    Hello

I am aware that the driver for my on-board graphics card is outdated.
When I download a updated from ATI driver and try to install, it tells me that I can't install the update the system there and contact Toshiba for the updates.

Please can someone tell how can I get a driver updates for this card on my Satellite Pro A100 series?

    Concerning

    Macca.

    Hello

You can not install drivers ATI ATI site because these drivers are not designed and certified for Toshiba laptops.
These drivers can affect the functionality of notebooks and in worst cases could overheat your GPU

    * So if you want to use these drivers, you can do it but only at your own risk! *

    You can install this driver in Device Manager;
You must use the Advanced installation procedure and you will have to indicate where the graphic driver files were stored on the HARD drive

  • Satellite Pro 4340: How to get older versions of BIOS?

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro 4340 and I recently updated the BIOS from v2.6 to v2.7 unfortunately since then randomly, the laptop freezes and requires a reset. Check the error log indicates a fault in which case the ACPI BIOS is written in an unauthorized area. I would now go back to BIOS version 2.6, however the support from Toshiba site only lists the current BIOS v2.7 and not the older versions. How can I get the old version? Anyone here happen to have a backup?

    Thank you

    Ben.

Unfortunately, to my knowledge, you will find only the most recent update of the BIOS on Toshiba page.
I don't think that the authorized service provider is able to downgrade the BIOS to the original version

How can I get the software WinDVD and Drag'n Drop CD for my Satellite Pro 2100 without the recovery disk?

    Post edited by: yirms

This is not possible because this additional software is not available on the download page of Toshiba why?
Because this isn't a Toshiba Software, but software manufacturers, 3rd party.
This software comes with the recovery disc and can only be used with your laptop!

I think it has something to do with licensing issues

  • Satellite Pro A300D - how to get Vista drivers

I bought a Toshiba Satellite Pro A300D laptop a few days ago.
The first task was to wipe Vista Home Premium there and put professional Vista I needed to connect to a domain.

I did this and then install the drivers from the Toshiba driver download pages.
There were a lot of riders who have failed, but I managed to fix most of the problems aside when I display the laptop to a projector, I can start cutting the bottom of the external display only.

In any case, I am now led to believe that there is recovery of HARD drive on the disk that could give me the right drivers that they have been installed at the arrival of the laptop.
How can I get these out of the system on a disk for example so that I can resinstall?

    Thanks for your time.

    Hello

    > Anyway, I am now led to believe that there is recovery of HARD drive on the disk that could give me the right drivers that they have been installed at the arrival of the laptop. How can I get these out of the system on a disk for example so that I can reinstall?

I think that this is not possible because the recovery of HARD drive contains only unique image files and you will not be able to get only the unique drivers of the recovery image.

HARD drive recovery can be used to perform a new installation of operating system from the HARD disk (without using the disc).

The European driver Toshiba page usually contains all drivers Vista compatible and necessary for your laptop model. So I doubt that your problem with the projector might have something to do with the Vista drivers.

  • Satellite Pro A200 how to get a Vista 64 bit of Toshiba Recovery disk

I have a portable satellite Pro A200 computer and I would like to install Vista 64-bit.
As I read it, you can use the 32-bit key to install the 62-bit version. Is there a way to get the "product recovery disc" in a 64-bit version.

    Or download it from somewhere

    Hello

What OS came preinstalled on your laptop?
If it's a 32 bit Vista OS, then you can only get a 32-bit Vista Toshiba recovery CD.

If you want to install another OS, no matter if it of XP or Vista 64-bit, you must purchase the operating system of Microsoft.

PS: as far as I know the key to series used for Vista 32 bit OS is only an OEM key and it does not work with other operating systems!

  • Satellite Pro A100 - how to get the Wlan connection works

    Help!

I'm a total beginner, and my problem is I can get a connection without wire only when I'm really close to my BT hub.
My son has a laptop and gets a good connection anywhere in the House and even outside.

He thinks I have a dodgy wireless adapter, this could be the problem?
    Can I fix it myself?

    Maybe download a new driver?
Any suggestions would be much apreciated.

    Hello

Your ad is not really useful.
I mean that there is no detail about your problem
You should first check if the laptop supports the wireless network card.
This can be done in the Device Manager.

Usually the WLan card must appear in Manager devices-> network adapters.
If it s are not it is that the WLan card is not built in or the driver WLan is not installed. If the WLan driver is not installed then you should see yellow exclamation (or unknown device).

But if the wireless network adapter is listed correctly then you should check if the WLan notebooks have been enabled. In order to activate the WLan you have to press FN + F8 and you put the switch on IT until the small LED flash.

Finally, to configure the WiFi connection (right name WLan, encryption settings, etc...)

  • Satellite Pro A300 - how to get the sound on the TV with VGA cable?

    Hello world

I have a real problem connecting my Satellite Pro A300 to my Samsung HDTV.
The video works fine - I used a VGA connection on the laptop and the TV.

The problem I have is healthy.
I want the sound either also come from the TV. I tried a jack of 3.5 m from the headphone jack of the laptop to a red and white connection RCA audio on the TV, but it doesn't seem to work.

Does anyone have any ideas or advice?
I need of additional drivers, etc., or do some settings need to be changed etc etc.

    Hello

Normally, to use the 3.5 mm jack plug in the headphones, you need an adapter cable.
At one end, it has a 3.5 mm jack and the other side to connect red and white audio RCA connections.
Here is an example of what I mean:
    http://www.optimization-world.com/IMG/prod/3_5_mm_rca_audio.jpg

I m using such an adapter without any problem. You n t need an additional driver, or something more. It's the same as if you were using a helmet. :)

  • Satellite Pro P300 - how to get the original without media image?

    Hello

I received a Satellite Pro P300 and there the for win xp recovery disk, I would go back to the installation of Vista pre installed if possible.

The recovery on the hard disk partition is not available, so I guess, that it cannot be recovered. Is it possible to buy an original image?

Liam is just that Win 7 is better than Vista OS.
So if you have the ability to install Win 7 I recommend doing this instead of Vista.

However, the Toshiba recovery disc contain only the Vista OS.

  • Satellite Pro A100: How to get a new keyboard

    Hello.

I managed to spill beer on my keyboard, and now some keys no longer work. This is the version for the Satellite Pro A100 Uk. Can anyone recommend a place that sells the replacememts, because I can't seem to find anywhere in England.

    Otherwise, advice on fixing?

    Hello

All the parts for your laptop, you can buy from the Toshiba service partner in your country.
ASP in the United Kingdom, you will find this Toshiba site under find authorized service partner.
    _eu http://eu.Computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=eu&ID=Support_Homepage

In addition, you can also visit this Toshiba options & Accessories site.
    HTTP://EU.COMPUTERS.TOSHIBA-EUROPE.COM/CGI-BIN/TOSHIBACSG/JSP/OPTIONSANDACCESSORIESHOME.DO?SERVICE=EU&ID=ONLINE _ SHOP

There, you can search the compatible keyboard.

To replace the keyboard you have first of all remove the thin cover above the keyboard (F-keys)
Then, you must remove the screws that attach the keyboard. Then, it should be possible to leave the keyboard. But be careful. The keyboard is connected with the flat cable to the motherboard.

    Hello

I found a new page of Toshiba.

    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

It s an online store of Media Backup of Toshiba Europe and you should be able to order your CD of restoration on this page.

_Regarding your FN order issue: _
If you are using Win XP on your laptop, you must install the Hotkey utilities for display devices and Hotkey Utility get the FN buttons work.

One thing is very important; If you install your operating system manually, please ensure you install drivers for Toshiba and utility in the right order. On the Toshiba driver page, you can find the installation instruction txt file and you would find the mentioned order insall. Follow this all in the driver installation procedure!

  • Satellite Pro L - how to get the 2 GB RAM recognized?

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and I cannot get my laptop to recognize kingston DDR2 2x1GB two identical cards.

I first had 512 MB card and replaced, which, with the cards Go too 1 booted up and system show only 896 MB so asumed 1 card was defective. 1 remove maps and 1 left in the slot in the bottom, rebooted and still 896 MB, rearranged 1 with the other card 1 GB and initialized and same 896 MB or something. If the two cards into the lower slot but not work together so I thought then perhaps the top slot was not working.
I tried both cards 1 GB by themselves in the top housing and both show 896 MB.

So I then tried the original 512 MB with 1 the1GB cards and weak a system here is reading 1.37 g of ram. My question is how can I get both the Rams from 1 GB to start working so bed 2 GB system?

    Hey Buddy,

Before you start a lengthy discussion, you should post which model of laptop, you use. Maximum use of RAM depends on the motherboard, chipset and BIOS.

But now that it sounds like that the modules are not compatible to your laptop.
