Satellite U400 not reconnect to WLAN after coming out of hibernation

I have a Satellite U400, and I connect to my office wireless network. It works great until my laptop goes into hibernation mode.

When I bring it from hibernation, it do not reconnect to my wireless network and I have to restart.
Once restarted, it connect fine.

Does anyone has an idea why this is happening and what I can do to fix this?

Thank you

David

Hello David

Usually these problems are resolved with BIOS and WLAN driver update. Have you tried to solve this problem with any of these updates?

Remote usb mouse freezes for bout 45 seconds after coming out of sleep mode

    Hi Aubrey,

Step 1: Put the computer to boot and see if the problem still occurs

Follow step 1 in the link below,

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

  • OSMF does not reconnect on 10.0 when OUT 3.1 stops/starts broadcasting

I use 0.93 (Sprint 10) and noticed an unusual problem where our OSMF on OS X Flash Player 10.0.45.2 instance do not reconnect and resume playback when OUT 3.1 (Mac) stops and restarts a show. Interestingly, FP 10.1 RC1 to reconnect as expected. I only tested using a dynamic broadcast continuously, and the logic is quite simple... in the sense of:

This.Video = new VideoElement (res, new RTMPDynamicStreamingNetLoader()); OSMF 0.93 reverse params

    this.container.addMediaElement (video);                video = this.mediaPlayer.media;
    video = this.mediaPlayer.media;

Here is the current behavior that I see:

With 0.93, if you cancel the publication, then the player may not be noticeable and it seems to continue playing (time does not change, but the State of the player is to PLAY).  If you subsequently republish the stream, the player will resume playback.

With public trunk, if you cancel the publication, then the player will assume the reading is complete.  It will not tear down the connection.  If you post again later, then nothing will happen.  However, if you then call play(), playback will begin (again, using the same connection and stream).

So I think that the current behavior is appropriate (and your last answer, it looks that you agree).

  • White screen coming out of hibernation

Have Windows 7 Home Premium on a Dell E1505 laptop. Coming from hibernation, the screen is a black screen with a flashing cursor in the upper left of the screen. By pressing the power button / power off then back on starts the laptop bios checks take a few minutes to complete (normally takes seconds) but will then come out of hibernation correctly. Have updated all the drivers that were available. There is no problem coming out of hibernation just to sleep mode.

You can also try the response to a similar thread by Zack who said that sometimes the Boot Configuration data (BCD) file may have questions that raise such errors. Follow the steps below to fix the BCD file.

    4. run the following command: bcdedit /deletevalue {3d8d3081-33ac-11dc-9a41-806e6f6e6963} inherit

    5. test of hibernation.

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistahardware/thread/a57a9941-1f2f-4dfb-B874-93d9167c62ec

Thank you for that response, Varun - doing definitely solved the problem for my new laptop Windows 7.

The victory seems to have been short-lived, however. The first restoration of hibernation went very quickly, but since then, it's to her long wait at the black screen, blinking cursor.

Whenever I restart the computer by using the bcdedit steps is obviously not an option.

How can I prevent the computer from doing whatever it is that it is the practice that requires the following steps for normal operation?

    Thank you!

    You can try

    (1) open a Notepad document

Type 2) in what you would do in the shell IE: C:\windows\system32 > bcdedit /deletevalue {3d8d3081-33ac-11dc-9a41-806e6f6e6963} inherit

(of course you have to do footwork to track down the of first to varun j postafter do you cut and paste replaceing identifier the identifier you see here with one adapted to your computer)

    3) Save as

    (4), select all the files

    (5) name of file "hibernate_fix.bat" less the quotes of course

    6) Save to desktop

    (7) running every time you can leave your computer for an extended period

What this does that create a command shell executable that u just double click and itll do on its own as a macro

great thing about this is that you don't need administrator rights you can also pin to the start menu

  • Satellite U400 and WXP - No WLAN LAN not internet

Hello everyone and thank you for reading my post.

I just bought a new Satellite U400 - 12R PSU40E and installed quickly clean Windows XP 32-bit with SP2, the installation was flawless after changing HARD drive in compatibility mode mode. Downloaded and installed all the drivers from this site for my model which included the Realtek network drivers for the Marvel Yukon for the LAN and wireless. No yellow dot in the currency manager and the system is just perfect.

However, for the life of me, I CAN NOT connect this bloody thing for any LAN or WLAN, the funniest is when I connect the LAN cable in my office in it, the little icon in the status bar displays connected and all of the ip addresses are correct, same COMODO starts to automatically download the updates and full updates after a while but I can't surf the internet to all.

I even installed Firefox and chrome and with any 3 browsers I can browse the internet, even if all the anti virus, COMODO, or windows firewall all turns off.

Please help me in anyway or advice or pointers I might have missed.

    Thanking you in advance.

    Reza.

    Thanks for the comments! :-)

I had the same problem as you for years. I had Zone Alarm and if I close this application I do not have access to internet. Thus, the application should still work.

However, I hope you don t also this problem.

    Hi all

I have a problem really strang after upgrade my C855 Satellite of Windows 8 to 10 of windows. After the upgrade, I can't boot my system of battery only. With the adapter, I had no poblem.

I bought a new battery, but it still had the same problem. Cannot start system battery only.

    The following steps, I was

    • Got the latest Bios Update
    • Used a new battery
    • Do the powerless laptop (detach battery and adapter) and hold the power button for 15-20 seonds. After that return battery and adapter
    • Do seals in my power, parameters of balanced energy vice versa

Is there anyone who has had the same problem or can advise me?

Thanks in advance for the help

    Hi Repairlab

You are not alone. I currently have a C50 Sat with exactly the same problem, with the exception of the upgrade. My problem started before I upgraded to 10. Like you, I can start with the battery and using taking current, but which is rubbish for a laptop.
I didn't upgrade the bios but the laptop does not recognize when the battery is connected and the bios update tool continues to ask for it (VERY annoying ToshIba if you already read your forums).
I was trawl through these forums looking for a solution, but there are 0 replies on the vast majority of positions. Not even ToshIba engineers seem to have a presence.

In any case, did you ever solved the problem, and if so can you please share?

    Thank you.

  • Satellite U400 - can't change brightness after reconstruction

Had a problem with my laptop in December, which gave rise to a new backlight and Ribbon being installed on the back. Wouldn't power for me after that so I had to me TI usinf rebuilt recovery disks :-(

Since then, although everything seems to work fine I can't adjust the brightness of the display. FN F6/F7 does nothing - even if the bar goes up and down that the brightness of the display does not change. Have been in the power management options, and once again although I can change the settings it the display does not change. I set at full intensity when the power and about 25 percent when it is on laptop battery, but there is no difference, no matter what source of energy that I use.

    I'm running Vista 32 bit

Have updated my BIOS to V5.00 (26/10/10)
Check my display adapter is running on the latest driver
Download and install the latest chipset utility
    Download and install PVAT

Someone at - it suggestions - the lack of brightness gives me shocking eyestrain

    Thank you very much

    HE'S

    > FN F6/F7 does nothing - even if the bar goes up and down that the brightness of the display does not change

If you see the bar moving left and right using the FN or FN + F6, F7 then this means that the executed software ok and has been installed properly.

Maybe the problem is not related to the software, but the parts that have been replaced by ASP. As you said the backlight and reversed tape have been replaced and I think something can go wrong when replacing.
Maybe the technician made a mistake

    But please check it;
Need BIOS and the BIOS by default.
Save the changes and restart the device.
Then try again to change the brightness.
If you do not succeed, then I recommend requesting the ASP to check this

  • Satellite U400 - PSU40E Synaptics touchpad problem after the recent update to BIOS

    Toshiba welcome,

I've tested this in reverse, this is why the statement in the subject as it looks. After upgrading the bios of 3.00 to 3.50 touchpad loses its precision. Very rude and useless its like that.

I tried different drivers, everything, but the only way to really solve this problem was it downgrade to 3.00 OR uninstall the driver Synaptics completely. Second solution, unfortunately, is unacceptable, because then I lose some features, like click on contact, which I don't use and control.

    Best regards

    Wojtek

    Hey Buddy

I U400 and the BIOS has been updated to the newest one.
The touchpad works like a dream. I m using Win XP and Vista and there is NO problems after BIOS update!

In your case, this may be only a software problem and I think you can use the Toshiba Recovery disk and could reinstall the whole OS from the Toshiba drive

It is a really radical solution because the whole HARD disk may be formatted, but if the resettlement of these two drivers touchpad didn t help then I think this would be the last solution.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

In a wireless (Wi - Fi) network, the computers are connected by radio instead of wire or cable signals. Advantages of wireless networks include mobility and the absence of unsightly wires. This problem may occur due to several reasons such as faulty driver, security software, 3rd party software or application etc.

Before troubleshooting, provide us with information.

    1. what security software you use in your computer?

    2. don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

    Follow the steps below.

    Method 1:

Uncheck allow the computer to turn off this device to save power option in Device Manager and check.

    a. click on Start and go to Control Panel, in the Panel click on the small icons to display.

    b. search for network and sharing Center and open it.

    c. on the left side, you will see an option that says "change the map settings. Open it.

    d. you will have two local and wireless connections. Right-click on Wireless one, and then select Properties.

    e. now, click CONFIGURE.

    f. you will see 5 tabs, click on the last one that says "power management."

    g. now simply UNCHECK the first box that says "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

    Method 2:

You can update the network drivers and check.
