Satellite Pro S300 - 117 PSSB0E Bios Recovery disk?
Hi I have a Satellite Pro S300-117 PSSB0E-04J00UEN, and it seems that the BIOS was damaged when turned on the power lite 2 flashes green and 2 orange
I'm looking to be able to rewrite the BIOS using a usb floppy drive or usb key that emulates a floppy drive.
The problem is that I can not locate the file bios containing the bios Setup disk can anyone help?
I believe also that the press/hold button when you turn on the power is the one above the tab key but also saw other keys such as F, F, F12 FN and ~. If all the instructions would also be appreciated.
Kind regards
Chris G

I could find a BIOS for this series on the Toshiba driver page we
http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/downloadDetail.jsp?soID=2496404&PF=true
Zipped package contains the based victory and based back the version of the BIOS.
Unpack this package and read the readme.txt file
There you can find the details of the update of the BIOS using the diskette

Satellite Pro A120-185 - need Vista Recovery disk - never get a
Hello, my trusty Satellite Pro C: is completely filled, and so I would wipe and do complete a new installation of Windows.
It came with VISTA on it when I bought it several years ago.
It's a Satellite Pro A120-185 and the operating system only disk I got with it was just something to 'upgrade' disc of Vista.
I bought and paid for Windows Vista with the laptop, thus so I wouldn't have a license can I reinstall? Please note that I am an advanced PC user, I'm not looking for ways to reduce the space that my household is good and I uninstalled everything I do not use or need.
I just want to be able to clean the laptop and reinstall Windows Vista... is it going to be possible? (I don't see why it shouldn't be because Vista came with the laptop!). Please tell me where I can get the windows disk since?
Hi dude
Read the other discussions on this topic even here in the forum.
You didn t get this disk because you create the recovery disk using the Toshiba recovery disc Creator called pre-installed tool.
This was mentioned in the manual as well! However, here you can order the recovery disk that you didn't create yourself.

Any suggestions?
You bought your laptop with the Vista version English?
What language is marked before selecting English? -
Satellite Pro S300-10j and recovery disk
Toshiba Satellite Pro S300-10j recovery disk
OS: Vista Business
Please can someone give me a link.
Very much appreciated.Thank you
Drivers for the supported operating systems you can find on the download page - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
This recovery is not understandable to me.
What do you want exactly? Is that each new Toshiba notebook comes with the image of HARD drive recovery and recovery disk must be created using the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.

Satellite Pro S300 - HDD in caddy is not recognized by BIOS
I replaced the original HARD drive and installed a new SSD that works very well.
Installed the W7Pro and all updates.I do not use my burner so I replaced the CD drive and installed a shopping cart with my old HDD to have more disk space.
When I start my laptop, I see a message of ERROR of CD-ROM.
In Device Manager the caddy and or the HARD drive is not displayed.I tried to change settings in the BIOS (according to Toshiba utility the latest version), but even in the Bios is no information about this SSD or HARD drive installed. (or the CD player when I re - install this drive again)
What's not here? Do I need a BIOS updated allowing the 2nd HARD drive?
Or if I forget a setting somewhere?NB in the BIOS HARD drive drive settingis according to ACPI, the list below it is referred to as IDE device.
When I enter the BIOS IDE instead of ACPI, I still see the CD-ROM ERROR when starting and after this message, the screen is blue and no other activity.Relevant information from PC:

TEAC DV-W28S-RT FW version = 7.0 D> What is the problem here? Do I need a BIOS updated allowing the 2nd HARD drive?
> Or if I forget a setting somewhere? To my knowledge, not all laptops support a 2nd HDD rather than the ODD (optical disc)
Also, not all CD/DVD drives are compatible and could be used for all laptops.
So agree with the user above and I think it's the problem of compatibility also.

Satellite Pro S300 - 10-fc06-0002 error recovery disc
I have a Satellite Pro S300 the recovery partition has long been eliminated and the computer was working fine until I opened an e-mail allegedly Fed Ex, ERROR!
A got a malware virus really bad.
So I bought a vista business recovery disk for my computer and wiped hard drive t.He. During the installation of Vista, I get a preinst5.swm missing on the first disc.
After that I skipped the file I got an error of 10-fc06-0002 on the second disc and a cancellation of the installation.
I looked online for this error and a lot of people have had the same problem. Nobody seems to know what to do.I installed Vista Home Premium from a disk recovery Dell with no problems, however, when I tried to change the product key to that on the computer I got the key was not good for the version of hp vista.
So what to do.
I think Toshiba made a good product, but the recovery disk, they sent me for $30 was bad.I thought that I could copy the disc on another computer and copy a good version of preinst5.swm and try to make a good recovery disk, but I don't have a lot of confidence in Toshiba software.
Help
If you have a model of cell phone US please try to ask for help on Toshiba we forum http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Computers/ct-p/c_laptops/tshb
Maybe someone can help with this. To be honest, this error message is not known to me and the correct address for help should be closest to Toshiba service provider.
Call them, explain the situation and ask for help. This error must be known to them and I hope they can give good advice you how to solve this problem.

How to enter the BIOS on my Satellite Pro S300 settings?
Hello
It may sound silly, but I'm trying to access the BIOS on my TOSHIBA Satellite Pro S300-EZ1511 menu and I can't, I searched for this on the manual but I couldn't find anything.
I need to go there if I change the SATA to IDE settings so I can install windows XP system after I formatted the Vista.
Thank you
It should be in the manual somewhere.
Turn on the laptop and hold the ESCAPE key. When it prompts you, and then press F1.

Satellite Pro S300 EZ1514 - could not initialize Solid State Drive (SSD)
I have a Satellite Pro S300 EZ1514.
Recently I bought a SATA II 64 GB SSD to replace hard drive current cavalry. I first tried to install XP with SATA drivers rationalized in.
The installation process recognized the SSD and has the original file copied to it, but when it restarted to continue the installation process the system wouldn't boot from the drive. Then I tried to install Vista Business 64 from the recovery disk came with the laptop.
After launching the recovery disc, the said installation process the hard drive has not been initialized and click OK to initialize now.
After clicking OK to initialize the system not restarted that at the end pointing upwards on the screen telling me to initialize the hard disk. Then I tried initializing the disk manually on my desk.
Plugged into my office, initialized and formatted in NTFS. Plugged into the laptop to retry recovery Vista. And once again the same screen appears. Reconnect the disk SSD the Office to see that the player has is more initialized and was to be initialized again. Then I gave up and installed the SSD on my desktop under master boot and installed perfectly fine with XP. For testing purposes I then handed the ssd with XP pre-installed in the cell to see what happens. To my dismay the computer laptop would not boot and on top of that when I put the SSD drive in the desktop only to see that the drive has been initialized is no longer and I had to reinstall XP again.
Conclusion:
It seems that the Satellite Pro S300 series is not easy SSD and just post it self off Initialise the Solid State Drives.
This seems to be the logical conclusion that the SSDS works perfectly well on my desktop and the laptop is fine now with the old turntable hard back in.Does anyone else have this problem or a solution?
I would still put the SSD in my laptop to save energy.Hello
The laptop is equipped with common serial ATA HDD.
The SSD might work, but is not a must. There are several different SSD on the market and a problem of compatibility of equipment can always happen.
Maybe an other SSD would work properly, but these are just suggestions. -
Satellite Pro S300 - how to enter the supervisor password?
Hello
I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro S300-11 years and have a problem. One day, I decided that wanted to put a password for the supervisor to the bios of the laptop. Now, I remember this password, but when I have access to the BIOS Setup, I can't watch any o change option disable this password. I can't enter this password to set me a supervisor, and also I can't change some options with respect to the example, the boot sequence.
How can I remove this password or how do I log in as a supervisor? I see no option for this, and I need to change the boot sequence.
A big thank you.
Hello
On this that I can only say, check your user manual! ;)
There, I created the following information:
+ C:\Program Files\Toshiba\PassowrdUtility\TOSPU.exe+
+ This utility allows you to do the following: +.
+ Register, remove, or change the supervisor password.
+ Create or cancel a supervisor password token +.Check this and then you should be able to remove the password if you know the current.
Welcome them

Satellite Pro S300 - cannot extend the desktop to an external monitor
Hello
I have a Satellite Pro S300 and it won't extend the desktop to an external monitor / projector, but it will clone the desktop?so far I have tried:
2 instructors and 1 projector all do the same thing, will clone but not extend.
Reinstall the latest drivers to display on the Toshiba site.
Reinstall the latest drivers of change on the Toshiba site. But nothing worked, I even checked my S300 colleagues to make sure that I use the same parameters and their (of 2 other s300) extend and clone office.
Has anyone seen this before and how solve you the problem?
Paul
Did you first remove the old driver before you install the new driver? If this is not the case, try to reinstall the driver again. Therefore, to remove the old driver, restart the computer, use CCleaner to clean the registry and install the new version you can find on the Toshiba site.
More I would try updating the BIOS. You can find it on the Toshiba site too.
I hope it works for you.

Satellite Pro S300 - Performance issues running Everquest 2
Hello, I am currently using the Satellite Pro S300-EZ1511.
I was trying to find a way to share the memory in the BIOS, but I've been reading around and it seems that you can not do this with these laptops... My question is, what I currently play the game Everquest 2, and I was talking to someone of performance that I currently have to run the game on the lowest setting, and we exchanged Plug and it turned out that his laptop was actually not as good as mine, but he managed to run the game with a better graphic quality.
Anyone who is familiar with this game, or you have any advice on how to increase the video if possible memory or to simply improve performance?I think I should at least be able to run a top quality graphics game layer is... I was looking in the graphic propertiese (when you right-click on the desktop) and under setting 3d but alas I'm not sure what those setting are.
Any help would be appreicated.I find it strange that my laptop older can run this top quaility set then this laptop from new and better.
> I think it was 1 G of ram and 64 MB or 128 MB ATI onboard card video (I think it was the 128)
I think that this is the reason why the game runs better on your old laptop because it of a ATI card and these cards are designed for games. There are a lot more nVidia and ATI cards, they are much better than the most recent card Intel graphics.
As resident said Intel cards are not designed for games. Also did you check the system requirements for the game? He argues that Intel graphics card in your laptop?
The graphics settings are ok. S default settings and for better compatibility and performance. It do not change anything.
If you read on the internet that other people changed some settings why ask n t they? These people he'll know what to change, but I doubt that this can help you but it s worth a try! ;) -
Satellite Pro S300 - 11 H: charging not not after re-installation of software
My laptop has been "reset" by a Virus called AdwCleaner last week removal tool (CAUTION - do NOT run it on your laptop - if could ruin your life!) :(
In any case, the result of it was that I had to take it to a repair shop where they were unable to restore Windows XP I had used since I got the machine, and so they have had to re - install the original Windows Vista which was the OS when I bought it. (I bought a "downgrade" to XP disc with the laptop)
Until that happened, the charging of the battery and everything worked well, but since I'll be back my laptop from the store, battery does not charge.
When I hover over the right low battery icon, it says "3% available, battery not charging".
The battery is OK, because if I unplug the power cable, the laptop stays on.Is there some setting somewhere that is revealing the machine do not recharge the battery?
How can I get it back to normal?See you soon,.

Guess what?
I m wondering if the guy installed all the drivers of Toshiba Vista that are released on the Toshiba UE driver page.
http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?I m thinking in particular software and tools such as value added package
I also recommend you to check the Device Manager.
In Device Manager, expand battery area.
Here, you must first uninstall the
-Battery method to check compatible ACPI Microsoft
-Microsoft AC adapter
-Battery composite MicrosoftReboot the laptop.
Check how to work the battery charging process
In the case where they would find the new hardware (these would be three uninstalled devices from Device Manager) wait until the system has installed the driver, reboot once again and check the load
