Satellite U500 Wireless connection problems

Hey guys!

I bought a Toshiba U500 a few weeks ago and I'm getting some very annoying problems with wifi...

It has a Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E network card.
It connects to the router, but soon after, and for the time that it is connected it is still at a very low speed (although it shows the maximum signal). The OS is Win7 and it came all installed and ready to use.

Please help me solve this problem! This is quite annoying and I plan to return, because I use this phone especially to be in the internet :(

Thank you!

Hello

Please check these options first;
-WLan driver update. Use the latest Wlan driver
-BIOS update. The BIOS must be updated.
-Set the default BIOS (F9 in BIOS, then save changes)
-Update Windows to the last State
-Check settings in device-> WLan card Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab
Change the WiFi channel, use a WiFi standard 802.11 B or G, etc.

PS: You can pass the latest WLan driver

    Good evening.

    Sorry for my bad English.

Here's my problem: whenever I try to install my wireless modem, my computer shuts down, the blue screen before connecting off the coast with many words that I did not have time to read.

The modem is certainly not a problem, as I tried it on another PC and it works perfectly fine.
    Can you help me?

    Hello

If I understand correctly your problem; the BSOD (blue screen of death) appears during the installation of the software for the external Wlan modem immediately.
    Right?

I assume you are using portable satellite P300D Win 7 on your computer.
There may be a compatibility problem with Win 7 OS?

    > The modem is certainly not a problem, as I tried it on another PC and it works perfectly fine.
Have you tested the modem with the other Win 7 computer?

The other hand the Mobile supports an internal Wlan card.
Have you tried an update of the Wlan card driver?

  • Satellite L30 wireless connection problems

Recently bought the L30 with Vista Basic.
Having real problems with connection Wi - Fi in this same if my router is picked up when itry connecting the entrance is not allowed.

I got the security code and when I put this code it however does not connect.

I know that the wireless security code is correct because I've set up conenection for the PSP wireless to even that works without any problem.

One got any ideas on how I can solve this problem. My friend IT has managed to get the wireless to work for him, but I can't work?

    Any help greatly appreciated

You have problems when the WIRELESS network is not secure? Talk with your friend. Obviously, he has enough experience with such things. If WLAN works at his home which means this problem is due to cause wrong settings. Wireless laptop card obviously work properly.

  • Satellite L650 Wireless connection problems

I can't connect to my router. It shows my network as excellent connection, but he always tells me that it is unable to connect to the network.
I then solve the reason, and he tells me to reset my wireless network adapter.
    Help, please.

    Hello

As I ve understood your question WLan; the WiFi network is visible, but you can not connect. Right?
Well, it means that the WiFi is enabled.

In your case I would recommend first of all and the WLan driver update:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/?page=downloads

After that, you should check the settings of the Wlan router; Maybe the MAC address filtering is enabled
In addition, you must check these settings on both devices (network router and local WLan card):
    -WLan encryption
    -Password encryption WLan
-WLan channel (in Device Manager-> card WLan-> properties-> Advanced tab)
    -Standard WLan (802.11 A, B, G or N)

    Good luck

  • U940 PSU6VA satellite - wireless connectivity problems

    _ * My specifications: * _
    * Model: * Toshiba Ultrabook (Satellite PSU6VA - 00S 002 U940)
    * Operating system: * Windows 8.1 x 64 (upgrade of Windows 8 x 64)
    * Wireless adapter: * Intel Centrino Wireless - N 2200
    * Wireless adapter driver version: * 15.10.0.12 (which is the last for my device)

I got this Ultrabook since February 2013, and throughout this period, I always had problems with wireless connectivity, even after a factory reset. My wireless icon varies between three States:
    * Internet access
    * Limited (in which case I can't connect to the internet or any other device on the network)
    * Not connected - connections are available (and if I try to connect to the network, it will fail)

Sometimes my computer would instantly reach the State of "Internet access" at startup and remain in this State. Other times, it would be 'limited' for several minutes after the start of my computer before it finally connected, and even in this case, the connection will drop out every now and then. In the worst case, it would indefinitely remain "Limited" or "not connected", regardless of how many times I reset my adapter wireless or rebooted my computer.

Until very recently, I always thought that these problems have occurred randomly. However, I noticed recently that I have always a connection perfect, whenever there is no other computers connected wirelessly to my router, and I always have problems more or less when there is at least another computer (or even a smart phone) connected wireless to the router. If there is another computer connected to the router via an Ethernet cable, this causes no problems. It's only wireless connections that interfere with my computer.

It is only this computer that has these problems; the other computers in my house ever experience these issues, no matter how many computers is online. In addition, my computer is not only these problems with my home router; It has the same problems on the network wireless at my University.

My question is, how do I fix? Is this a known bug or is my defective wireless adapter? I know that I can connect using an Ethernet cable if possible (I have never problems with Ethernet connections), but this is not always possible at the University.

Did you remove the old driver Win 8 Intel of the system before you upgrade to version 8.1 to win?
The old Wlan Intel driver could affect the performance of a Wi - Fi connection.

The driver update page Win 8.1 says clearly that Intel Wlan driver must be uninstalled and the
Inbox Windows 8.1 version must be used.

  • Satellite L500 - wireless connection is very slow

    Hey all,.

I have problems with my toshiba satellite L500 wireless very slow. I restored the computer back to factory settings, reset the router and do not know what to do. The only way that I am able to achieve and increase speed of internet is by connecting the laptop to the router.

There are 3 other laptops in the House which is the same model, this laptop runs very fast. My router is a Thomson TG782T.

    Thank you

    Hello

First, I would try to update the WLAN driver. Download the latest version on the Toshiba site and then delete the old version. Reboot the laptop and use CCleaner to clean the system. Restart again and now you can install the latest WLAN driver.

I put t know what operating system you have, but on Vista and Windows 7, you must disable the WLAN energy saving function. You can do this in Windows power management if you change power management.

I had a similar problem and after removing the energy saving function, it worked fast and normal as on other laptops. :)

  • Wireless connection problem - "could not contact the primary DNS server.

Hello. As of today, I had an interesting problem with my connection wireless home.

I have DSL, and my router (an Actiontec GT704-WG, for reference), periodically decides to abandon the internet connection throughout the entire family. This includes our parent unit, as well as my lap top which relies on a wireless connection.

Today, I noticed that my laptop was switched to 'Access Local.' only I went to check my modem, only to find all the lights on the side were, and the computer was working fine. I tried to reset the wireless connection, activating / disabling the wireless and switch off, Plug and reconnect to the network without wire, as well as re-booting my computer. None of these things worked.

I also received and error message that tells me it: "could not contact the primary DNS (fe80::341b:6831:1247:6707 11%).

I don't know what this means, although I checked to make sure that my ISP address connects well, and as far as I can tell it is. I also checked everything that Microsoft suggested troubleshooting guides, nothing helps.

I don't know if that makes a difference, but I noticed to my lap top more close to the router, the connection would come periodically power on and off. Also, these problems started occurring after that I installed and then uninstalled Firefox. I use Internet Explorer, but I wanted to try Firefox.

Also, my computer is an application of Toshiba Satellite L305-S5944, running Vista Home Basic, I believe.

I hope I've provided enough information.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your router > make sure you have the latest Firmware in Vista for it.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/notebook > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for it last network adapters Vista drivers > download/install the.

    Try without commitment TCP/IPv6:

If you still have internet connection probs, one thing to try is the separation of the TCP/IPv6 (which is done by going to network connection > right click > properties > it uncheck > OK.)

  • Satellite U300 - network connection problems

I have problems with my laptop network adapters. The laptop is not able to connect to the internet with wired or wireless connections. I tried to update the drivers of the cards, but this does not solve the problem.

In the Manager section of devices under network adapters, all cards have an exclamation yellow next to them and "Device status" is for the cards ' * this device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31). Click "Find solutions to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available".

In addition, on reboot the computer, Windows prompts me to install the driver software for * Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller * and * Intel (R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN *. "Whenever I try to install the drivers, it fails and the error message ' * cannot open the specific driver for this device registry key *" appears. I even tried to install the Realtek Vista diagnostic tool and the program fails to run but produces the error message ' * Please install protocol driver *'.

I tried to restore the system to a date that I remember not having problems but the restoration does not end. I get a message telling me that the restore has failed.

_Drivers: _ Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller - Version on laptop: 6.227.902.2009 (I think this is the most recent version)
Intel (r) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN - Version on laptop: 12.4.3.9 (current version 13.0.0.107 do not install it)

Can someone advise me on how I can fix this?

    Hello

It seems the LAN and WLan driver are not installed properly

Are you using the right drivers?
What U300 do you have exactly?

To my knowledge, the error message is usually for use of non compatible drivers
Try to install a diagnostic tool of material such as Everest, Avast or Sandra.
This should help you to get more details on the Wlan and LAN, then you might find the compatible drivers!

  • g505s 8.1 updates & wireless connection problem

I just downloaded updates Microsoft last night and as soon as I restarted, my wireless connection was gone/missing/non-functional. I have read some other posts that made me think that the issue may be with the (Qualcomm Atheros AR956x) wireless network adapter driver, but the download or install the latest driver from Lenovo (wlan149w81) support site didn't do me good. I do not see again for a Wi - Fi connection in the center of network & sharing.

Someone at - he never saw something like this before / know what might be causing the problem?

Hi solid Cruver - thanks for the help. Looks like that the combo of what I did and what you recommended has done. Update the driver LAN first and second WLAN driver seems to have solved the problem. Thanks again.

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes to your machine before the problem?
    2. you have any device near your router that may be in conflict with the signal?

If so, make sure that devices such as radio, microwaves, mobile phones are kept at Bay.

In the meantime, I wish that you follow the steps mentioned below.

    Method 1:

Update your AX88772 6 USB2.0 to Fast Ethernet network card of manufacturer's site and see if it helps.

    Method 2:

You can also test the problem in safe mode with network.

If the methods above are little help, you may need to contact your Internet Service Provider for the best help that can be also with slow Internet or abandon the connection.

I just bought this printer 2 days ago and since then have worked so that it can connect to my wireless network.  I didn't realize set up a printer would take over 12 hours and I am very frustrated.  I am a 30 years old, the networking industry veteran and tried different ways to connect this printer for WiFi and all have resulted in the same thing.  The printer connects, authenticates, and gets a DHCP address.  I am able to ping the printer on the wireless for about 2 minutes and then it stops.  The network printer report that everything is good, SSID, Auth method, etc.  The indicator on the printer wireless shows connected with intense beep.  Watch wireless access point the printer active in wireless connections until it pings stop and the device then goes to an idle state, indicating that the printer has stopped sending the Wireless 'KeepAlive '.  At this point, I would say that I have a defective printer, but I've seen several posts on this forum with the same question and no documented fix.  I find it very doubtful that HP has produced many defective printers.  Is there a solution to my problem?  Please advise...
