I need to install Win XP Professional and remove the top home Windows 7 because I can not connect to my domain, but hey tried with several SATA and nothing that another solution would be,

Thank you

Hello

What SATA drivers have you tried exactly?
Normally, you can download the storage on the Intel Web site manager. Check this box!

Alternative, go into the BIOS and choose disk HARD Compatible AHCI mode. Then, you don't need an additional driver.

I changed my OS winXP SP3.

After reading a lot of posts, I finally installed my new operating system but with SATA compatibility mode. I tried to change again in AHCI mode, but every time I tried Windows hangs at loading. I also tried to install Storage Manager after installation of the OS, but it fails. So I decided to change the XP disk, including the SATA driver, but after downloading all the drivers on my computer I can't find the SATA driver.

Can someone tell me where is the .inf file?

    Thank you to

    Hello

Firstly it is not possible to change the compatibility mode to AHCI after installing Windows. You can only do before installing XP, otherwise you get a BSOD.

However, if you have downloaded the Storage Manager you must extract the files from the .exe file. Open a command line and type the following command:
    ' - A - a - PC:------'

After that, you can copy the inf for external floppy drive files or integrate it into the new XP installation disc.

    Monastir,

What happens when it stops it is have a Sata driver. It is on the drivers cd you received with your computer. You can also start the computer and press F2 to enter the bios. From there down to Configuration system - SATA Operation and change this to ATA. It is located to AHCI. Save the changes and restart the installation. Once you have loaded Windows and drivers installed, you will need to go back to AHCI.

  • I re-formatted my c: drive then re installed windows XP now I'm locked up.

I re-formatted my c: drive then re-installed windows XP. Now windows will ask a password that I don't have. How can I bypass this password or just reformat my drive c: again.   I have to assume that I put a password somewhere, but no password I would have used work wil.

    Hello

    ·         Did you enter the password during the installation of Windows XP?

Every time that Windows XP is installed on a system, it creates a default account called "Administrator" and by default, this account is not protected by Word. Then try to connect using the empty password in safe mode and check.

I suggest you follow the troubleshooting steps form the article and check if it helps.

Thank you for your message.  Remember that the operating system itself takes place and many OEM systems contains a recovery partition which can take up to a space as well.

    A300-AIW (PSAGCE)
I installed windows XP por, 32-bit instead of Vista.
but there is a problem. I need drivers for SATA, because XP is very slow.
I changed with the sata from the bios compatibility instead of AHCI mode.
Can someone help me find this driver?

[Sorry for my English, I'm french]

    Hello!

Yes, you need SATA drivers for AHCI mode, and if you have more performance.

You can download the driver from Toshiba Web site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

Download the Storage Manager, you will find the SATA drivers who need you.

Copy the driver on an external floppy drive or you build your own installation with nLite disc.

    Hello

As far as I know the Satellite A100 is equipped with a SATA HDD and so you need the SATA drivers before installing Windows XP.

It is a known issue and you will find hundreds of discussions here in the forum about this Yes, you can take a few minutes to use the forum search.

On your laptop, you need the Storage Manager you can download from the Toshiba site. Then, you can create a new installation with nLite disk or you are using an external floppy drive. I think that this document could be useful for you:

You can check yourself on the Toshiba driver download page:

Your model is part of the PSC08E series and is therefore all the drivers available and if you can get all the drivers, everything will work! :)

  • Should Satellite Pro M70 driver SATA?

Satellite Pro M70 must SATA driver for HARD drive?
If yes where can I find it?

    Hello

Hmm. Satellite Pro M70 is a bit older, but it supports the SATA HDD controller and usually the SATA drivers should be included.

As far as I know that Windows XP should include SP2! This is important.
In addition, you must include the driver AHCI (Intel SATA AHCI Controller V5.1.0.1022) for Win XP.

Usually, this driver should be required to get the XP working on the M70.
Just Google for this Intel SATA AHCI Controller driver
Page Intel should also provide this driver too

  • Re: Satellite A300D-11 t - how to install Windows and software provided?

    Hello
I have a Toshiba Satellite A300D-11 t (model: PSAK0E-00700DGE.) Due to the mistake of hard drive, hard drive has been formatted and I lost my OS. When I bought it two years ago, the laptop came with Windows Visa and other software. But I don't have any software CD this time except the mannual.

Please help me how can I have my Visa settings or factory of origin.
    Thank you
    Ben

    Hi Ben,

The problem is that you must create this disk with Windows and all the drivers/tools yourself if it of not given with the computer. This can be done with the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Media Creator who creates the Toshiba recovery disc. This disc contains a picture to factory settings (Windows with all the drivers and tools) and can be used to restore the factory settings every time.
So you need this disc to install Vista with the supplied software.

In any case, now it s too late and you need to order such a drive of Toshiba directly but it s not for free:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

Of course, you can install Windows on a normal disc of Microsoft, but then you must install all the drivers and tools yourself so recovery disk is the easiest way and pre-tested by Toshiba. ;)

  • How do I uninstall Satellite L300 - 11 q Vista and install Windows XP

    Hello!

Please help: How do I uninstall Windows Vista from my laptop and install Windows XP?
Should I do something with discs and seized BIOS, or I can just format C drive and then install XP CD-drive?

How can I make a recovery disk before you uninstall Vista?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

It's very easy if you want to get rid of Vista simply boot from the Windows XP CD, format the HARD drive and install XP on partition C instead of Vista.
    That s it.

I put t know what laptop have you but the laptop most recent are equipped with the SATA controller and the SATA driver must be installed or included in the CD of Win XP to install XP on the HARD drive. The SATA driver is part of the Manger of Intel Matrix Storage, which can be downloaded from the Intel site or page of the Toshiba driver.

Just FYI; in this forum, you can find a lot of details in the various messages on the Intel storage Manger. Just use the search option.

    Good bye

  • New HARD drive - how to install Windows?

    Hey guys,.

I have a problem with my Dell Dimension 9150. A friend of mine gave me as a gift, because I built his new computer. We put his HARD drive in his new computer.

The problem is: there is no CD of his computer.

I have the original Windows XP and Windows MCE and CD licenses. The Dimension has a MCE key so I would like to install MCE.

After installing a new HARD drive, I tried to install Windows. BIOS shows me the HARD drive. When I start the installation of Windows and choose "Windows Installer", I get to the screen where I can choose, what partition I would use. But installing Windows shows me no HARD drive!

Don't know if I need SATA drivers? If I should need it, where can I find them? And how to get them in the Windows installation? I know that I can load pressing F6, but I don't have a floppy device.

Would be great, if someone could help me.

  • Adding an SSD as a boot drive - how to install Windows Vista Start

To speed up my new e9105z, I bought a new 80 GB Intel X - 25 M to reduce disk latency and complete the 640GO HARD drive came with my computer.

Drive has been installed successfully, recognized by the PC and formatted with the Windows Vista Disk Manager tool.  When I use the BIOS tool to set the Intel SSD as my boot drive, it says that some files of startup is missing, and I come to on the HARD disk as the startup disk.

Bottom line: how to install Windows Vista on the SSD and configure it to start?  Did I lose my classic HDD data in the process?

    Thank you

Here is where I am/measures taken.  HP of course makes this difficult process:

    (1) used the CD Creator to make a backup.  (Note that the CD - R does not work with the e9105z software.  Do only DVD-R).  (I tried the system HARD disk recovery image.  He simply reinstalled itself on the HARD disk.)

    (2) the value of Vista installed on the SSD via backup DVDs.  System starts beautifully with SSD.  Hooray! I was about to declare mission accomplished, then...

    (3) Reconnected my HDD SATA cable, she failed to be the startup disk.

    (4) I used disk management to reformat the HARD drive to erase its boot sector.  It is always default to the HARD disk, which is more a Vista on it.  Now, I must go into the BIOS and choose the Intel SSD as boot drive whenever I turn on manually.

Any idea on what needs to be done to configure the BIOS to finally settle the SSD as my boot drive?  The backup system image is still on the old hard drive.  Could that be throwing?

The SSD speed is great, but the 6 + hours spent on Vista reinstall, reinstall and reinstall throughout this trial and error process made a royal PITA to do.  It seems that HP didn't consider that whether by adding a second drive that is bootable.

    Thank you

    millergd

You should be able to select the startup disk in the BIOS.  Restoring image shouldn't be a factor.  If the BIOS settings do not work, I would swap the connectors between the readers.

    Good luck
