Satellite U300 - peripheral unknown after the installation of Windows XP Home edition

Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite U300 - 14Q (model PSU30E). I installed XP, but there are 2 unknown devices:

-Memoria Controladora PCI - in English: PCI memory controller (I guess...)
-Device present-day - English: unknown device.

I installed all the drivers of Toshiba and Microsoft. What are the missing driver?

Greetings from the Spain.

Hello

-Module PCI Memory Controller Missing Robson, that it is not available for Windows XP Home edition and it will always appear in the Device Manager. It should not bother you at all.
-Unknown device, I'm afraid that you forgot something. I don't know what, but it can be map or maybe utility password drive controller.

Please make sure that you have installed stuff all listed according to document Instructions of facilities. The order of the facilities is also very important.

  • How to recover data after the upgrade to Windows XP Home Edition?

My Windows XP program has been replaced by Windows XP Home Edition. Some data was not justified.

My Windows XP program has been replaced by Windows XP Home Edition. Some data was not justified.

Is it possible to recover the data?

First of all, please note that Windows XP Home Edition is an edition of Windows XP. So it makes no sense to say that your "Windows XP program has been replaced by Windows XP Home." Exactly what edition of Windows XP you have before it was replaced with XP Home?

In the second place, who did the replacement, and exactly how it was? Was this an upgrade? A new installation? He did go in Windows or by booting from the CD XP Home?

Thirdly, it was not justified to exactly what data?

Fourth, it depends on your answers to the above questions, but in all likelihood, it says No Mo is quite right: If you do not have a backup of your data on an external, you're probably out of luck, and the data are gone.

    Hello

You should search here in the forum for similar topics and you will find the answer soon ;)

    Just for the note;
Toshiba has published several documents that might help you to install the SATA drivers and to include it in the XP CD:

Driver SATA can be found on the Intel page too. An Intel Matrix Storage Manger contains these files needed to SATA.

  • Bluetooth doesn't work does not correctly after the installation of Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 (SP2) on Dell laptop

I searched this forum and almost all resources on the net for days now nothing works.  Give the message to a thread more appropriate that I couldn't find one that is truly representative and am a newb at this.

Summary of the problem: Bluetooth connectivity does not work properly after the window Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 and 2 installation (SP 1 and 2).

    My system:

Laptop Dell Inspiron E1705, 32-bit Winows Vista Home Premium SP2, Dell Wireless Bluetooth 355 Module + EDR 2.0

    * My system was purchased in 2006 with Windows XP, but was not entitled to a free Windows Vista Home Premium Upgrade I did. I installed Windows Service Pack 1 and 2 about a week ago.

Problem: After downloading and installing the Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 and 2 (SP 1 and 2), my system does not recognize my Bluetooth (a touch of Sprint also) device known as the HTC Vogue.  I stress that I have not had any problems with this device before downloads.  I can't revert to the pre - SP State 1 and 2 because my system restore does not have these points more.

I have read several posts on various sites about people having similar problems with Bluetooth connectivity after the Vista SP 1 and 2 facilities.  The problem is obviously the need for an updated driver.  I went to the site to download driver Dell and the Blueooth only updates available are the following. (Note: these drivers all date from 2006 and 2007).

    http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=RC956904&l=en&s=pub&SystemID=INS_PNT_P4_9400&os=WLH&osl=en&servicetag=&catid=-1&impid=-1&deviceid=12084&libid=5&typeid=-1&dateid=-1&formatid=-1&source=-1&releaseid=R159805&formatcnt=1&vercnt=1

I had these installed before the SP 1 and 2 have been installed and they worked very well. After the upgrade, these drivers do not work.  They won't recognise BT devices.  I tried to upgrade the drivers by using update Broadcom suggested below it, but an error of following installation to contact Dell.

    http://www.Broadcom.com/support/Bluetooth/update.php

I contacted Dell via e-mail and on the phone, but they want to charge me $60 for a one time service call just to talk about the problem because my warranty has expired. Provide updated drivers is not a problem of security in my opinion.  Even after explaining the situation, their continuous support to just send me the link to download Driver Dell above with out-of-date drivers.  I guess that's what they are charged to do, they do not have to admit a problem of compatibility.  This obviously the same link they would charge $60 to send.  I explained that I need just a Bluetooth Driver from Dell to at least version 6.3.   Needless to say, I will never buy another Dell product.

On my end, I tried to uninstall my current drivers and then by installing a newer driver to support Gateway (Version 6.2.1.500 for and Acer).  This allows me to install some parts of this update and the update Broadcom. However, it is not a perfect installation and expires after about 90% saying "this update is not for this system" because it is the gateway not Dell to be provided.  Displays the version of the driver on my computer is Version 6.3.5.430 after doing this, but it is not a complete installation and some features are not available.

Does anyone have experience with this issue? I would like to have a link with some bluetooth drivers generic Version 6.3 type which will allow me to use the Broadcom link to upgrade to the last version that works with Vista SP 1 and 2.

    Thank you for your help.

  • Incorrect video memory is displayed after the installation of Windows XP Home on Satellite A205

I bought by Satellite A-205-S4577 with Vista, but it is not working properly, so I installed XP SP2 and now in "graphics properties" 'information' is written that video memory is 8 MB to 32 MB. If memory should me shared 8-244. What's wrong? I installed all the drivers I need, there is no problem in Device Manager... I tried different types of XP, different types of drivers - every time is the same...
    Help, please!

    The system is:
    Intel Core Duo T-5300
1024 DDR, Intel 945 GM Chipset

    Hello

First that you must install the latest DirectX (9 .0c) because according to your second post the DirectX 9.0 is installed only.
Then the shared memory amount depends on main memory. I don't know if the graphics card will be able to share the total of 256 MB, if there is only 1 024 MB memory main available m.

Anyway, as much as I know Intel graphics cards automatically share memory.
This means that the Intel graphics driver assigns the value of the memory in the event of urgent need.

If the card doesn t need additional memory, the value remains low.

But can I ask you if you tried to install the graphics driver for the Intel page?
    Check it!

  • Preparation of an installation of Windows XP Home edition CD with a MINIMUM required drivers for A200-1AX

    Greetings,

I am trying to install Windows XP Home edition on my old days by Satellite A200-1AX. Today, I tried to boot from the CD of Windows XP Home edition or after the copy of the system files, the laptop produces the error that Setup did not find any hard disk during the Installation of Windows XP. I looked on the internet and found the following page:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows/resolving-Setup-did-not-find-any-hard-disk-drives-during-Windows-XP-installation/

Explains how to resolve this problem. So I try to make my own installation CD of Windows XP Home edition with the necessary drivers. My first question is: what are the minimum required drivers to ensure a smooth installation process until I get the XP running? It is not necessary to install the drivers for all the A200-1AX since the first installation of XP, I can always go back and install those remaining of the XP; but I don't want the installation process interrupted due to a missing driver where I have to repeat the process of manufacturing more install of WXP CD custom. The list of drivers and devices provided by Toshiba is too long to write on a single installation with XP CD.

My second question is: there is an update of the bios/firmware required in accordance with the instruction list. Is it necessary BEFORE or AFTER the installation of Windows XP Home edition?

If I decide to go back to VISTA using the recovery CD, I must restore the bios/firmware?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

    Best regards, Ashraf.

    > My first question is: what are the minimum required drivers to ensure a smooth installation process until I get the XP running

You will need to include only the Intel Matrix Storage Manger for the XP CD again. Without this iMSM XP will not see the HARD drive
This driver is important. Other drivers can be installed after the installation of XP!

    > My second question is: there is an update of the bios/firmware required in accordance with the instruction list. Is it necessary BEFORE or AFTER the installation of Windows XP Home edition?

There are 2 versions of BIOS; One for Vista and one for XP. Generally, the update of the BIOS must be made before the instillation of OS but you can also try to do after installing XP. In both cases, the update of the BIOS would be possible.

    > If I decide to go back to VISTA using the recovery CD, I must restore the bios/firmware?
Generally, Yes! Without the good BIOS features like the FN buttons could not work properly!

  • Need help with the installation of Windows XP Home on my Satellite Pro A300-1DZ

    Hi all.

I have a Satellite Pro A300-1DZ system unit, model no PSAG1E-OOFOO4EN (think they are 'o' and not '0', circle with slash through it) with WXP Pro.

I recently contracted a virus inside and as he removed, however it is not good so I want to re - install Windows XP Home edition. I backed up the computer, I have a Windows XP Home SP2 Pro edition disk and I have my product key.
I put the CD/DVD in BIOS to run 1 drive and tells me that I can boot from the CD, I press a button and it loads the CD, select the option where to install windows.

BUT! I can t go further than what windows does not detect the HD said he s not now, or whatever.

My question is this: Please can someone me step by step instructions on how to reinstall XP and a link to all the drivers I need to make it work?

    PLEEASE!

It's simple on my PC, also, please keep in mind, I am best suited for working on cars, I'm not stupid, but my calloused hands search for computers a little more difficult than Motors please not in many computer technical terms.

    Hi jeff

    Here's your solution:
    1. go to bios with F2 when you see the toshiba start screen.
    2. Select the arrow to the left using the "Advanced".
3 press down until you get to "SATA Controller Mode".
4 change, using F7/F8, Chang [AHCI] setting [compatibility].
    5. make sure the CD/DVD drive is the first to start and F10 save and exit. computer restart when you are prompted to "press any key" press a button and hey presto as before windows will start the installation, but this time you won't get windows you said:

Set up did not find Ant hard disks installed on your computer.

Make sure any drive HARD are powered on and properly connected to your computer and any hard disk related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or Setup program.

implementation cannot continue press f3 to goto hell... uh I mean leaving the installation

And you can continue on your installation of Windows XP Home edition.

Hope I helped many other jeff's in the same boat. XD

  • ITunes does not start after the installation of Windows 10

ITunes does not start after the installation of Windows 10, 1511 version (OS Build 10586.164). ITunes version 12.3.2.35, 6 GB RAM, Intel i3 @3.3 GHz. Itunes and Ipodserver module will run by Manager jobs, but Itunes does not open. iTunes starts in SafeMode as explained in the link below (hold SHIFT and control on your keyboard while you open iTunes).

Fix unexpectedly closes or problems of launch in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support

Solution, according to this link, is:

If the problem does not occur in Mode safe, remove any third party plug-ins iTunes: solving problems with third party plug-ins - Support Apple iTunes but the link has been archived, and I can't find any plug-ins installed iTunes. Any other ideas?

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

More information area has direct links with the current and recent buildings if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with QuickTime software or a third party.

Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

    Hello

It didn't reinstall the ATL update, it reinstalled 2005 Redistributable. So now, I have 2005 and 2010 x 86 both. And it says that two dates installiation are two days after I installed the 2010. I know 2005 and the update was uninstalled, because I checked after restart the computer and before you install the 2010 version. Very curious.

But my Screensaver works and access to the camera seemed to work after uninstalling / reinstalling the software. So, good. Thank you.

  • After the installation of Windows 7 repair I 219 updates. Best way to install? Small batches... oldest first? Others?

After the installation of Windows 7 repair I 219 updates. Best way to install? Small batches... oldest first? Others?

In the previous 18 months there have been many updates toxic that caused problems... these fixes are well eliminated or fixed retroactively or this process will be as walk minefield?

I currently intend to install some office and .net updates separately and to wait on the optional updates updates security priority are installed.

    Thanks for any idea.

Properly installed all updates of security except IE11 upgrade [has a full update of IE8 that should cover most security problems... [Since I use Firefox... or whatever it is, but it is to say... no biggie].

I installed the updates [ie8, etc] 1 security and updates in batches of 20-30 for most recent first then older then. Then I installed the office updates and then a point net 3.51.research showed several versions of dot net needed.

After each batch, I did a restore pt.

Note: this repair facility corrected a connection problem that prevented programs and 32-bit browsers... including malwarebytes to connect to the net. I had followed the many expert suggestions to fix this problem without success before the repair facility.
