Satellite Pro U400 - 13G: Modem driver installation failed

Hello

I tried to install the drivers for my modem provided by toshiba, but after the execution of the installation utility installation said installation faild.

I also tried to use drivers provided by driveragent.com, as well as Windows Update, the same result.

None of the drivers I have tried works, IV ' e even tried to look up the ID of material on google, same result.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Hello!

Try to install the drivers manually in the Device Manager > update driver. Maybe it works.
Download and install the latest driver for your laptop from the Web from Toshiba website.

The hardware ID, you can see on this site:
http://www.PCIDatabase.com/

If doesn't work, you should try to update the BIOS. Search on the Toshiba site for an update.

Good bye

The other day I uninstalled many programs standard of his Toshiba Satellite U400 - 13G, because it has been very slow in implementing.
But now I realized that his FN hotskeys does not work.

I tried to look in the support forum and the list of drivers, but I can't find the answer.

So the question is what program/driver should I install to get the keyboard shortcuts to work again. It is running vista 32 bit.

    Hello

Well buddy. For the future I'll give you a tip ;)
Never remove any parts/software if you n t know what they are for ;)

The Satellite Pro U400 - 13G seems belongs to the PSU45E series.
Choose this model number to download driver form Toshiba Europe.
Then download the package of value added.

To reinstall this PPV you will need to remove the preinstalled old VAP.
Do it and after rebooting again to install the new downloaded package added value.

In my view, that the FN buttons should then work.

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro U400 - 13G that connects external monitors with VGA port.

I am running Vista Ultimate 64-bit with the latest graphics drivers from intel, I also tried the drivers from the Toshiba download site.

    Anyway... I tried 3 different external screens to connect a LG with resolution 1280 x 1024, an acer projector with resolution 1024 x 768 and a Samsung SyncMaster 226BW running 1680 x 1050.

All these monitors simply sparkles... a higher resolution = more flicker. It seems to be worse with gray background.

I tried the system Windows 7 RC1, same problem.

When I unplug my diet, Twinkle seems to be... a little reduced, there is still a lot of flicker.

Someone knows how to fix this?

    So how to proceed;
First remove the old webcam software.
Then clean the operating system using the CCLeaner
Then update the Vista of the State (you must restart the operating system several times)

  • Satellite Pro U400-130 - hard drive Partition - help

    Hi all

    I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite Pro U400-130 mobile - cell PSU45E-005005EN

Processor Intel Core 2 Duo (T8400) 2.26 GHz, the front side Bus speed: 1066 MHz, level 2: 3 MB Cache
    3072 MB (1024 + 2048 MB) DDR2 RAM
    250 GB hard drive
    Microsoft Windows Vista Business Edition

What I've found, is that the hard drive is partitioned into two separate drives

    1. the drive C - 117 GB - hand player - all programs, user accounts and files of work / are saved on the C drive.
2 drive E - 113 GB - A folder titled HDDRecovery (size 4.42 GB) nothing elese is on the E drive.
    3. This only totals to 230 GB, then where is the other 20 GB?

I want to know/how is is:

    1. Why are we doing this way?
    2. What is the purpose of the file recovery Drive E and it does not require the space of 113 GB?

    3. If I increase the size of drive C to say 55GO and decrease the size of drive E?
    3.1 is it possible?
    3.2 what impact will?

    4. the drives C and E only total 230 GB so where is the other 20 GB?

    Can someone please help

    Thank you very much

    Vash01

    (1) the HARD disk is partitioned into 3 partitions and not 2! Go to the disk management utility and you will see that there is a hidden partition. This hidden partition is created by Vista. It contains the necessary backup files that are needed for the repair of the system, if something goes wrong with your operating system.

    (2) the second partition contains the record of recovery of HARD drive that allows you to retrieve the laptop without using recovery discs. But of course, you are able to create a recovery disk and it s highly recommended to create a recovery disk using the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.

3.1 I think that this could be possible, but before that you'd change any partition size I recommend the creation of the recovery disk because there is a high risk that after changing the size of partitions you drive HARD recovery option does not work.

    3.2) see point 3.1

4.) I think the other hidden partition using this 20 GB. Also please note that 250GB are not really 250 GB 1 GB is not 1000MB but 1024MB.
This means that the 250 GB HARD drive is not 250 000 MB but 238 418 MB

  • Satellite Pro L850-1DV: manual driver installation repair md5 command

Technical support could please provide some details on the correct order to install the downloaded drivers from Toshiba for a Satellite Pro L850-1DV for Windows 7?

Also, is there another method to install the drivers to download and unzip the 44 separate drivers?
I remember there are 47 drivers that are installed during a repair recovery partition but 44 available for download.

I guess things like the creative software recovery media are not included in these downloaded drivers, or something else that does not included?
I would like to try an install of Windows 7 media.

I could also ask if anyone with a L850-1DV and appropriate tools, such as a Linux installation might be able to tell me the sum of md5 checksum for the recovery hard disk partition. That would be fantastic!

  • Satellite Pro A120 - PSAC1E Modem Driver WinXP

    Hello everyone,

I have Satellite Pro A120 - PSAC1E and I'm looking to WinXP Driver Modem, can someone tell me where to get it?
I tried to download driver for this model on the site of Toshiba, but with no luck to find the modem driver that I have found to reset the drivers.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi dude

The modem driver was published on the European driver Toshiba page.
I'm sure because I checked the pilot site and found all the necessary drivers for XP and the modem in the Satellite Pro A120 PSAC1 driver download area.

May I ask if you have installed the drivers of Toshiba in the right order?
    It is very important.
Backgrounder statement instillation on the pilot website shows you how to install all the drivers.

Just a note; You can install the driver for the modem from Device Manager.
You must mark the unknown device (modem) and have point to the driver files that have been unpacked in the downloaded modem driver package.

Whenever I boot, I get an error message saying that there is a problem with the driver for web cam - words in this sense.
How can I reinstall these drivers?

    Hello

First of all, you need to remove the webcam of windows operating system software.
You can do this in Control Panel-> software
You have to find Chicony webcam software.
Remove it, reboot the system, then clean it using CCleaner (freetool).
After reboot again install the webcam software again once you have downloaded from the driver page.

  • Satellite Pro U400-11V - Installation using the floppy from XP downgrade

    Hello

Yesterday I had to replace my HARD drive once it is simply dead.
I didn't know it was a big deal that I had lost any data.
I would just like to re - install Windows XP using the Downgrade XP disk came with the laptop.

It turns out that: I have about 10 discs Downgrade XP each almost identical looking and everyone, I assume, associated with a particular Toshiba laptop my company bought at some point.
Now, I have no idea what drive is the one that came with my Toshiba Satellite Pro U400-11V.

    What I did:
    -We selected at random.
    -Installed Win Xp Pro.
    -Tried to activate Windows.
-It indicates that the product key is bad (and some drivers are missing, so it is obviously not the disc that came with the laptop, but he got me so far).
-Correct the product key according to the key that is located on a sticker at the bottom on the laptop *.
    * On the sticker, this key is an OEMAct Windows Vista Business key, the OS of the laptop came with.
-L'activation of Windows will not accept the key to the sticker.

    So I have 2 questions:
    1. is there another method of re - install Windows XP Pro using the * original * Downgrade XP disk that came with?
2 (leading to #1) is it possible to identify which drive is the one shipped with my laptop? Perhaps by checking some serial numbers on the disc?

Worst case scenario I'll have to make (at most) 10 Windows installs until one works.
But I was really hoping some help & advice.

I can't wait to hear all the answers,
    Thank you!

Your ad is really funny :D

I put t know how your Win XP drive looks like. My laptop came with the recovery disk and it was mentioned on the label that it's Toshiba recovery disc.

In addition he s already enabled so I put t need to activate the operating system by using this key.
Also, the key at the bottom of the unit belongs to the preinstalled operating system and it will NOT work with the new Win XP or another operating system.

But back to your Win XP disks
I recommend that you check the single disc... maybe a disc is already activated
