Satellite T130 - stuck on the loading screen - new hard drive required

After a message on the screen saying back up your hard drive, it will fail quickly and pressing F1 it seems so stuck on the loading screen. I'm not too good with computers. I just have to buy a new hard drive to get the laptop working again, or is much more complicated than that. My guess is this one.

Thanks in advance for any help provided

The first question is: did you create recovery media (USB key)?
If do not do this if for a long time your HARD drive works OK. original recovery image is saved on the HARD drive, but you must have it USB backup that you can use to install if the disk needs to be replaced.
Do it as soon as possible. More info on what you can read in s operating manuals.

What to do with the HARD drive? In my opinion if long as it works it has no reason to panic. Use your laptop as usual. If you notice some performance or more error messages problems I think that you should replace it.

Replacing the HARD drive doesn't have to be so problematic. HARD drive cover must be placed in the lower corner of your laptop. The smallest is RAM and cotyledon should be for the HARD drive. Check it out.

Before do you that this is remove the battery and unplug your computer laptop AC adapter / CC.

If you have no experience with such things please don't made some risky step. You can damage something.

If so, check if the Date and time is correct.

If she is not and again become incorrect after reset correctly, then turn off machine, then turn again, it's a battery CMOS failed in the motherboard, the origin of the problem.

  • Satellite A100 PSAA2E Setup hangs after connecting new HARD drive

    Hello

I have a problem with TOSHIBA Satellite A100 PSAA2E (3 year old laptop)
I bought the new SAMSUNG SPINPOINT 250 GB SATA (model HM250JI) hard drive.

After connection, the computer hangs on the first screen. I can't access the BIOS Setup (press F2)
I can't boot the CD of form (I can't select same drive to start by pressing F12)

    It just hangs.

When the HARD drive is unplugged I can access the configuration of the BIOS or boot from CD. When the original hard drive (FUJITSU 40BG) is connected, everything is ok.

I updated the BIOS to version 1.5 to the a more recent 2.6, but it did not help.

HARD drive runs under windows xp, when connected by USB port. It is formatted with NTFS: a primary partition(15GB), a stretch with two logical partitions (20BG, GB 215).

You have no idea where could be the problem?
Should I format hard drive in a different way?

  • Want J010dx m7: windows will not start until after full recovery of the system with new HARD drive

    Hello world

    I need help here.

My HP envy m7 J010dx works perfectly with my original hard drive (1 TB).

I am preparing a second HDD (NEW 320) as backup.

I took off the Moose HDD (1 TB) and replace it with the NEW HARD drive (320GB) and try to do a full recovery of the system with the HP recovery DVD.

After full system recovery and laptop computer needs to be restarted in order to continue, the laptop keeps restarting on the logo of windows 8.

I think it says device not found Boot. Also a test using the UEFI tool material HP and all pass.

Replacing the NEW HARD drive with the original of the old HARD drive and it start normally.

What can go wrong here in this case? Thank you very much for the help.

    Concerning

    John

OK, I read through the thread and this is my point of view on this based on works including restore process with the user created a recovery (UCRDs) media which the user indicated that they used.

If you just want to jump to the conclusion at the bottom, you can see my opinion. If you want to know 'why' Please read the entire post.

    Model No.: m7-j010dx

    Product #: E0K83UA #ABA

    Ships OS: Windows 8 (64-bit)

Recovery HP part No. Kit: 730336-002 (3 DVDs + extra)

User replaced the HARD drive with a 1 TB hard drive 5400 RPM with HP ProtectSmart hard drive Protection a new hard drive is a Seagate Momentus 7200.4 ST9320423AS 320 GB 7200 RPM 16 MB Cache SATA 3.0 GB / s 2.5 "Notebook internal hard drive.

With the help of UCRDs sent media recovery media (SSRDs):

When the UCRDs are created, only the drivers for the HW operation (this is a critical point, that I will look later) are burned to the user created a recovery media.  Consider this a snapshot of the current HW, the base drivers and software applications.   If you change the HW on your laptop or desktop where the additional device requires a different driver for these features, a few questions you might - recovery process could stop because he can't find the right driver, a blue screen, a lack of start-up or other unstable system.

A few years ago, I had a PC that would not recover because the Blu - ray (ODD) optical disk drive did not work.  I replaced the WEIRD Blu - ray with a generic DVD/CD burner into the new part of Blu - ray is presented.   I got the PC using SSRDs thinking I would put some time and just install the Blu - ray after the PC has been recovered.   The PC recovered and when the new Blu - ray showed I installed the unit and guess what?  All PCs have shown in Device Manager and applications was a generic ODD - no Blu - ray capability and ability to read Blu - ray content in the default HP provided for multimedia applications delivered with the PC.  Applications were there but no Blu - ray capability.

Huh?  It looks that I did not put any time at all.

I inserted the new Blu - ray ODD and distributed recovery with the HP SSRDs.

After recovery, I had all the Blu - ray drivers and applications supported Blu - ray.

The difference between UCRDs and SSRDs:

UCRDs provide a glimpse of what is installed and functional both disks are created.

Version Digest of the player on what is happening with SSRDs to retrieve a PC (before Windows 10):

SSRDs have all the drivers for all the HW and SW qualified for the unit.  There may be several drivers for hard drives, different types/screen resolutions, sides, etc.  Based on the characteristics of the specific laptop / desktop a process is run called "Do / don't.   After entering the recovery SDRD, the Notebook media boots to Recovery Manager.  The first step is a raw copy of all the contents of the disc on a temporary partition.  Following the Do / do not process looks at the characteristics of this specific unit and remove all other drivers and applications not used by this device.  Drivers and the only successful applications are the features supported.   And then, the new operating system and recovery partition is created.   The PC end recovery of cleaning process and restart the laptop / desktop. And, Yes, you guessed it, if you create the user created a recovery media, you only have the drivers for HW devices and applications of HP on the PC at the time.

So, that being said, what could be the cause/solution?

Hard drives can be different enough so that a different driver (not the UCRDs) is necessary for the newly installed HW.

The SSRDs are supported on the new HARD drive installed?

I don't know, I have an office boy, and I have not tried on this model of laptop.

If you have / acquire SSRDs, I recover the laptop with the new installed HARD drive and see if it works.  It may or may not.  I don't know what drives were qualified for this laptop.

If this does not work, the last option is cloning via USB connection (old HARD drive in the PC, new HARD drive connected to a USB 3 via the SATA Adapter (dongle) USB port, install or download software cloning and cloning the old HDD to the new.)   I just did this on the two older Windows 7 computers laptops using a SanDisk Ultra kit.  He has worked on both units.

    Conclusion:

I don't think that the problem is caused from a HARD drive of 1 to a 320 GB HARD drive, as it meets the minimum specs for a complete installation.  I think the problem is related to the use of UCRDs to retrieve and the UCRDs do not have the HARD driver/firmware/application disc.

    But then again, I know.

  • Re: Satellite U400-11 q with Vista has new HARD drive but no recovery disk

    Hello

Before starting a very important message: I do not usually work with pc... :-) At my work we have an IT Department for our PC :-))

However, now I have to work privately with a PC / laptop and I need help: I'm sitting in front of a Toshiba Satellite U400-11 q with a HARD drive completely newly formatted and unfortunately WITHOUT recovery CD or DVD!

So far I managed to format the new HARD drive and put a Windows Vista Home Basic (OEM software) from my old pc on this notebook. However, nothing works again (I want to get into the Internet, etc.).

So, I now have to put on all the involved drivers as well as drivers TOSHIBA original, right?

How can I do this? What drivers to I need? Do I have to download all the drivers concerned (total 113) one by one on the Web from Toshiba site?

ANY help is appreciated as I see myself spend all night in front of the PC...

    Thank you

  • Pavilion a1710n impossible to enter the BIOS from the put in new hard drive

I have a HP Pavilion a1710n desktop initially under Vista Home Premium.  Problem is hard disk came out, I then replaced with a hard drive Western Digital SATA of similar type.  However, now I am unable to enter BIOS using F10 or Escape or by pressing the F1 key turning on the PC.  When I tried to put Vista on the PC, it stopped and gave me an error 0 x 80070002; Lack of D:\Sources\Installation, which I do not know what it means exactly or how to fix it.  I had already updated the Vista Home Premium to Win7 Pro.  Given that the disc is a disc update of Win7, guess I'll have to reinstall Vista first and then update again to Win7 Pro?  At the moment everything I have on the PC is the new hard drive without any Windows operating system and my PC doesn't seem to be reading the new hard drive, I think, and in the Start Menu, it is shown as 3rd master drive and DVD is 2nd Master.  So what happened the 1st master?  No what should be my new hard drive?  I'm always so frustrated and of course, my PC is long out of warranty, although I tried calling support without much help I'm afraid.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello again patticat22,

Thank you for responding to my message. If I understand your reference Bravo you check to see if you can find a solution? If and it would be better to search for accepted Solutions because they are used to indicate that a solution has been found, where a Bravo must indicate appreciate for a position.

As for your question, I think it could be a drive for the failure of the installation that you have and recommend you order another set. I'm you provide a link to the HP Support document: looking for HP recovery discs or a USB HP recovery disk?, which has all the necessary steps to guide you through the ordering a new set of recovery disks. There may be a fee for ordering them, but I think this will solve your problem and get your computer back operational.

So you can try to use the HP support document: removing and replacing the CMOS battery, that you want to remove the battery (keep out 24 hours before putting it again) and put it back. This should clear your BIOS and reset back to factory. If the BIOS is still inaccessible after that, I think it would be best if you contacted technical support HP for repair options.

United States supports Contact link options HP products purchased in the United States.
Outside WE support link to connect with options for HP products purchased outside the United States.

Please re-post though I have well understood you or if you need additional support. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great weekend!

  • Windows XP Pro the cloning of new hard drives (ready to use to backup discs).

Hello. I use a system dual-boot Windows XP Pro at the moment. The first instance of XP, I use for internet, test new applications, etc... (a beat hard drive). The second instance of XP, I only use my Audio Studio. Due to an an external sound card very inconsistently (Presonus Firebox), this system does not work.

"Why not just install everything on a disk?" you ask. I have operated this way until recently and have grown tired of incompatible software and need to keep my Audio Studio completely isolated from everything else.

What I did to remedy this situation is:
    (A) I bought a total of 4 hard drives SATA Seagate (unfortunately they aren't all the same capabilities. 2 x 250 GB + 300 + 500 GB.)
    (B) I bought some EZ-Swap hard drive trays. (Have the instances of XP with a C:\ root on 2 separate hard drives. One is the pace of the drive, the other only my Audio Studio. When the need to use the desired OS, I just slide into the status bar.)

Due to the fact that I'm on dial-up (there is no high speed in my area so far), "days" to completely update my Windows XP Pro.

    My goal is as follows:
    (1) to perform a clean Windows (all the hardware drivers installed except for my external sound card) and fully implemented installation up-to-date. I don't plan any change of material with the exception of my card external sound.
    (2) from there, create an exact image of the operating system that can be saved in a data cd/dvd/hard drive to copy onto a new hard drive. Image includes everything. Ex: registry entries, the drivers installed and software.

Norton Ghost is not an option, because it will have to be installed to make the image, therefore, be part of the image.

Any ideas on how I can do such a thing works? Windows 'Backup' do what I propose (an ISO standard or emulated)?

I prefer Acronis True Image of Norton Ghost. I don't know why you would want it installed in your operating system image, so just install it in your other operating system. You create a True Image bootable CD and allows to clone/disk images. Ghost or True Image - besides - will do exactly what you want. We do that all at once for clients with critical systems - clone their server to an identical disk drive hard (it must not be the same in your case) and put the spare drive in the closet in an emergency. True Image doesn't have to be installed on the target computer - just install * somewhere * so you can build the bootable CD. Or if you buy the retail version House instead of the download (what we do because we use an Enterprise version), the TI CD is probably bootable. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
