disk, but I don't have a lot of confidence in Toshiba software.

  • Fully operational GPS on Satellite Pro S300 with F3507g card

    Hello

Some good news. I have the GPS works entirely on the Toshiba Satellite Pro S300 with F3507g 3 G card. I think that the measures to make operational work on any Toshiba laptop with the same card.

It requires new 3G Toshiba drivers for the card that exposes the COM7 GPS port, some trick with the COM port for the card out of the location data (this would have been done by a Toshiba application if they support the GPS), then it will work with any application that supports GPS.

I used the land bridge to verify this works and this allows tracking on Google Earth, see [image here | http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/2262/earthbridgepd2.png] (note that I blanked my exact location because it locates my front door). This signal was achieved with the laptop near a window.

What I plan to do is to make a small application to enable or disable the GPS receiver and will post some instructions on how to address all this, which is quite easy other cunning of Com port that I hope, I can make do with a small, free program.
