Satellite T230 - wake up after sleep

I'm faced with a problem on a new T230

After that the machine goes to sleep, with keyboard Wake enabled, it will not wake up little matter what I do. The only way out is to close and restart or set it to not sleep, which affect the main reason why I bought it, the claims of long battery life

Any help will be welcome

Hey,.

Do you see the same behavior when wake on the keyboard is disabled?
You use the preinstalled Windows 7 Toshiba?

To be honest it of really strange that the sleep mode doesn't properly work. I use often the standby and hibernation very often and it still works but I have disabled Wake on the keyboard of the battery without danger while it off s and I installed the latest version of the official website of Toshiba BIOS.

Do you have the latest version of the BIOS too?

Re: Satellite M30X: screen doesn't work after sleep mode

I had the same problem with a satellite A100. I did the following:

    1. go in Control Panel
    2. in the system select Classic view
    3. go to the Hardware tab
    4. Select Device Manager
    5. open the 'USB bus controllers' (via)
6 double-click on USB root hub
    7. Select the tab: "Power management."
8 deselection allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
    9. my computer has several USB root hub. I repeated at 07:54 for all
    10. I rebooted the computer, but do not know if this is necessary.

After that, the problem was gone. Enjoy

  • Satellite P100 - no sound after sleep or hibernate on Windows 7 mode

    Hello everyone,

I'm desperately looking for a solution for my sound problem on my PC after browsing many forums that were talking about the same question, but without effective solutions either.

I write this message because I have a laptop Toshiba P100-488 running under Windows 7 64-bit (after having upgraded the processor) and that uses a Conexant CX20549 audio chip.

Everything works correctly, and if the sound is chip with a 64-bit of Windows 7 installed driver but I noticed that after the return of fashion sleep or hibernation, then audio device is still recognized in the Device Manager and shown as active in the control panel and in the taskbar but unfortunately No sound out of speakers.

I tried several drivers (including those from Dell and HP on some sites) but still the same problem.
Also, I tried to update the driver from Windows Update that suggested the Conexant SmartAudio HD2 but the same behavior.

Those of you who would have a solution for me or perhaps a driver concerned that could solve this annoying problem is question here?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards

    Fred

  • Satellite Pro M70 - crashing after sleep

Hi, I'm a COMPUTER technician so I have to deal with a lot of Toshiba laptops. I currently have a problem with an M70 in the fact that when the machine starts in mode 'sleep', it will not resume. Well although it will be upward with everything on the screen but then just completely freezes and will not continue.

This sounds like a hardware problem, or more likely an OS problem?

    Help would be most appreciated!

    Hello

The easiest way to check if it s a hardware or software problem is to use the Toshiba Recovery CD.
On this CD, all drivers, Microsoft tools, utilities and patches are preinstalled.
But if you use the Microsoft original windows, you must install all stuff of Toshiba in the right order
also the Microsoft fixes from the Toshiba page.

    Good day

  • WiFi slow to wake up after sleeping with Vista

Inspiron 9400, Core 2 Duo, 2 gigabytes of ram, Vista Ultimate, Dell 1390 wireless, Linksys G Router card.

When I close the lid on my 9400, it enters mode "Eve". When I open it it snaps back very quickly with the exception of my wireless connection. Sometimes this can take more than a minute to recover.

I've updated the Vista driver on the Dell site for map of 1390 - no help. I tried another HD with XP on it (even other materials) and he gets less sleep seconds 5 or more.

Just for grins, I put the action for closing the cover Hibernate (Vista again) and I have the same delay for the wireless reconnect when I recover from Hibernate mode.

My daughter of 1720 doesn't have this problem (don't remember what was his card).

Anyone else with this experience? All the patches?

  • New place doesn't wake up after going to sleep

I'm frustrated with my new coming 11 Pro, because 9 times out of 10, each time that I put it to go to the mode 'sleep', or he falls asleep, he wakes up not again. It seems to go to sleep very well and I push the button once to wake him up and vibrates it immediately for half a second. But then it never wakes or turn on screen for several minutes. I try the power button again to longer and eventually it starts and all my programs are closed and the computer restarted unexpectedly. What could be the cause of the computer to not again wake up after sleeping? It happens that my keyboard is connected or not, but if he plays well, then pressing the button start he wakes up. (It is rare that he wakes up actually sleep).

    Hi rpseekell,

I'll suggest that you ask questions out of 11 in the forum of mobile devices.

    Good luck!

  • Crush the display flashes for 2-3 minutes after that mini mac wakes up from sleep

Crush the display flashes for 2-3 minutes after that mini mac wakes up from sleep

If you have another Thunderbolt cable, plug it into the unused port on the

Thunderbolt Display and then in the Mini and see if the same thing happens.

What you can see is a precursor of the poster, built out of the cable.

At least, it could eliminate a costly repair problem.  Although the cable itself is not

expensive, opening to the top of the screen of TB to replace could be.

Well that not connected on a Mini, I began to see in similar behavior my

iMac, so that there was finally a break in the complete cable.

  • Re: Portege R700 not wake after sleep

    Hi all
I just bought a R700 and the laptop doesn't wake up after going to sleep. I did a bios upgrade. I have all the power options to sleep to "never" at the present time and other options of hibernation which works very well.
I'm a little worried because I have to make the software updates for sensitive equipment during a couple of them the R700 is stopped and I had to do a power of the force down.

When he tries to get out, sleep, the screen remains blank and the on-ramps fan until takeoff speed and stays there until I have to force a shutdown.

    Any ideas?

I uninstalled tempro when I searched a driver that he has not found any so searched manually updated and found a few. Waste of time and interefering.

    Hello

Have you noticed this problem from the day or later after the installation of these updates?
    > I'm a little worried because I have to do software updates...
No one forcing you to make updates. You need to install are updated Microsoft.
If the system works well with the original recovery image Toshiba (factory settings) leaves.

The only thing you should do is to optimize BONE and remove the stuff you don't need.

    Back to your question:
Can you confirm that this problem occurs with the factory settings and without any installation of updates?

  • Satellite L750 - no WiFi after fashion 'sleep'

My L750 unusually blue screen of death would be while I was checking fanatic TV on sitejabber then I restarted in safe mode, turn off wi - fi with FN + F8, made a backup and then rebooted normally. But now, after that every time that the computer wakes up fashion 'sleep' it says 'no networks are available. If I hit FN + F8 it says it's 'on' but seems to be lying because if I hit again to turn it off and then once more to make it back, then it auto connects as usual. If this isn't a huge deal, just a little pain.
    Anyone know what is happening?

    Hello

You have Wifi connection issues only after waking from sleep mode?
Connection WiFi properly after the laptop has been activated to stop mode?

I had the similar problem in the past and two workaround solutions has helped:

    (1) I've updated the WLan driver
    (2) in the Device Manager-> WLan card-> properties-> last tab (power management) I disabled the option that allows the system turn off the device (in this case WLan) in order to save energy, I simply removed the checkbox

I recommend you to check two workaround solutions

  • Satellite A65: Mouse freezes after the coming of sleep mode

    Hello!

I'm having a problem with my laptop. I have the A65 with windows XP. The mouse works perfectly every time I close the lid of the computer goes into sleep mode that is ok, but when I open the cover from my session to resume the mouse is frozen. I can type and navigate with the keyboard mouse function but NNW.

Someone at - it and an overview of this. Thank you

    Hello

You mean USB mouse? What happens if you disconnect and reconnect the mouse to the USB port?
You use the latest version of the BIOS? The A65 was designed for the American market, and you should check the Toshiba site us updates of BIOS. Maybe it helps

By the way; Microsoft has published articles on the base of different useful knowledge about USB problems after sleep.
Please check these docs and try the solutions:

  • Satellite P10 automatically goes to sleep after 15 minutes

My Satellite P10 automatically goes to sleep after 15 minutes. This is a setting that is controlled by Toshiba or the Console of Toshiba power management settings.

When I change the settings it the system will always standby after 15 minutes. When I go into Control Panel control/Performance and Maintenance/Power Options, it tells me to go to the Toshiba power management to change the settings, but I still see the parameters in grey indicating the standby time of 15 minutes.

But in the Toshiba power management, I can't seem to be able to adjust the sleep settings, so that they work effectively. There must be something for her...

    Can someone help me understand?
    Thank you very much
    Lerak

    Hello

The fact is that if Toshiba energy saving is installed on the laptop Toshiba, the Microsoft OS power management doesn't work. You must use the Toshiba power saver to change settings.
In power save you will find different modes.
If the power supply is on if you need to change the power mode in the power section. Here, you simply mark the mode full power and click for details.
You can now find mode properties. Select the Power Saver tab.
You will find various controls that are responsible for different functions. Change the settings on the standby system controller.
