  If you are looking for second hand parts then I would recommend the search on Ebay for a Satellite 1800-514 of second-hand sites.
  Especially a full section of second hand is much less expensive than individual parts and devices!

  In my opinion, you can use the entire Satellite 1800 series parts.
  The screen, keyboard, FL inverter and the screen frame must be the same.

  Toshiba specification indicates that an adapter of automatic detection is provided which will toggle automatically between 110V USA and UK 240V. I think that it is reasonable to assume that the unit is not affected by the UK power system. :-)

  I hope you find someone who can send you see images you want good luck! Unfortunately I n t have Satellite A210 so that I can t send you these images.

  What you can do if you can't find anyone does not install Windows on a second partition or another HARD drive. Then you can make the images yourself you want.
  If you have another HARD drive, you can install Windows Toshiba recovery disc. Then install CPU - Z and take pictures. If you have just handed the original HDD with Linux so you have lost nothing, but you have all the images you need. :)

  Satellite C855 1QE belongs to the PSCBYE series and in General, you can use all motherboards that have been released for Satellite C855 PSCBYE models

  Also Toshiba pulled C855 Satellite in different regions... for example motherboards for Satellite C855 PSCBYU (last letter U means USA) or Satellite C855 PSCBYA (an Australian way) would be compatible also.

  I have a question about the Toshiba international warranty policy, I searched but did not find the answer on the site.

  I have a P105-S9722 I bought February last year and the warranty expired in Feb 08.
  The whole screen has been replaced for free in November last due to a failure.

  Now, I have a related problem screen developed a few days ago (gray vertical line in the Middle - probably needs another replacement). (the initial expiration date is more, 7 months since the replacement)

  I would like to know if the screen can I extended warranty Auto for another year 1 (from Nov 07) or not. Local distributor said 'no', I called another country, they said only for the replaced, it IS extended. Now I am confused if I pretend to replace it for free.

  What is then the standard of international politics and what should I do?

  Hmm. Your laptop is an American series and it seems to be designed for the American market.
  I'm not sure about the warranty but American policy as far as I know the European specifications are covered by the warranty for a year.

  It is a standard warranty and if you register your laptop on the European site of Toshiba, then, your guarantee will be extended to 2 years.

  If something has been replaced on your laptop, then the new part is covered by the warranty for about 6 months.

  You can search for compatible graphics cards until you die ;) and you will not succeed :(
  Why?... because portable computers cannot be upgraded with a different graphics card.
  The graphics card is attached to the motherboard and it s not removable on a simple passerby!

  That is why don t waste a time for any upgrade GPU! If you need then computer to play latest games I would not recommend buying a desktop PC as desktop PC parts are easy removable and you can upgrade the parts such as the CPU and GPU on a simple way!

  I could not find the drivers for the toshiba A135-SP4088, we bought 3 of them to the office and it is almost impossible to use with vista, so we go to XP SP2 and manage to get almost all pilots of the other models, but I can't find 2 utilities that work with this machine, they are:
  Toshiba power management (remember the bulb in the taskbar) :D

  Hotkey Utility (so I can change the brightness of the screen and go to hibernation (Fn + F4)

  I have al the rest works very well, but these two are a real problem, none of the ones I tested worked, some same crash XP and must return to a previous restore point.

  also, I did not install ACPI drivers, are they necessary?, what are those that show I'm looking for? given that the model does not exist in the csd.toshiba.com site.

  Now, how one of the largest manufacturers of laptops in the world can build a such nice computer without drivers for the most common operating system?, can someone explain me this because I sincerely do not understand.
