Satellite T130 - 10G: extra port for mini SSD?

Hi there :)

I found an empty port in my T130, near the port of hard drive, see also here-> [klick | http://www11.pic-upload.de/08.07.14/3aosd93avlc5.jpg]

It's a job mSATA-Port for mini-SSD as "ADATA SX300 mSATA SSD 128 GB"
so I can use both, _and_ SSD HARD drive? *

Thank you

(* for example: Partition boot and Windows: SSD, data partitions: HARD drive)

Hello

I'm quite sure this isn t mSATA and this series doesn't support the mSATA SSD definitely m.

Fact is that belonging to the same series models support different hardware specifications.
For example: some models have been fitted with one: module 3G miniPCI and module Bluetooth Mini-PCI and some models supported only the miniPCI WiFi card.

My Firefox does not read any video or flash content more. And in watching the news of repair troubleshooting/malfunction in Firefox under graphics, he said that "Direct2D activated" and 'WebGL Renderer' have been blocked because of the version of the graphics driver.

I downloaded a new version on the Toshiba site, but an update of the driver can not find the new version.
I had briefly solved the problem by installing the new driver from the file but it is not recognized in Device Manager.

Automatic update through Windows just tells me that the driver is up-to-date.
    I have the Satellite T130 - 10G.

Would be great if someone could help.

    Thank you!

Hmmmm... as you know Toshiba doesn't support third party software so I think that your question has nothing to do with Toshiba directly.

You find the same content with other browsers?

  • Satellite T130 - 10G Touchpad screen pointer gets stuck in random patterns

Satellite T130 - 10G Touchpad screen pointer gets stuck in random patterns and laptop computer must be restarted to restore functionality
The center of the causes of "touchpad button" toggle switch by pressing the touchpad pointer to enter a random State like two fingers to zoom.

Sometimes, he'll be back to normal, but most of the time the computer should be put to sleep or restarted to restore functionality.

    a. I tried turn off all touch pad feature one item at a time and all, he still has some weird random State.
(Did not try the impossible combination need $ to be interested but went to the 90% level)

    b. I tried disable the touch pad buttons offending and only using the mode tap the buttons and the problem still persist.

    c. Finally, tried bending the entire keyboard instead of pressing the buttons and it has also created the problem.

This leads me to believe either the power key or flexion of the entire keyboard is originally is

    a. flexion of the touch pad causing the driver getting into a crazy State or require a recalibration.

    b. electrical connections causing the driver enter a crazy State or require a recalibration of bending.

Note: I have reinstall the latest version of the driver.
Also: American Toshiba support site that this problem exists in the notebooks of May.

Also: The touchpad is too sensitive, which makes it very unusable!

Have you tried to install the operating system and check the functionality of the touchpad with the factory settings?
Recovery image contains tested the touchpad and right and I don't think that helps the driver installation.

  • Satellite T130-17F - upgrade to the Mini-PCI Wireless card

    Hi mate

Usually the laptop supports WLan miniPCI module. This means that usually the other WLan miniPCI cards should work, but I read also here in the forum that it is not always the case and sometimes other WLan miniPCI card would not me recognized correctly.

But why you try n t a simple solution like a USB WLan stick?
It is the simpler and in my opinion the best solution for you.
You will not need to disassemble the laptop. This means that there is no risk of damage and the warranty

That's why I recommend you try this solution.

How can I start a USB PEN in my satellite T130 without a cd/dvd player?
I want to install Ubuntu in my laptop.

    Can someone help me?

    Hello

You must use a USB bootable flash key.
Then you could try to choose the USB key as device, press F12 when applying power in the start unit. Then a menu with bootable devices should appear.
Then, you can use the arrow keys to choose the USB as a source of start-up.

  • Cloning of a Satellite L50 - A - 19 p for one SSD

    Hello

I am new to Windows 8 and the following problem:

I have a C50-A-19. In want to replace the hard drive with an SSD. I tried some tools, I found the installation key and treid to install a new Windows 8 for the SSD (with a window s8 DVD, but there is no as the key).

Then I created the recovery media (3 DVDs), replaced the HARD drive and now I can not start on the first DVD. Windows 8 is completely stop, I tried to change the boot order, holding "0" while the start-up and the start menu - it just says, that there is no media inserted.

How can I get Windows 8 on the SSD? Why my DVD of Windows 8 does not accept the license key?

    Thanks for any help.
    Kind regards
    Heiko

    > Why my DVD of Windows 8 does not accept the license key?
Microsoft changes the own activation procedure and you will get the key of Windows 8 Microsoft if you buy Windows 8 System. The 8 Windows preinstalled on Toshiba OS would be activated automatically all in the first place the system configuration and the internet connection. Then insert the serial key is not necessary.

    Regarding the startup problem:
The readers of CD/DVD laser lens is maybe dirty. Try to clean the laser lens with cotton wool trick and liquid alcohol. In the case where it wouldn't help you, you can copy (burn) the recovery disk created using another computer. I had good experience using DVD R TDK discs.

    Check it out.

  • Satellite T130 is no longer able to restart (reboot)

    I have satellite T130 - 10G PST3AE bios v2.7 and he can't restart.
After a reboot the white of the screen the fan made noisy becames for a short time and that's it.
To start it again, it is necessary to turn it on. It starts normally.

Reboots tried Win7, Linux Fedora, Bios Setup (when it is saved), ctrl-alt-del before start of operating system (Start menu). The result was always as shown.

    Thank you for any suspicion.

I think it's hardware related issue, given that this problem seems to appear by using all the different systems (windows, linux)

But have you ever tried the new installation of the OS? If this isn't it!

Return to the idea where a malfunction of the equipment:
I think first the RAM modules should be tested and verified. Given that the RAM modules could cause such or similar issues, I think it's a good idea to check this part.
The best would be the use of nine tested modules, though.

But if the motherboard is affected, the new modules would be not useful much :(

  • Satellite T130 - need help after update for Windows 8

    Hello

    I use Satellite T130 Y9075161W serial number.

There is no support for windows 8 (especially the drivers).
It's very disappointing. In my case, I installed windows 8 and I have a few problems.

The touchpad is 'dead' and the shortcut as WHAT WLAN cannot be used anymore.
Are there users who have installed windows 8 on this system?

    Best regards
    aisakos

You are right. This old piece of hardware is not supported for Win8 and Toshiba offer not only any what Win8 driver, the tool and the utility. You shouldn't be disappointed. Toshiba and other manufacturers of portable does not offer support for all operating systems, especially for older models of laptops.

It can be very problematic to use newer OS on the old machine.
I can see it is fully supported for Win7 64 bit so I think it's the best OS for this little machine.

In any case, let's see if some other owners have little luck with Win8 installed.

    I have a brand new satellite T130.
Unboxing conversion, I noticed that the CPU usage is most of the time very high, even if it has nothing (no application does not work).

Sometimes it hits 100% and rest there for a few minutes.
I installed the most recent BIOST I could find on the Toshiba site, but nothing changes.

    Any ideas?
    I don't like just-out-the-box-unit already causes disorders!

    Hi mate

There are many applications that run in the background.
Most of them is installed by Toshiba and these tools control the features of the laptop as keys FN, multi, eco button command buttons, etc.

You can see the ruing applications in the Task Manager. There you can also see what background process requires the use of the CPU.
