  If you use iCloud photo library on the iPhone, your photos in the Photo.app iPhone will use iCloud storage and this is what you will see in system preferences > iCloud on Mac as well. The iCloud storage is shared by all devices using the same AppleID and not separated for each device.

  My iCloud drive is enabled in my iPhone 6 + and iPad Pro and on the Apple TV. I can see all the photos and videos on my Apple TV. However, when I opened the iCloud reader app on my iPad Pro, no photos or videos are indicated. He is white, except for a couple of documents. • videos and photos in the iCloud drive?

  I would use iCloud as an external hard drive.
  I want to keep my pictures and videos on iCloud and remove them from my phone.
  I understand that if I delete the pictures and videos from my iphone which photos and videos will remove also iCloud.
  I now have a plan of storage of 1 t because I can't afford to lose photos or videos, and now my MacBook Pro is also complete.
  Another thing is that my iphone can not save on the iCloud - it is April 2015 and it has never worked since.

  iCloud library is not designed as an external storage or a backup service. It is designed as a synchronization service to put at the disposal of all your images on all your devices and sync all of your changes to these devices.

  If you are short on storage space, set the settings of your Photos to keep only a local library optimized. Library of photos on your computer should, however, be at full resolution, so it acts as a backup in iCloud. Buy an external hard drive if you wish.

• iPhone Photo / video storage?

  I have an iPhone 64 GB 6 s. I use the photos app with thousands of pictures and videos stored in the cloud. I have "value for the storage of the iPhone" enabled on my phone, but still have "photos and camera" with 30 GB of my iphone storage (my entire library is about 100 GB).

  I have 70 GB of my available icloud allocation.

  Why isn't this 30 GB in the cloud, thus freeing up space on my phone?

  Basically, when you want to add\upload a video to show and share you can simpy:

  1. download the file itself

  2. use a URL where the video content.  It is usually a url of the WEB server.

  such as:

  http://webserver.company.com/videos/movietrailer.FLV

  You can access your iCloud drive iCloud photo library, but you can create folders with pictures, it store them here, if you wish.

  That will transfer your photos to iCloud, but they will be synced to your iPhone. So if you remove the iPhone they will be also removed iCloud. You can choose a mode of optimization, where lower resolution versions of the photos will appear on your computer.

  For what you describe, that is, have your photos only in an environment of cloud that you can view on the phone, you need a different solution. One option is Google Picasa with a companion app to upload photos on PicasaWeb. Shutterfly has a similar capacity. You can also use Dropbox, mettle and a new intriguing entry in the world of the cloud, upthere.com. I use up there for a few months. It comes with a camera app that will post new photos directly to your upthere.com account, but can also upload existing photos. It also provides the same services for music, if you want to free up the space occupied by your music library. And is currently free.

  Here are my problems:

  -First of all, I would like to have access to all the photos from my iPhone, or at least through a Web browser. (Possibly a 3rd party App as well)

  -In addition, I would like to share some albums, events with family and friends - some have products apple, some not.

  -J' I pretty much want to avoid sharing it, export these events to a 3rd party (like Flickr) site just for the pleasure of sharing

  -How to manage large libraries in general? Y at - it an application that I can use to export automatically photos in another library automatically as soon as they reach a certain age or my library a certain size?

  -J' I need an app that is at least capable of split and merge libraries, because every time I have create a new library, faces to re - learn again.

  I would find a really easy solution, all make it too complicated in the past. -Sorry, Apple. With iPhoto and Aperture, there was a lot more 3rd Party apps available and everything seems to be easier.

  I would like to know if you have any comments or suggestions and thanks in advance for your help and your thoughts.

  You must be very careful with that set up. What you are doing could certainly corrupt an iPhoto or Aperture Library. There is no Apple support article to say definitively if the NAS are supported for libraries of Photos, but there are a lot of posts here from people who have had problems with libraries on a NAS. So, make sure you have a good back up to a disk in Mac OS extended (journaled) format.

  Given the constraints you describe the sick thing, we work for you to make your own website and upload your photos and videos to. Restrict access with a password. This means that anyone on any OS or device can access, it is not a 3rd site part. It's the only thing that will work across all of the devices.

  PowerPhotos will split and merge libraries.

  I'm looking for a way native extract/transfer and save all iOS app photos/video of my iMac message without having to flip through each thread message to select pictures and videos. There are many threads to pass by...  I've used the Preview.app to display pictures of my backup folder iPhone MobileSync on my iMac, which seems to have worked to extract all the images in the Messages.app on my iPhone at the same time. However, there was also video included, and I don't am not sure about the video was extracted from the iOS Messages.app or retrieved in a format that I can read.

  I was wondering if anyone knows a way to extract all the video and photos from an iPhone to a Mac so that I can record before deleting all messages to make room on my iPhone?  I prefer not to use if possible third-party applications.

  I was able to use the details option in the upper right of any window of a particular message in order to get all the images/videos sent by this particular user. Once I've selected all the images/videos that I wanted to save I could right click on one of the image selected, who brought up the option Save this group in my library of photos.

  There is no disk icloud - you talk about iCloud photo library I think

  As for DropBox so far that no one could think I saw or heard of the box used to back up or transfer the library because the library must be on a formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) volume and drop box is not correctly formatted

  And note that ICPL is not a backup - it's a way to share your library between multiple devices - you still need one or more local backups
